Miracle Faith Madrigal’s POV

I went up to my room to sleep since I was feeling drowsy. Dwayne still wasn’t back, and I had no idea where he had gone.

I quickly fell asleep, but I woke up to someone kissing my neck and cheeks. I could also feel his hands wandering, so I opened my eyes.

“Hobby, why are you just getting back now? Where have you been?” I asked him.

“I had something important to do for the company,” he replied.

“That’s why I couldn’t update you.” I just nodded at what he said.

“Let’s go downstairs. I know you haven’t eaten yet, baby!” He helped me stand up.

“By the way, where are your parents and siblings?”

“They’re all at work. Maybe they’ll be home tonight,” he replied.

We were now in the dining room, eating in silence. Only the sound of our utensils could be heard.

After eating, we went to the living room to watch TV.

Suddenly, my phone buzzed, so I checked who messaged me. It was Laila.

“Hi, bestie! I miss you already. Sorry I couldn’t join the others. Leo had a fever,” she said in her message.

“It’s okay, there’s always a next time,” I replied.

“Oh, by the way, Miracle, Miya is coming back to the Philippines with her husband. She said we should visit their house,” Laila messaged.

“When is she arriving?” I asked.

“Tonight, and we’re visiting them tomorrow night. Also, bring Dwayne, okay?” she replied.

“I’ll ask him if he wants to come. He might be busy tomorrow,” I said.

“Oh, and guess what, bestie? Carl is back too, with his wife and kid,” she added.

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier? We could have visited them,” I replied.

“I just found out now.”

“So, all of us are going?” I asked.

“Yes, so we can all catch up. It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other. We’ve all been so busy. By the way, Andrea, Kathy, and Lala are still single. They’re the only ones without families. The rest of us, including Hannah, already have families.”

“They’ll find someone eventually. Just let them be,” I replied.

“Alright, bye for now. Let’s talk again tomorrow,” she said.

I turned off my phone and noticed Dwayne looking at me. I turned to him.

“Who were you chatting with?” he asked seriously.

“Oh, it was Laila, my friend. She said one of our friends just got back from the US,” I answered.

He nodded at me and continued watching TV.

“Hobby, do you have plans tomorrow?”

“Why?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I just shrugged and smiled at him.

“Well, I’m visiting my friend tomorrow. Maybe you’d like to come along.”

“Sorry, baby! I’m visiting a friend too who just got back from the US,” he replied.

“Okay, but I’m still going,” I said.

“That’s fine, but make sure to come home early,” he said.

“Hobby, it’s happening at night. I might come home around 9 o’clock, or maybe I’ll sleep there,” I explained.

“I’ll just pick you up,” he said. I smiled at him.

“Okay, hobby,” I said, hugging him.

Later that evening, Dwayne’s parents and siblings came back from work.

We were now eating dinner.

“How’s it been here at home, Miracle? Aren’t you bored?” Lily, Dwayne’s sister, asked.

“Not really, I’m okay here,” I replied.

“Sis, maybe you’d like to join us tomorrow at the resort we’re visiting,” Lily said.

“I already have plans with my friends tomorrow,” I replied.

“Maybe next time I’ll join,” I added.

She just nodded.

“Alright, maybe next time,” she said.

“So, it’s just the two of you here at home for the entire week,” Jaxon teased.

“Hobby, aren’t you going with them?” I asked.

“No, I’m also visiting my friends,” he replied.

After dinner, we went to our respective rooms. I took a quick shower before going to bed, and so did Dwayne.

“Good night, my hobby,” I said.

“Good night, baby,” he replied.

I fell asleep shortly after.
