Hestia

"Punta tayo sa cafeteria." Clerk said after putting the books that he use to his bag, I looked at my wristwatch to see what time is it, quarter to 11? Maaga pala kaming pinag-lunch ni Ms. Kat, our history teacher.

"Tara na, kumukulo na din kasi ang sikmura ko." Vaughan commented habang hinihimas-himas ang kaniyang t'yan. Pumunta kami sa cafeteria, 'di gaanong marami ang estudyanteng kumakain dito, karamihan ay sa old cafe dahil mas maluwang doon.

"Milktea?" Vaughan ask with matching peace sign pa. 'Di na nakapagtatakang yun agad ang itatanong niya dahil sa old school namin, which is 3 blocks apart from here, ay palagi may kasamang milktea ang pagkain namin ng lunch. "Ako na ang o-order."

Bumili na si Vaughan ng apat na milktea, habang hinihintay namin ito, I heard a meow tone coming from my pocket. Oh a text message from the principal.

Ano na naman bang meron. "Pinapapunta tayo ni principal sa empty room." Bulong ko kay Hades, but he only rolled his eyes.

Nang dumating na ang in-order naming milktea, tumayo na ako sumunod naman si Hades at naglakad palabas. "Hestia! Saan kayo pupunta?" Ghan shouted na s'yang dahilan para mapatingin sa kaniya ang mga estudyante dito at mapahinto ako sa paglalakad.

Lumapit ako ng kaunti, at hindi pinansin ang pagsunod ng tingin sa akin ng mga estudyanteng kumakain dito. "It's an emergency." Bahagya kong hininaan ang aking boses.

"Sama naman kami?" Nagpa-puppy eyes niyang sabi, tumango nalamang ako at sinama sila kung saan man ako at si Hades patungo.

When Hades heard what inspector said he's eyes squinted and darted a fast and sharp gaze at me asking what-crime-is-he-talking-about, kahit hindi niya sabihin alam kong tinatanong, through his facial expression. I bit my lower lip and looked away.

Ilang minuto din ang lumipas bago dumating ang result ng examination. "Base on the test, walang na-detect na lason sa baso, pero sa katawan meron, which cause her cell death, Ricin." Paliwanag nang isang police officer na inutusan ni inspector Chayrez.

Binuklat ko kaagad ang result nang mai-abot sa amin ang folder.
