Miracle Faith Madrigal POV

I caught Michael with mango and ketchup. He grimaced, clearly disgusted by the mango with ketchup.

"No thanks, Sis, I'm already full," he said. I suddenly felt like crying. I didn’t know why I was acting this way. Ever since I got pregnant, whenever something didn’t go my way, I felt like crying, always sleepy, and annoyed if my wishes weren’t followed.

"Come on, eat it," I said, tears streaming down my face.

He had no choice but to eat it. I smiled when he ate it, but I could see the disgust on both his and Dwayne's faces as they chewed reluctantly.

"Miracle, I’ll take you to my house later. Mom wants to meet you," Dwayne said, and I turned to him. I smiled and nodded.

We were on our way to their mansion now, and we were both silent.

"Dwayne, let’s stop by 7-Eleven. I need to buy something," I broke the silence.

"Okay," he replied briefly.

As soon as the car stopped in front of 7-Eleven, I quickly got out and went inside. I looked around at the chocolates and picked one. I bought a bag of Nips.

When I returned to the car, I saw him leaning against it, waiting for me.

I caught his attention, so he opened the car door for me before getting in himself.

"Let’s go," I said cheerfully.

"What did you buy?" he asked.

"Nips! I was craving these," I replied, and he just nodded.

We arrived at their mansion. I was amazed by how beautiful and massive it was.

"Woah," I said.

I heard him laugh softly, so I frowned and looked at him.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked.

"That's all. You’re just too cute," he said. I blushed at his words and lightly slapped his arm.

"Whatever," I replied playfully.

"Let’s go. They might be waiting for us inside," he said, already walking ahead.

I followed him inside. As we entered, we were greeted by his cheerful family chatting with each other.

"Mom, we’re here now," he announced to his family.

They welcomed us with smiles, so I smiled back to avoid any comments.

Their house was much bigger than ours and their wealth was evident.

"Hi, dear, are you Miracle Faith Madrigal?" one of the women asked me.

"Yes," I replied politely.

"You’re so beautiful," said the man, who I assumed was Dwayne’s dad since they looked alike.

"Thank you," I said shyly.

Who wouldn’t feel shy with the whole family surrounding me? I wished the ground would swallow me whole. I was so embarrassed.

"Take a seat," Dwayne’s dad offered.

We were seated now, and I observed them chatting.

"When are you planning to get married?" Dwayne’s mom asked just as I was drinking water. I ended up spitting it out.

"Are you okay, dear?" they asked, worried. I forced a smile.

"I’m fine, don’t worry about me," I said calmly.

I glanced at Dwayne and saw him suppressing his laughter. What’s so funny? Ugh, this guy is annoying.

"Mom, we’re getting married next week or maybe even tomorrow," he said teasingly, even winking at me. I got annoyed and stepped on his foot. I forgot I was wearing heels. Hopefully, I didn’t hurt his toes too much.

"Are you okay? What’s going on there?" his mom asked.

"I’m o-okay, Mom," he replied, struggling to speak because of the pain.

"When are you really planning to get married?" his mom asked again. I was about to say that I wasn’t ready yet, but he beat me to it.

"Tomorrow, Mom," he said quickly, making me glare at him.

"Alright, we’ll prepare everything for your wedding party! This won’t take long. I’ll also take care of your outfit. I’ll talk to everyone helping with the preparations so everything will be ready by tomorrow," his mom said enthusiastically.

"Uh, maybe we can just get married at the mayor’s office for now. We can have a grand wedding later. I’m not ready for that yet," I said softly, knowing they heard me.

"Mom, let’s just get married at the mayor’s office for now," Dwayne agreed with me.

"Alright, it’s up to you," his dad said.
