Chapter 3 : The Palace

I followed Dan. I knew that I can't do anything at this point. I'm just a small child now. The hazy memory of past life doesn't help in this world.

Even though I remember everything from birth up until now in this life too, that isn't enough. I don't have much knowledge of this world.

Dan took me to his quarter. He explained everything to his wife Nora.

Unlike Dan who looks like a giant to me, Nora looks normal.

After hearing that sir Alistair allowed me here she said, - "Master took you in, so you can stay as long as you want here. What's your name?"

" Thank you. And my name is Sia"

" Alright Sia, you should change your dress first. But you have to wear Ivan's shirt for the time being. He is my son."

-" It's alright, I prefer wearing a shirt than a dress. " I said.

After getting ready and having breakfast Nora and Dan left for their work. Nora also works at Redford house.

Only Ivan left at home with me. He didn't talk much till now. His mother Nora is not much of a talker either. He is about eight years old. But he looks bigger, just like his father.

I was wearing his old and small clothes.

He broke the silence, " What are you going to do now? "

" I don't have any place to go, so I like to stay here, for a few days or months, maybe. "

" No, I was asking about right now ."

" Oh, I don't know, what about you? "

" I will practice."

" Practice?"

" Yes, with a sword."

" Oh, can I see?"

" Okay, come with me then."

After that, we left. On our way, he showed me many things inside the palace. The whole area is called the palace and the main house is called mansion by them.

I was wondering for some times and finally, I asked, " Your parents both went to the main house, why didn't you go? Is it because of me ?"

He answered, " No, it's for another reason."

While talking we reached a gate, where a guard was standing.

He looked at Ivan and asked, "For training?"

Ivan nodded, "Yes."

We went inside. Inside the gate, there is a narrow walking path. On the left side of it has a big ground and in the right few rooms.

Maybe those are training halls.

After we passed the supposed playground, we reached another place.

Here some wooden poles of human height were standing here and there. And in the corner was a rack with wooden swords of different sizes.

Ivan looked at me and said, "You can do whatever you want, just don't go too far."

I said, "Okay, I will stay here."

After watching him practice, I started feeling bored and lied down on the ground.
