CHAPTER 18: UNRESTRAINED

"Mo yun, i want to know more about you"

"Uh? Are you joking?! You're seriously injured right now... you...." Mo yun rambled in fear as Diane walked up to her slowly then placed a hand on her head

"I'm fine, trust me" Diane said as everywhere became silent, the sound of the harsh wind whistling was heard as Diane's long pony tail waved mid air

The girls arrived at the garden searching for Diane as they heard her laugh out

"There she is" Harley said as the girls froze at the sight of a little cute Asian girl in white sitting next to her.

"Did she really do that?"

"Well she did say she would punish me but she loves me the most" Mo yun bragged as Diane's smile slowly disappeared and her eyes filled with emptiness, Mo yun noticed facing her

"Uh.. what's wrong?" She asked as Diane turned to her then showed a bright smile

" Nothing"

" ...." Mo yun frowned as Diane smiled again

" Your family is really nice, although you're poor you treat each other better than the rich"

"Well of course it's what family is about...what about yours?" Mo yun asked out of the blue as Diane's face was filled with shock and Mo yun was met with silence as the wind howling was heard with the snow that covered the girls

"I don't have a family" Diane replied making Mo yun shocked too

"Really? My mom told me everyone has a family, that it was the best thing in the world, you would never part and will always be together" Mo yun said as Diane looked down on the snow, the wind loosened the belt around her hair as it fell down to the sides of her face

" Then I guess...mine wasn't a family" Diane replied as Mo yun bowed feeling sad

" I..."

" But it's nothing to worry about!" Diane said as Mo yun raised her head

" Ah?"

" I've got friends that would accompany me when I feel lonely, and I have you, my trusted follower"

" You accept me?!" Mo yun asked with her eyes glistening with tears

" Of course you're cute" Diane replied as Mo yun puffed up in embarrassment

" I'm your age I can't be called cute!"

" Really? You don't look my age..."

" I'll take that as a compliment "

" Suit yourself" Diane replied as they arrived at the colleges garden, she walked towards a white swing sitting on it

" Your friends..." Mo yun muttered as Diane turned to her

" What about them?"

" Why do you trust them so much?"

" Because they are not just friends..."

" Hmn?"

" They are good friends " Diane said as the girls froze

"What do you mean? Every friend is good" Mo yun argued as Diane smiled

"Nope"

" What do you mean?"

" Not all friends are good, some exist to destroy you, wish to see you reduced to nothing and seek your doom every day"

" That's not a friend, that's an enemy"

" No, they are still friends"

" I don't understand "

" When faced with a big responsibility its your duty to understand" Diane replied more to herself than Mo yun

" Uh?"

"It's nothing, when you're older you'll understand"

"I still don't like that you quit"

" Uh?" Diane asked as Mo yun turned to her

" I'm sure you tried your hardest to get into Yale's, why give it up just for a stranger?"

" Because a stranger....is just a friend or enemy you don't know yet, if you don't approach them you won't know who is who" Diane said with a smile

Diane said as Mo yun froze at her smile

*Mo yun: "That smile...it holds so much pain and secret...yet it's peaceful and...warm"*

" What's on your mind?" Diane asked after noticing Mo yun had spaced out

" Master, please take me in!" Mo yun said bowing as Diane froze

" Little brat, I'm not rich you know"

"I don't care about that, money isn't everything, I just...I just want to stay with you, wherever you are"

"If that's what you want, it can't be helped"

" Wh...what...you're taking me in?"

"Idiot, I already took you in earlier didn't I?"

" Oh right..but really? So easily...."

" Hmn, such little trust, fine then I guess we'll just see how it plays out"

" Hmn, now tell me, those ladies that beat you up, why did they do that?"

" It is a normal...was a normal thing for me, inorder to have something to eat for in a day..I have to run their errands and do their assignments"

" Slavery, why didn't you complain to the old lady"

" Old lady...you mean the VC?"

