Dwayne Lexus De Villa POV

I woke up early today and was about to get up when I felt a sharp pain in my head, so I decided to lie down for a while. I saw Miracle sleeping soundly beside me and took the chance to admire her.

"You’re really beautiful, but when you’re angry, you look like a lion. Scary."

She moved and slowly opened her eyes, smiling at me.

"Good morning, my hobby," she said sweetly, then hugged me.

"Good morning, baby," I replied in a serious tone.

"Let’s go home. I have to swing by the company," I said. She quickly got up and headed to the restroom to wash her face.

I waited for her in the car because she had to say goodbye to her friends.

When I saw her approaching, I opened the car door for her.

I got in as well and started the car.

When we got home, she went inside first, and I followed. I took a shower and got dressed since I had to go to the company before we visited my mom.

"Baby, I’m leaving now. I have some work to attend to, but I’ll be home later. Please prepare our things; we’ll visit my mom later," I said.

"Okay! Bye-bye," she replied.

I left the house and headed to the company. I had a lot of paperwork to sign. I was interrupted by a call on the telephone.

"Hello, who is this?" I asked.

"Sir, there’s a woman looking for you. She’s on her way to your office," the person on the other line said.

I was about to speak when there was a knock on my office door. I ended the call and prepared to answer, but before I could, the door suddenly opened.

I was surprised to see who it was.

"Hi, babe," she said flirtatiously.

"What are you doing here?" I said coldly.

"Did you miss me?" she said as she came closer and sat on my lap.

I moved away from her and stood up.

"Could you please leave?" I said with annoyance and anger.

"Why? Don’t you want me here?" she said, walking closer and hugging me.

I moved away again. "Sofia, I have a family now," I said, trying hard not to yell at her.

"I know," she said. Before I could respond, she kissed me. I was stunned by her actions and couldn’t move.

"Sofia, what are you doing? I’m married. Stop this," I said, pushing her away.

"Leave," I ordered, but she didn’t budge.

"If you don’t want to leave, do as you please," I said, grabbing my coat and leaving. I instructed my secretary to handle the documents I needed to sign.

Sofia was my ex-girlfriend who only used me for money.

When I got home, everything was ready.

"You’re home early. I thought you’d be back this afternoon," she said.

"I finished my tasks quickly," I replied.

"Is everything ready? Are we leaving?" I asked, and she nodded with a smile.

"Let’s go," she said sweetly. I grabbed our things, and we got into the car.

It took hours of driving as the place we were going to was far.

"Rest for a while; we’re not there yet," I said. She nodded and started to sleep. It would likely be nighttime by the time we arrived.

After a few hours, Miracle woke up.

"Are we there yet?" she asked.

"Almost," I replied. The surroundings were already dark.

About an hour later, we finally arrived.

"We’re here," I said. We got out of the car, and I took our things.

We entered a large house. I could hear the sound of the waves crashing. We were at the beach, where we had our own private resort and a big house.

"Let’s go," I said. We walked inside, and the maids greeted us and took our things.

"Where’s Mom?" I asked one of the maids.

"Sir, she’s already asleep," she replied. I checked the time—it was almost 9 PM.

I called another maid and asked her to prepare food for us since I knew Miracle was hungry.

"Let’s eat so we can rest," I called her.

We ate in silence until we finished. Afterward, we headed to our room and went to sleep.
