Miracle Faith Madrigal's POV
I woke up early because of the sunlight streaming through the window. I got up and went to the veranda to see the breathtaking view.
"Wow." I was excited to go out. I glanced at Dwayne, who was still sound asleep.
I left the room, and as I reached the stairs, I saw Sham. She was startled to see me.
"Good morning, Sham," I greeted her. She smiled at me.
"Good morning, Miracle. Where are you going?" she asked.
"Just going for a walk outside," I replied.
"Brother might look for you," she said.
"If he does, please tell him I’m just outside walking around to exercise," I explained. She nodded at me.
I headed outside, and I must admit I was amazed by the beautiful surroundings and the fresh air.
I walked for an hour before sitting on a bench to rest.
I was surprised when someone spoke behind me.
"Oh god, so you’re here. I’ve been looking for you," he said, concerned.
"Sorry, hubby. I was just enjoying the scenery—it’s so beautiful here."
"It’s okay. Let’s eat now," he said gently.
I stood up, held Dwayne’s arm, and we walked back to the house together.
When we arrived, we saw Auntie waiting for us at the dining area.
Dwayne and I sat down and started eating. After our meal, Dwayne and I strolled along the beach.
"Hubby, let’s swim," I suggested.
He turned to me. "It’s still early, baby. Later, okay?"
"Okay," I replied, and we continued walking until I got tired.
"Hubby, I’m tired," I said, stopping in my tracks.
He suddenly carried me bridal style, which surprised me, but I quickly recovered from the shock.
We went to a nearby bench and sat down. I thought he would put me down, but instead, he let me sit on his lap. I just let him be.
I leaned against his neck, feeling sleepy.
"Hubby, I’m getting sleepy," I told him.
"Just sleep for now. I’ll wake you up later, or I’ll carry you," he replied.
I fell asleep on his neck, enjoying his addictive scent.

Dwayne Lexus De Villa's POV
I let her sleep because I knew she was tired.
I wish things could always be like this—happy and problem-free.
I carried her to our room. When I entered the living room, everyone’s attention turned to me.
"What happened to her, son?" my mom asked worriedly.
"She just fell asleep," I assured her. She sighed in relief.
"I thought something happened to her," Dad chimed in.
I continued walking to our room and laid her down on the bed, observing her for a while.
I lay beside her, and she snuggled into my neck. Her vanilla scent was intoxicating. I kept smelling her neck until I fell asleep.
When I woke up, Miracle was no longer beside me.
Where could she have gone?
I got up and checked the time—it was only noon. When I went to the living room, I saw her happily chatting with Lily and Sham.
"You know, my brother Dwayne used to be grumpy, but when you came, he softened up and always smiled," Lily said, and I overheard it.
"Why is he crying in this picture?" Miracle asked curiously.
I wondered about what she was saying and saw she was holding a photo book.
"That was when we went to the park. While walking, he accidentally stepped on poop, and he cried because he was disgusted," Lily explained, laughing. Miracle laughed as well.
I approached them, and they all fell silent.
"What are you telling them now?" I asked.
"Nothing, brother," Lily stammered nervously.
