Chapter 9: GUILTED

The next day all the girls except woke up to the alarm as they stretched, Ruby threw a pillow at Diane's face

"Hey wake up we have classes to attend"

"I just got revived from the dead, do I have to? "

" Yesssss " The girls replied in unison as Diane sat up groaning, her red hair flew in all directions long and fluffy

" You look terrible " Ruby said

" Awwn thanks, you look worse" Diane replied as Astrid threw a shoe at her

" No bad languages in the morning "

Diane turned to Ruby who shrugged

" No fair you didn't hit Ruby"

" Does she dare?" Ruby asked as Astrid smiled brightly running to the bathroom

" Argghhh" Diane groaned as Ruby gave a short laugh

" Ha!"

"I dare" Diane suddenly said as she threw her pillow down to Ruby letting it hit her face

"Well, twas nice knowing ya kid" Harley said as Diane froze then jumped off the top bunk as Ruby chased her around.

The girls freshened up, and since Diane lost her core and moon, her hair turned red temporarily

She walked out in a black robe as she meets Ruby, Sage and Vanna at the table

"Hey where did the rest go?"

"Off to class" Vanna replied

" I see" Diane said as she picked up a slice of bread walking towards her dressing room.

Diane walked out in a black baggy pants and black baggy top with a silver skull imprinted on it, her red hair was cut in a half oval shape at the front and tied at the back with a black ribbon as the rest of her hair fell to the sides of her face and her back down to her waist then she ties a black bandana tied on her forehead

"I guess I'm a gangster queen now" Diane said placing her leg on the chair as she threw a candy stick in her mouth intimidatingly

" Cool" Sage complimented as Diane squealed

" You think so?"

" Attitude.." Vanna said as Diane pretended to clear her throat and mimicked a deep voice

" I mean, think so?"

"I'd say you pass off as a cute baby gangster"

" BABY GANGSTER?!"-

-" Pfft! If only you knew..." Diane added as a mutter with a smirk

" Did you say something?" Sage asked as Diane shook her head immediately

" Let's go or we'll be late" Vanna said as they all froze then ran out.

The 4 girls rode to college as everyone stared at them. Diane got off her bike stretching under the sun

"I never knew it feels really nice to be under the sun like this" Diane said mid stretch as the girls smiled

" Hey, don't cause big trouble okay?" Sage said drawing her ear all of a sudden as Diane squealed in pain

"Ahhh my ear is sensitive!"

"Phmn! You know that yet you forgot this" Sage said wearing her a protective hearing ear.

"Oops! See ya later bye!" Diane replied running off as the girls shook their head.

Walking around the college, She sighed as she head towards the VC'S office

"Guess I explain the situation or I'm dead meat" Diane said with low spirit as she entered the VC'S office, Collins raised up her head to see her

"Yo!" Diane greeted as Collins sighed

"Oh, it's you, why did you change your hair? You smell different too... What are you doing here early this morning, don't you have classes to attend?"

*DIANE: Is she... drunk on duty again? "*

"What do you want punk?" Collins asked a little tired as she hits her head on the table

*Diane: "Seems like she had a fight with someone to make her this beat up, which means she doesn't know about me... "*

Diane squealed as she smiled creepily

" That's creepy... " Collins pointed out as Diane straightened up

"Forget it, everyone's got their own mess to deal with, why bother you with mine?" Diane replied walking out of the office as she hid a smile

*COLLINS: Was she hiding a smile?"* Collins asked confused as she shrugged it off.

*DIANE:"I wonder how she secured a job here?"* Diane muttered heading out of the Administrative block.

She walked back to class as she got different looks from both guys and girls on her way back.

*DIANE:"Is there something on my face?"* She muttered rubbing her face till she got to Engineering department.

"Guess not." Diane muttered as she entered the class, everyone turned to her in silence.

"Again with the stares, gosh!" Diane muttered a little bit angry

Since the lecturer had not come students sat down anywhere, including on their the desks.

"Rowdy...."Diane muttered again as Vanna and Vanessa waved at her

"There you are" Diane replied before freezing at their dressing

Vanna wore a purple shirt with a white skirt, folding her purple bandana into half and tying it to the back of her head

Vanessa on the other hand wore a yellow top and a blue jumpsuit also folding her yellow bandana but tying it to the side of her head

Diane stiffled a laugh as she walked up to them

"What did you do?"

