Miracle Faith Madrigal’s POV
“Hobby, don’t get too drunk, okay?” I said with concern, watching him as he held his glass of wine.
“I’ll just drink a little, baby. Don’t worry; I won’t get drunk,” Dwayne replied with a charming smile, reassuring me.
I nodded but kept an eye on him, worried he might overdo it.
“Oh, stop it already! You two are making me feel like I’m being swarmed by ants with all this sweetness!” Percy teased, rolling his eyes dramatically.
“Then cover your eyes if it’s too much for you! You might end up going blind if you keep looking at us,” Jackson added, smirking at Percy.
Percy shot Jackson a glare.
“Here, take this pillow, Percy. Hug it so you won’t feel too lonely. Poor guy,” Mark teased, tossing a pillow at him.
Percy caught the pillow and scoffed. “Even if I’m alone, at least I’m handsome! Unlike you guys, who already look like senior citizens,” he retorted confidently, making everyone laugh.
I noticed the others’ faces change at Percy’s remark, clearly offended but trying to play it cool.
“It’s getting cold in here. The wind feels stronger now,” Andrea joked, trying to change the subject.
“Yeah, it’s like a storm is brewing,” Kathy added, laughing.
“Tsssk,” Percy muttered, shaking his head in mock annoyance.
Dwayne turned to me, his eyes softening. “Are you sleepy, baby?” he asked, brushing a strand of hair from my face.
“Not yet,” I replied, smiling at his thoughtfulness.
“Well, if you get sleepy, just let me know, okay? I’ll take care of you,” he said, his voice full of affection.
“Okay,” I replied, feeling a warmth in my chest.
They continued drinking for hours, laughter and banter filling the room. One by one, everyone started getting drunk—except Dwayne, who seemed unfazed, as if he hadn’t drunk anything at all.
“Miya, Dwayne and I are heading home now,” I said as I stood up to leave.
“It’s late! Just stay here for the night. It’s too dangerous to travel at this hour,” Miya insisted, her tone leaving no room for argument.
I hesitated, but she was adamant, so I eventually agreed.
Now, Dwayne and I were in the guest room. He wrapped his arms around me tightly, his face buried in my neck. I could feel his warm breath as he inhaled deeply, as if trying to memorize my scent.
“Why do you keep sniffing me?” I asked, laughing softly.
“Because you smell like home,” he whispered, his voice sending a shiver down my spine.
I let him hold me until sleep finally overtook me.

Someone’s POV
“What’s your plan now?” my friend asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
“What do you mean?” I replied, raising an eyebrow at her.
“Don’t act clueless. You know Dwayne is already married,” she pointed out, folding her arms.
“So what if he’s married? He only tied the knot because that woman got pregnant. It wasn’t love,” I said, my tone sharp and dismissive.
“And I know he still loves me. He always will,” I added, a smirk forming on my lips.
“So, what are you going to do about it?” she asked again, clearly intrigued.
“I’m going to take back what’s mine. I won’t let them live happily ever after while I’m left with nothing,” I declared, my voice filled with determination.
“If you hadn’t left him, you’d be the one by his side now. You’d be living the life you always dreamed of,” she said, her words hitting a nerve.
“Shut up!” I snapped, glaring at her. “I don’t need your reminders.”
She shrugged, raising her hands in mock surrender.
“Let’s just get some rest,” I said, standing up and heading to my room. It was already past midnight, and tomorrow, my plan to ruin their happiness would begin.
