It was already late at night when Mingi finally heard the door open. He was sitting on the couch, his elbows resting on his knees, looking exhausted, but his eyes lit up when he saw Yunna enter.
Despite all his tiredness, a latent desire emerged as he watched her. She looked stunning, her hair a little messy from the wind, the natural glow on her face.
“Why are you so late?” he asked, his voice hoarse, as he stood up.
Before Yunna could answer, Mingi pulled her close, his strong hands grabbing her waist. The touch was not just firm; it was full of need, of something visceral. He held her tightly, his dark eyes fixed on hers, the intensity of the moment making Yunna’s heart race.
He wanted to feel her warmth, wanted her energy to soothe him, to calm him somehow. But at the same time, there was something possessive in his expression, something that said he wouldn't let her get away so easily.
Yunna blinked, trying to pull away slightly, but Mingi's proximity made her realize. He had been drinking. The faint smell of alcohol mixed with his perfume hit her, and she knew his behavior was even more impulsive because of it.
"Mingi..." she began, but he interrupted her, his gaze serious and hungry.
"You know I hate it when you do that," he murmured, his voice almost too low to be heard, but full of emotion.
"Leave me here, alone, with no answer..." He rested his forehead against hers, taking a deep breath. Yunna knew he wanted to argue, knew he was furious. But at the same time, he looked tired, as if he was holding the weight of something he himself couldn't explain.
"Mingi, you drank," she commented softly, trying not to provoke even more tension in the air. He laughed briefly, almost bitterly.
“Does that change the fact that you kept me waiting?”
Yunna knew he was torn between the desire to fight and the need to be comforted. So instead of arguing, she simply ran her hands down his arms, trying to ease his tension.
“We’ll talk tomorrow, okay? You need to rest.”
But Mingi didn’t seem willing to let her go so easily.
---
Mingi held her close, with no intention of letting her go. The tension between them was palpable, and while Yunna tried to soothe him with a gentle touch, he held her tighter, as if he feared she would disappear at any moment.
“I don’t want to wait until tomorrow,” he said, his voice low and filled with something deeper. The possessive tone was clear, as if he was trying to absorb all of her energy for himself.
“I want you now.” Yunna felt a chill run down her spine at his words, but at the same time, a sense of understanding dawned on her.
Mingi wasn’t just angry; he was wanting to connect, even if in a possessive and somewhat uncontrolled way. She knew that, as difficult as it was to deal with him at times like these, he would never do anything to hurt her. Still, she couldn’t ignore what she felt.
“Mingi...” she began, trying to soften the situation, but he didn’t let her continue. He pulled her into an abrupt kiss, without warning, with the urgency of someone who had their heart trapped and wanted to free it.
Yunna, for a moment, found herself speechless, with no room to react. All she could feel was his warmth, the weight of his arms around her, and the taste of alcohol on her lips. This wasn’t just any fight. It was something deeper, something he couldn’t express clearly.
She could see the mix of anger and desire in his eyes. Mingi had always been a man of control, but at that moment, he was lost, and Yunna was the only anchor he had.
“I know you’re tired, Mingi.” She tried, trying to calm his nerves, but he interrupted her again, taking the floor.
“Tired of waiting. Tired of being patient.” His fingers gently squeezed her waist, but his expression was distant, as if he was dealing with something he couldn’t control.
“You don’t understand, Yunna… I… I can’t live like this.” She looked at him, understanding that he wasn’t just talking about the current moment, but about the need to be in control, to not be left behind.
His upbringing, the fact that he had always been spoiled and had everything at his fingertips, now became a burden he didn’t know how to deal with. The fear of losing control consumed him.
“I’m here, Mingi,” she said, placing a gentle hand on his chest, trying to soften the hardness he carried. “I’m not going anywhere.”
He took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling as his eyes softened, still holding the intensity of frustration, but now with something more vulnerable behind it. He needed her, more than he would admit.
“I just…” Mingi began, but the sentence died on his lips. He couldn’t put into words what he felt. The possessiveness, the desire, the frustration.
Yunna sighed softly, touching his face affectionately. “You don’t need to control me, Mingi. I’m yours, but not because you order me around. I’m yours because I chose you, because I want to be with you.”
Mingi closed his eyes for a moment, absorbing her words. He knew what she meant, but the fear of losing control still consumed him.
“I don’t know how to deal with this…” he finally admitted, his voice hoarse.
“Let’s figure it out together, then,” Yunna replied, with a gentle smile. He watched her silently, feeling her energy invade the space between them.
Then, without another word, Mingi pulled her closer, not to hold her, but to snuggle. The warmth of her body was the only thing he needed at that moment. No more control.
Just the certainty that she was there, with him. The night was quiet, but Mingi still didn’t seem relaxed. Yunna knew he was dealing with a whirlwind of feelings.
His rigid posture and impassive gaze betrayed what he was trying to hide — he was in one of those “macho” crises, trying to hide his vulnerability behind a controlling and possessive demeanor.
Yunna, however, was not intimidated. She had dealt with this before. Growing up in an orphanage, surrounded by men, she knew exactly how to deal with this kind of attitude. She knew that behind the tough attitude was an insecure man, who was just trying to protect himself from something he couldn’t control.
She watched him, with a slight smile on her face, knowing that Mingi was needier than he wanted to admit. Instead of getting frustrated with his behavior, Yunna approached him gently, as if she understood the internal storm he was facing.
“Mingi, you need to stop hiding behind this,” she said, her voice calm but firm.
“I know what’s going on. There’s no point in trying to play the macho man with me. You can be yourself, you know that, right?”
Mingi looked at her with some bewilderment, as if he was surprised by the calm and confident way she approached him. But Yunna knew he was just tired of fighting something he didn't know how to control.
"I'm not trying to..." he began, but was interrupted by Yunna, who gently held him.
"I know, Mingi. I know," she whispered, stroking his head, as a way to calm him down. She knew he just needed a little understanding.
He surrendered to her touch, his shoulders relaxing as the tension disappeared. The "macho" attitude faded, and slowly, he surrendered to the affection Yunna offered him. There were no more words, just the feeling that he could be vulnerable there, by her side.
She hugged him tighter, pulling him closer, as if saying, without words, that he no longer needed to hide. He closed his eyes, surrendering to the comfort she provided.
Finally, Mingi let his neediness be embraced, without resisting, without trying to control it. He knew that, there with her, he could just be himself.