" Uh...yeah, the VC"

" I did, she tried to help but the committee was only able to track down a few of them, before giving up, when she found out, she set out for another way but I haven't received news from her since then"

" So that's what she was up to" Diane whispered as she turned to Mo yun

" Alright, till she's back I'll take responsibility for all of you"

" Ah?"

" Do you know where the others are?"

" Yeah...they are in the camp assigned to us "

" Camp? In the snow?! Not good, we'll get them back today"

" Th..then what else?"

" What else? I said till she's back I will take responsibility"

" Hmn"- Mo yun smiled

-" You know you're a nice soul"

" I told you before...I'm worse..."

" Then worse is better" Mo yun cut in as she smiled at Diane who sighed

" A real idiot you are"

"Hey" Diane called again as Mo yun looked up to her

"Uh?"

"Family... What's it like?"

"You..." Mo yun said with various emotions in her eyes as Diane turned away

"I only wanted to know because I might be asked in my new major, no biggie"

"Ok then, Family... Family..."

"Ha! Such an idiot, you don't even know what family is"

"No I'm not! It's just not something you can say in one word!"

"Ah?"

"Family protect you from harm, Family picks you up at your lowest, Family is always there for you no matter what, Family never abandons you, Family picks on you, Family makes you strong, Most importantly Family loves you"

" Love again... I don't understand... " Diane said rubbing her head as the girls sighed silently

" You.. " Mo yun said as Diane frowned

"Alright then, I'll make do with the knowledge you told me" Diane said as the girls walked out

" Oh... It's you guys, great timing I was tired of pretending not to notice you"

" Uh... You knew we were following you? " Jackie asked as Diane nodded

" Yeah, I noticed immediately I left class"

" You... " Astrid growled as Diane rubbed her hair giggling

" So what were you doing sneaking around?"

" Nothing, we dropped out of that class"

" Good, it wasn't a nice one anyways" Mo yun said as Diane froze

" What do you mean? The courses were great, why did you guys do that?"

" No reason" Sage replied as Diane bowed with a sigh

" Kids this days, think they rule the world"

" You sound like an old woman " Harley said as Diane felt a chill down her spine

*Diane: " I feel like I forgot something"*

"So...what now?"

"Uh? Oh....I am not a student anymore..mmm...."

"You don't have a plan?" Astrid's heavy voice asked as her looks became dangerous

"Of course I do, I do, I was thinking since I've wasted a year I should go with courses with little years"

" Wasted a year?"

" Yeah, Christmas is in a week" Diane announced as the girls froze

" So soon" They muttered together in low spirit

" What do you mean so soon, Snow's falling heavily"

"Yeah....." The girls replied as Vanna changed the topic noticing Mo yun

"So who's the new girl"

" Right, guys meet my street sister Mo yun"

"Street sister? You grew up together?"

"Nope! Just met her, sides she's chinese just like I am"

"Except you aren't, you're American" Astrid said as Diane smiled then walked under the shade of a big tree

" You...." The girls said as Diane pulled off her face revealing a pale white skin with a long straight mark on her left eyes drawing from her eyebrow to her cheek bone. She rubs her arms and legs with the snow as they turned white like her face with scars everywhere and her pupils aqua blue

"Yo!" Diane said as the girls froze on their stand

"You...you..."

"Sorry but the sunlight is unbearable, I can only use the disguise if I want to walk in the day like you guys" Diane explained with a smile

" Then how did you..."

" The snow, it protects me from the sun" Diane said as she touched the snow her Caucasian looks came back

" It's a technique I came up with, I call it a thousand disguise"

" A thousand disguise" Mo yun muttered as Diane nodded

" Yeah..is it cool?"

" Hmn" Mo yun nodded as Diane smiled

"Cute" She muttered again making Mo yun blush

"Master..."

"Master?" The girls repeated as Diane nodded proudly

"As of now, I am her master and will guide her and the remaining kids"

"Have you guided yourself first?" Sage replied as Diane got startled and fell down making Mo yun giggle

"You... really don't have high hopes for me do you?"

