EPISODE 18

Dwayne Lexus De Villa's POV

"Baby, I’m sorry," I said apologetically, but she didn’t respond.

"Here’s what you asked for, baby," I said as I carefully took the items from Lucas and handed them to Miracle, making sure to avoid any further trouble.

She smiled, took the items, and walked away, leaving the large scissors behind.

Percy and Lucas exchanged glances, smirked, and then looked at me.

"What?" I asked. Suddenly, they both burst out laughing like they were about to die from it.

"What’s so funny?" I shouted, annoyed.

They kept laughing, slapping their knees and clutching their chests. Irritated, I grabbed the large scissors.

"Stop laughing, or I’ll cut something off!" I threatened. They immediately tried to stifle their laughter, looking like they were about to burst from holding it in.

"Just leave before I lose it and cut you both. Because of you, I almost lost my 'junjun'!" I shouted. Their laughter only grew louder at my words.

"What’s so funny about that?" I snapped, but they continued laughing.

"You really want me to cut something off, don’t you?" I shouted, stepping closer. They quickly ran towards the gate, still laughing like maniacs. Idiots.

I went back inside the house and saw Miracle happily eating the snacks she’d been craving.

"Baby, I’m sorry. Can we make up now?" I said, hugging her from the waist.

"Cheh! Save your sorry for someone else. Dwayne, let go of me—I’m eating," she complained.

"Baby, do you want to go shopping at the mall?" I offered, hoping to appease her. She smiled at me.

"Really, hubby? We’re going to the mall?" she asked, clarifying. When she’s mad, she calls me by my name, but when she’s not, it’s "hubby." I just shook my head at her antics.

"Yes," I replied simply.

"Okay, hubby, wait for me. I’ll get changed," she said, rushing to our room.

It only took her a few minutes to come back downstairs, then she grabbed my arm, and we left for the mall.

When we arrived, many people were staring at us—or rather, at me. I could hear them squealing, saying how handsome I was. Well, I already know that.

"Hubby, let’s go to the bag section," she said, pulling me along, but I stopped.

"What are we going to do there?" I asked.

"Obviously, buy a bag," she replied sarcastically. Good point.

"Baby, can we shop for baby stuff first? You can buy your bag later," I suggested.

"But hubby, we don’t even know the baby’s gender yet," she argued.

"It’s just a head start," I said, pulling her toward the baby section.

As we walked, I overheard people whispering:

"Wow, he’s so handsome, girl."

"Who’s the woman with him?"

"Maybe his sister."

"Or maybe his cousin."

"Sh*t, he’s so hot—just let me have his baby!"

Those were just some of the things I heard. Good thing Miracle didn’t catch that last comment.

I got annoyed with their guesses about Miracle being my sister or cousin, so I glared at them.

"She’s not my sister or my cousin. She’s my wife, so stop whispering," I said loudly enough for them to hear. Everyone looked our way, then quickly apologized.

I turned back to Miracle, who was busy picking baby items. I walked over to her.

"Hubby, look at this—it’s so cute," she said, showing me a blue baby outfit. It really was adorable.

We added it to our cart, along with other items like a stroller, baby clothes, diapers, cloth diapers, wipes, pillows, and socks.

We also bought the bag Miracle wanted—it was a new release, apparently. At the counter, we paid for everything. Since all the items wouldn’t fit in the car, I arranged for them to be loaded into a truck instead.
