"What if he wants to take them away from me?" Aurora asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

The nurse's expression turned sympathetic. "We'll do everything we can to support you, Aurora. But you need to be prepared for the possibility that Ethan Blackwood may have rights as the father."

Aurora felt a cold dread creeping up her spine. She couldn't lose her babies. She had to find a way to keep them safe.

Ethan's eyes narrowed. "I know that I'm the father," he repeated. "And I know that I want to be involved in their lives."

"I don't want you involved," she said finally, trying to sound firm and resolute. "I don't want you anywhere near my babies."

Ethan's expression turned cold and hard. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with menace.
