Chapter 10 : On Our Way

After I left the office of Sir Alistair I saw Mr. Dan was waiting outside for me. We returned to his house.

With so much talking with Sir Alistair I didn't have the idea how late it was. It's already so dark now. It was good that Mr. Dan was here to take me with him.

They were curious about what I and Sir Alistair talked about. But I didn't think it was a good idea to tell them everything.

And don't even know how much I should tell, so I just said that Sir Alistair asked about me. And he said that he will take me somewhere next morning.

Next day, in morning Sir Alistair, me and Mr. Dan left the mansion . Usually Mr. Dan was driving the carriage. But I was sitting inside, with Sir Alistair this time.

He started talking first.

- " Your dress is not proper. We have to buy a new one." While looking at me he said.

- "Oh, okay." I replied.

He didn't say anything after that, just looked straight at me. Maybe he was just thinking something else.

After sometime we reached a market place. Sir Alistair waited inside the carriage and Mr. Dan and I went to a shop.

Mr. Dan was going to ask for a dress, but I stopped him. I asked for a full set for a boy. Mr. Dan looked surprised but he didn't say anything.

I changed into those and returned to the carriage.

Sir Alistair was also looked curious. Before he could ask anything I told him that if I have to hide my identity, I should do as much as I can do about it.

He silently nodded with agreement. But then he started laughing.

After that he said,

" Then we should change your looks too, don't you think so.

Hahaha. You are a child after all.

But you still look like a little girl. Your disguise didn't work. "

I understand now. My hair. It gives away my identity as a girl I guess. I will take care of it when I get home.

- " You don't have to take it that seriously. You train yourself and leave all thinking to me." Sir Alistair said.

- " Alright. But where are we going now ?" I asked.

- " We are going to get you a teacher. He might not want to come at first. But you have to convince him. "

- " Me ?! How can I ? I don't even know that person ! "

- " You will."

He continued,

"He came with your mother. They were from same witch tribe."

"But in witch tribes men don't have much control over their mana, so they can't do magic well."

"So he became Knight of the empire to protect her. He loved her too. But your mother, oblivious to that fact considered him as big brother."

"When your mother got married and left with your father he felt sad."

"But when we get the news of her death , he acted like he has lost his life."

"You look so much like your mother. I think you can do it."

- " I will try." I replied.