"We are a gang now arent we?" Vanna asked as Diane laughed again

"Yeah, I forgot we were doing that, my bad"

"You obviously didn't, you have your bandana on" Vanna muttered

"Rule one, never call out your leaders lie"

"Gotten" Vanna replied

" Good" Diane smirked dangerously

"So you giving up on the bandana thing?" Vanessa teased as Diane brought out her bandana

"No, just had to see someone important so I took it off, won't happen again" Diane replied tying her bandana on her forehead.

"Okay Queen" Harley replied as Diane rolled her eyes

The girls in the class father around in groups as they gossiped

"I heard things haven't been going really smoothly for the Lu's lately"

"Yeah, I heard Bobby's grandfather is sick"

"Hmn, his dad died in an accident when he was young and his mom and grandpa were severely injured and barely holding on"

" It seems they were on their way to meet an old friend"

" Yeah, it was said to be someone the Lu's were really close to, even Bobby loved that family"

" I heard it was Jessica's family"

" I heard that too, I guess it was true, they were on their way to see Jessica's family but had an accident. I guess that's why Bobby really loves Jessica, she did a lot to help his family during the crash"

"Yeah and I heard his mother might not survive, she's been through different surgeries and medication for years but still can't get past the incident "

" I guess the loss of her husband hits hard"

" I also heard Bobby still has nightmares from the crash, he can't fall asleep at night, he takes pills to have strength to attend the company meetings"

" Really? I also heard Jessica helps a lot"

" Yh I when I heard she stayed with him till the ambulance came, I was touched, if that isn't true love I don't know what is" A girl said as Diane stood up glaring at the girls before walking out

"Hey D!" Vanna called out as the girls ran after her

"What's her deal?" The girls asked as they got pissed off by Diane's attitude towards Bobby.

Diane ran out trying to suppress her tears badly as the girls voices echoed in her ear all over

*"His dad died in an accident when he was young"*

*"He was all alone"*

*"The only person who he had was Jessica and Grandpa Lu"*

*"He takes pills to sleep and attend the company's meetings"*

*" Diane: Ice face I'm sorry"* Diane cried out as she got to a deserted field, she goes under a tree bowing as she folded her legs and securing them with her arms

"Ok" Sage replied as she stood up

"Ms Sage the class isn't over yet"

"I know" Sage replied running out as the lecturer sighed.

Robbie smirked watching her leave as the lecturer sighed continuing his class

Sage ran out meeting up with the girls

"We can't find her" Harley panicked as Sage sighed

"Calm down, you Astrid, Vanna search east, Vanessa, Harley west, Courtney, Tamar South, Ruby and I will take west, go"

The girls split up as they searched for Diane

Hours later Sage and Ruby decided to spilt up to expand the search.

"Diane?!" Sage called out as she got to the field then saw her

"Diane? What happened? " Sage asked as she ran to Diane who crashed on her, hugging her tightly

""I... I'm tired...I want to sleep" Diane muttered in tears

"Sure" Sage replied lending her shoulders

Diane smiled resting her head as Sage stroke her hair

"Did you try before getting tired?" Sage suddenly asked as Diane nodded, her tears flowed down to Sage's arm

" But that's not it, have you ever felt that the weight of the world is upon you alone and that no matter what, you mustn't break down or stop even for a second, you have to go on, your pain doesn't matter, your injuries doesn't matter, your scars are proof of your strength, you just have to get there, when you're there and turn your back to see your loved ones safe that's true victory, even if it meant people misunderstood you, hated you, would kill you if they have the slightest chance, that burden...Sage.. I'm tired, I want to forget it all " Diane whispered as she laid her forehead on Sage's shoulder

" I know, I know" Sage said as she stroke her hair gently

Meanwhile at the Lu company......

" This is the review for this year boss" A tall guy with blonde long hair packed in a low bun and blue eyes walked in dressed in a customized suit and trousers, his shoes were made of leather Bobby, as another guy dressed in a formal suit followed him followed him around

"Is everyone present?"