" Not a bit" Sage replied as Diane growled

" FINE THEN! MO YUN I'LL TAKE IN ALL OF YOU!" Diane declared as Mo yun got teary eyes staring at her

" YES MASTER!" She replied as Diane laughed proudly

" Why does this seem like it would go haywire" Astrid muttered as Sage replied

"Because it would"

"So....what's your major now?" Ruby asked as Diane smiled mischievously

"Hee hee hee, Cooking"

"COOKING?!" The girls except Jackie replied shouting as Diane hid behind a tree

"Hmn, I can explain"

"Funny that's my original major" Jackie said as the girls turned to her

" Uh? What do you mean?" Diane asked as Jackie smiled nervously

"Well the only reason I applied for business was because of Diane" Jackie said as the girls turned to Diane

"Wait a second, I didn't even know you then, so how can you say it was for me?"

" Well...I was originally assigned to art, because I have always dreamed of opening my own restaurant and serving people with smiles on their faces, but then I saw you on the first day and decided to follow you..till I lost track of my original purpose of coming here"

" Now that's creepy" Ruby said as Diane moved back a bit with the girls

" Come on, that as even before I saw your beautiful real angelic looks, aren't I genuine?" Jackie asked with a smile as Diane smiled back with a cute deep dimples forming on her cheeks

"Sure" Diane replied as Jackie blushed

"Okay, it's settled then, Jackie, Mo yun and Diane will apply for cooking classes, the rest of us would continue with our original programs"

" Hmn" The girls nodded as Mo yun tugged on Diane's clothes

" Uh? Oh! I need a bigger place"

" Hmn?" The girls replied as Diane looked down

" I kind of promise some people I'd take responsibility for them"

"Some people?" Astrid asked as Mo yun hid sighed

" You didn't plan this did you?" Mo yun asked in a disappointed voice

" Hee hee"- Diane giggled nodding

-"It really wasn't my plan but since I said it, I'd live up to it" Diane said as she turned to the girls

-" Would you like to live with me?"

"Away from the hostel?"

"Hmn, a really big house with many rooms" Diane said as the girls blinked

"This is a prank right?" Vanna asked as Diane shook her head hard

" I mean it, will you? I can show you the house today, I planned to bring Mo yun there too"

" Alright, well go with you" Sage said

" But it's...sorry did you say go with me?" Diane asked as the girls turned to Sage then nodded

" Sure" They replied as Diane jumped

" Alright! Mo yun get the other girls we'll set off later today...wait how many are you guys?"

"4, I'm the only girl" Mo yun muttered as Diane nodded slowly

" I see.. WAIT! DID YOU SAY YOU WERE THE ONLY GIRL?!"

" Hmn"

" How am I going to raise 3 boys, that sounds like hell!" Diane rubbed her head as Mo yun bowed

" It's okay you can..."

" I've got it! I'll leave them in the care of you guys! "

" Just because we are rich doesn't mean we don't have plans for our life you know!" Astrid shouted as Diane paused

" Uh? What do you mean? I'll take care of the expenses you just to help me watch them together"

" Oh...I can do that" Astrid said as the girls sighed

" By the way..." Diane said as the girls replied

"Hmn?"

"When will you graduate?"

"Well since we are all under the graduate program....this year"

"Next year" Mika said

"Next year" Harley said

"This year" Ruby said

"Next year" Tamar said

"Next year" Vanessa said

"Hmn...graduate program....that means I'll be graduating in 3 years!" Diane exclaimed as she shouted

" Why did I have to be impulsive and change my program! I could have graduated next year! This stinks!" Diane complained as Jackie replied

" Well I'll be with you won't I? Also, my brother has a 5 year course so he'll graduate with us too"

" What? The ice face would be here till we're gone?"

" Ice face?" The girls asked Diane who shouted

" AHHHH!! No way no way will I be with that ice cube till I graduate! I won't accept this!!!" Diane shouted as Jackie laughed

" Calm down" Sage said as the girls continued chatting
