Who Is She?

Su Xiaoyan walked into her modest home, where the warm smell of dinner still lingered in the air. Her father, Mr. Su Leng, was seated on the worn couch, flipping through a newspaper, while her younger sister, Su Xiang, was already clearing the dishes from the table.

"You're back," her father said, setting the paper aside and looking at her with curiosity. "How did the interview go?"

Su Xiaoyan smiled as she placed her bag on the table. "It went well, Dad. I got the job. I’m going to be the CEO’s secretary."

Her words hung in the air for a moment before Su Xiang let out an excited scream. "Ahhhhhh! You did it, Sis! I knew you would!" she exclaimed, rushing over to hug her tightly.

"Careful, Xiang, you're going to crush her," their father chuckled, his voice filled with pride. "I knew you could do it, Xiaoyan. I’m so proud of you."

"Thank you," Su Xiaoyan said softly, hugging her sister back.

Su Xiang pulled away, her face lighting up with curiosity. "So, what’s he like? The CEO, I mean. Is he as handsome as the rumors say? 😏"

Su Xiaoyan laughed, shaking her head. "Xiang, you’re impossible. He’s… serious and very professional. There wasn’t much time to notice anything else."

Su Xiang pouted. "Ugh, boring answer. But still, this is amazing! Does this mean we’ll finally be able to afford that new fridge? The old one’s been making weird noises again. 🤨"

"Yes, Xiang," Su Xiaoyan said, smiling. "This job will help us a lot. We can fix the fridge and maybe even save up for your college fees."

Their father’s eyes softened. "You’ve always been the responsible one, Xiaoyan. But don’t forget to take care of yourself too."

"I won’t, Dad," she promised.

Su Xiang, ever the chatterbox, couldn’t resist. "Oh! Does this mean I get to brag to my friends that my sister works for the most powerful man in the city? 😏 They’re going to be so jealous!"

"Don’t go making a big deal out of it, Xiang," Su Xiaoyan warned playfully. "I just started. Let me settle in first."

"Fine," Su Xiang said with a dramatic sigh. "But I’m still telling them!"

The family spent the rest of the evening chatting, the atmosphere filled with laughter and hope for the future.

The next morning, Su Xiaoyan stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her outfit. She wore a crisp blue long-sleeve blouse tucked into a sleek black skirt, her hair neatly tied back. She looked professional and poised, but also undeniably beautiful.

"This will do," she murmured to herself, grabbing her bag and heading out the door.

She hailed a taxi and arrived at the towering glass building of Chen Enterprises. As she stepped out of the car, heads began to turn.

Inside the lobby, the reactions were no different. A group of employees near the reception desk exchanged hushed comments.

"Did you see her? She must be new."

"Yeah, but how did she get in? She’s way too pretty to be just a regular hire. 🤨"

"Maybe she’s one of those girls who… you know," another added with a sly smirk.

She start the company just three years ago. Just like every other employees who are female. Really want to get close to lee chen but to no avail.

"You’re disgusting," one of the women snapped, rolling her eyes. "Not every beautiful woman uses her looks to get ahead."

"Still, she’s too perfect," another woman said, her tone laced with envy. "There’s no way she got here without some… assistance."

Su Xiaoyan ignored the whispers as she walked confidently to her workstation. She had no time for baseless gossip. Her focus was on doing her job and proving herself.

As she settled into her desk, a male colleague approached, his face a mix of curiosity and admiration.

"Excuse me," he said, clearing his throat. "Are you new here?"

"Yes, I am," Su Xiaoyan replied politely.

"I see. Well, welcome to Chen Enterprises. I’m Zhang Wei from the marketing department. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask." 😏

Another employee, a young woman from HR, walked by and couldn’t resist chiming in. "Don’t mind Zhang Wei. He’s just trying to charm you like he does with every new hire."

The HR employee smirked. "Sure it’s not."

Su Xiaoyan chuckled softly but kept her focus on organizing her desk.

Throughout the morning, the buzz about her continued to spread. Some admired her professionalism, while others let jealousy cloud their judgment.

"She’s probably here to make a move on the CEO," one woman whispered to her friend. "Just look at her. She’s too Beautiful."

"Don’t be ridiculous," the friend replied. "Maybe she’s just really qualified."

"Qualified? Please. No one that beautiful gets hired without a hidden agenda. 🤨"

Su Xiaoyan remained unaware of most of the comments, choosing instead to focus on preparing for her first day. As she sat at her desk, she took a deep breath, determined to prove herself.

"This is just the beginning," she whispered to herself, straightening her posture.