"Not everyone, Mr Jones, Mr Browns, Mr Williams, Mr Miller and Mr Davis are here the others are still unaccounted for"

" So only 40 percent of the company are present for the annual meeting? "

" Yes sir"

" Hmn" Bobby replied as his entire being went cold, Orion shook slightly

"Uh...boss, the shareholders has died a dozen times when they heard you'd be briefing today's meeting, on behalf of them could you use a gentler tone?" Orion suggested

"Gentle..." Bobby muttered entering the meeting room.

Everyone stood up to acknowledge his presence as he wore a poker faced expression.

"Report shows that since Lu company took in their latest models, sales dropped by 60 percent"

*ORION: Sir you didn't take my advice at all, even I'm shaking in my boots"*

" We drafted out a plan for that, we could bring out some new brand of outfits that match the season" Browns said

" Yes I have spoken to the designers they would be using a musical theme to support Yale's." Williams added

" Yeah there are so many talents there, Ms Snow is also out best talent yet, The young mistress is beautiful and would be perfect for our brand..." Mr Davis supported

" Flattery is useless to me, what i want is talent, whose face was used on our last products?" Bobby asked as Orion widened his eyes

*ORION: Boss, are you really asking me that? If I say Ms Snow isn't that tarnishing the young mistress' reputation?"*

"M..Ms.. Ms.. Snow"

"I see, then why do you all suggest the same face?" Bobby asked as the whole room became quiet

" What I need is a fresh face with brains and standards for our company to rise, we dropped to 3rd Largest in China due to repetition of past mistakes. Now that grandfather had given me the authority to take over, we'll do things my way"

Bobby ordered as the room became silent again

" Any objections?" Bobby asked as the room was pin drop silent

"I object" A male voice said as the doors opened

"Young master Tony..." Orion muttered as Bobby frowned. A tall guy walked in, fair with dark hair swooped to the back, dressed in a purple shirt rolled to his elbow and black long suit trousers

"What's the objection about? You didn't even attend today's meeting"

"Yes, that may be true but I own 20 percent of Lu group which make me qualified to be here, Young master Lu, you seem to give little respect to your bride to be."

" There's nothing personal in the business world "

" True, but my sister and I being share holder of 20 percent, which makes me wonder why you would be so cruel to exclude us from the meeting" Tony said as he smirked

" Orion please give a brief review of what happened earlier"

*ORION: Even when he uses please, I feel so scared.."* Orion said as he composed his feelings clearing his throat

"Ahem, the young master got to the company at 7 on the dot, he did a secret survey checking up on the company and it seemed to be in poor state. At 7:30 the young master and I set up a meeting with Mr Wong, closing 3 deals with 60 percent profit for the company. At 8 Mr Wong headed down to the meeting room with only 40 percent of the shareholders in seat."

" Thank you Orion, so where were you cousin?" Bobby asked as Tony gritted his teeth angrily

" As a matter of fact, reports were submitted to me about how you and your sister skipped all share holder meeting since grandpa stepped down. Not to mention the missing funds that were sent to the company by partners"

" You..."

" Cousin, do you mind shedding light on what happened?" Bobby asked as everyone murmured staring at Tony who couldn't talk back.

"You and your sister took advantage of my father's demise and grandfather's condition, but not anymore, As of now I official fill in the position of CEO according to grandfather's orders and will take care of the Lu corp affairs" Bobby said with a cold, ruthless voice as Tony couldn't speak back

" Coordinate with Orion and spread out for new partners that can represent the Lu group, the briefings would be emailed to you, mind you, your time on the job is limited, you all know what happens when you fail to get the job done" Bobby said glaring coldly

" Yes sir" Everyone bowed as Bobby walked out with Orion. Tony growled walking out too

" The boss seemed scary today"

" Yeah he even rejected Mr Snow's offer"

" He doesn't want to use his fiancee who do we use then?"

" Whoever we want to use we should find the face fast or we won't survive another meeting" Miller said as they nodded walking out

*ORION: It seems the boss didn't sleep through out today again*

" Boss...I think you should rest, you look tired"

" When is the next meeting?"

" In half an hour, your sister called and said you should see her immediately"

" What's her deal? "

" She said something about the new student in the hospital .." Orion said as Bobby froze

" What? Where is Jackie?"
