Miracle Faith Madrigal’s POV
The next morning, I felt someone kissing my neck. I also felt hands wandering all over me, which made me open my eyes. I was greeted by Dwayne, who was kissing my neck.
“Dwayne, it’s too early,” I complained to him.
“Oh, you’re awake.”
“Hobby, I’m hungry.” He was surprised by what I called him but smiled at me, unlike the previous days when his face was always serious.
“What did you call me?” he asked with excitement.
Oh, here he goes again with his English.
“Are you deaf?” His smile disappeared, replaced with a serious look because of what I said.
“Hobby, I’m hungry,” I repeated, and he smiled at me again.
“Okay! Baby, what do you want to eat?” he asked gently.
“Ice cream.”
“You can’t. It’s too early,” he said, and I pouted.
“Come on, I want ice cream,” I insisted.
“Eat first.” We went downstairs to have breakfast so I could eat my ice cream afterward.
Yaya gave me a glass of milk, and she handed Dwayne a glass of juice.
“Hobby, I want juice. Let’s trade—you take the milk,” I said as I tried to grab the juice. But before I could take it, he lightly tapped my hand away.
“No, you can’t have this. Drink your milk. It’s healthy for the baby.”
“Hobby, you’re so mean! I want juice,” I insisted, but he moved it further away from me.
“No,” he said firmly and drank the juice himself.
I had no choice but to drink the milk. After finishing, I left without saying goodbye to him.
Fine! He didn’t even give me a little. I’m not talking to him.
I went straight to our room to take a shower.
After finishing my bath, I stepped out of the bathroom and saw Dwayne looking at me. I ignored him and continued walking out of the room. I even heard him call out to me.
I heard some noise coming from the living room, so I went there. I saw Percy, Mark, Yuri, and Lucas messing around. They stopped what they were doing and looked at me.
“Good morning, Miracle,” they greeted me in unison.
“Good morning,” I replied.
I decided to go to the backyard since I didn’t have anyone to talk to. I decided to call one of my friends—Hannah.
“Hello, Hannah! How are you?” I asked.
“Hi, Miracle. What’s up?” she replied.
“Hannah, aren’t you busy today?”
“Not really, why?” she asked.
“If you’re not busy, can you come over to my house? I have no one to talk to, and I’m so bored,” I said.
“Alright, I’ll come. Wait for me,” she said.
“Call Kathy too,” I added.
“Okay, bye!” she said before ending the call.
I went back to the living room, but no one was there—not even Dwayne. So it seems I’ll have the house to myself for a while.
Where could they have gone? They didn’t even tell me.
After a few minutes, the doorbell rang.
“Ahh, Manang, I’ll get it,” I told the housemaid.
I went to the gate and opened it, seeing them standing there.
“Miracle, I missed you!” Hannah squealed and hugged me tightly.
“H-Hannah, I can’t breathe,” I said, struggling.
“Oh, sorry! I just missed you so much,” she said, stepping back.
“Hi, Miracle,” Kathy and the others greeted, hugging me one by one.
“Let’s go inside. It’s so hot out here,” I said, and they followed me in.
“Wow, your mansion is so huge! It’s even bigger than ours,” Lala said in awe.
By the way, I haven’t seen Mom, Lily, Jaxon, or Tita Ava around.
“Have a seat,” I told them.
“Are you the only one home? It seems like you’re alone here,” Andrea asked.
“I don’t know where they are,” I answered.
“Maybe they’re busy with work. You know they’re the most famous businesspeople around,” I added.
“True,” Andrea agreed.
“Why isn’t Laila with you anymore?” I asked.
“She’s looking after Leo’s baby. The baby has a fever,” Andrea explained, and I just nodded.
We chatted for hours until they decided to leave, promising to visit again soon.
Where could my hobby be? Why hasn’t he come back yet?
Ugh, I won’t talk to you, Dwayne. Imagine, he didn’t even tell me where he was going, and he hasn’t even apologized yet.
What can I expect? He probably doesn’t even know how to apologize.
