Chapter 2

"Come on Taebear..Just a few more bites" Jiwon said and Taehyung shook his head slowly

"okay then...Now..Take this medicine..hmm?" Jiwon said taking the medicine from the tray.

"Nana... Please...i don't want to take it...i" He said, looking at her with teary eyes.

"Sweetie, you have to take the medicine. If you don't, your father will be angry and...and he might punish you again." She said gently.

"I don't want-"

" If you don't take this,he might punish me too...do you want that?"

"N-No...." Jiwon smiled slightly, hearing that from her bear.

"baby....this medicine will help you feel better and calm your mind. And I'll be right here with you, okay?...."

Taehyung nods slightly.

"O-okay...I'll take it." He mumbled as tears gathered in his eyes.

"Take it and rest now...I'll be right here beside you." She said as she hands him the medicine and the water.

Taehyung took the medicine and looked up at Jiwon with tears in his eyes. Jiwon gently caressed his hairs and made him lay down on the bed. She covered him with the soft blanket.

"Just rest now, okay?" She said, gently caressing his silky hair.

Taehyung nodded, feeling the effects of the medicine.

"Nana...I feel...s-sleepy..." He mumbled.

"Sleep tight, my bear.... I'll be here when you wake up."

Jiwon said with a gentle smile and stroked his hair.

Jiwon's eyes welled up with tears as she watched Taehyung drift off to Sleep ,her gaze fell upon the tears that lingered on his cheeks. Her heart clenched as if the tears were her own.

She is the one who literally raised him , pouring all her love into his life. Though fate had denied her the blessing of children, Taehyung had brought light and laughter into her world, filling the void in her heart.

Seeing him suffer now is too much to bear. Yet, like everyone else, she felt helpless, unable to shield him from this pain.

She took out a key from the tray.

And her gaze drifted to Taehyung's hands, his one hand clenched in a fist, even in sleep.

Her gaze drifted to the other hand, his wrist, red and bruised from the cuff.

She gently unlocked the cuffs ,her gentle fingers cradled Taehyung's wrist, her touch soft as a feather.

She examined the bruised skin and began to treat the wound.

She applied an ointment and wrapped a soft bandage around his wrist. Her teary eyes fell on Taehyung's innocent face.

"I'm s-sorry..." She whispered, kissing on his hand.

"Eomma.... do I really have to go?" Jungkook asked, approaching his mother.

"Hmm... you don't want to go?.... Is something going on between you and Taehyung-ie?" she asked, frowning.

"Tell me, bun, what's bothering you?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern as she gazed at Jungkook.

Jungkook shrugged, trying to brush off her worries.

"Nothing's going on, Eomma... I'm just tired," he replied as he settled into the sofa, his eyes drifting towards the clock on the wall. "When's the flight?"

Just then, his father spoke up, his voice stern.

"You should stop hanging out with that Namjoon, Jungkook. He's a bad influence," he said, his words dripping with disapproval as he sat down beside his son.

"He was drunk that day, Appa... he-" Jungkook tried to explain, but his father's expression only grew darker.

"Whatever," his father cut him off, his face stern.

Jungkook let out a defeated sigh.

Jungkook reached out and playfully ruffled his father's hair, a mischievous glint dancing in his eyes.

He nudged his father's arm with his elbow, trying to coax a smile out of him.

"What's with the long face, Mr. Jeon?" Jungkook asked, his voice dripping with amusement.

His eyes sparkled with mischief as he continued, "Want to play Overwatch with me?!"

The sudden change in subject was just what was needed to lift the gloom.

Mr. Jeon's stern expression faltered, suddenly lit up with a warm smile.

"Overwatch, you say?" Mr. Jeon repeated, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You think you can take me down, huh?"

He stood up, his movements swift and Jungkook couldn't help but laugh at the sudden transformation.

"Be ready to lose, son" his father let out a chuckle.

Mrs. Jeon rolled her eyes, shaking her head at their banter.

"You two have fun, but don't stay up too late.... You have an early flight tomorrow, Jungkook." She said, walking towards her room.

The room was dimly lit, with only the glow of the screen illuminating their faces.

As they played, their conversation peppered with laughter and playful jabs.

The room filled with the sound of teasing, laughter and their banter.

Mr.Jeon may be a strict CEO for outsiders ,but at home, he is a loving and playful father for Jungkook and Jin....and a loving husband for Mrs.jeon.

For Jungkook, his family is his safe haven, a place where he can be himself.

Jungkook sat on his bed, gazing out. The city lights twinkled like stars in the night sky. Rain drops trickled down the glass window.

Rain always reminds him of someone... someone who loved the rain. He closed his eyes as his mind wandered to a memory.

Taehyung's eyes widened with excitement as he gazed out the window, his nose pressed against the glass.

"Kookie hyung, Kookie hyung! ...It's going to rain!" The five year old Taehyung squealed

Jungkook, who was busy drawing a picture of the younger looked up and smiled. "Really?"

Taehyung nodded vigorously, his eyes shining with excitement. "Yes, yes! The clouds are dark and the wind is blowing! ...It's going to be a big rain!"

Jungkook chuckled and got up from his seat, walking over to the window to join Taehyung. Together, they gazed out at the sky, watching as the clouds grew darker and the wind picked up.

Taehyung bounced up and down in excitement as the rain poured down outside. "Can we go out and play in the rain, Kookie hyung? Please? Please?"

Before Jungkook could reply, little Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's hand, pulling him towards the door. "Come on, Kookie hyung! Let's go play in the rain!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.

The rain poured down around them, soaking them to the bone, but they didn't care. They were too busy having the time of their lives, dancing and playing in the rain.

Taehyung squealed with delight as he stomped in the puddles, sending water flying everywhere.

Jungkook laughed together they danced and splashed in the rain.

But in his excitement, Taehyung lost his balance and fell into a deep puddle.

Little Taehyung's face scrunched up in distress as he sat in the puddle, his tiny body shaking with sobs. "Kookie hyung...I fell down..." The little boy wailed, his voice trembling.

Jungkook rushed to his side, concern etched on his face. "Taetae, it's okay! I've got you!" he exclaimed, pulling Taehyung into a tight hug.

Taehyung buried his face in Jungkook's chest, his sobs slowly subsiding. Jungkook stroked his hair, whispering softly to calm him down.

"You're okay, Tae...I won't let anything bad happen to you, I promise," Jungkook said.

Taehyung looked up at Jungkook, his eyes red-rimmed from crying. "Really?" he asked, looking at Jungkook.

Jungkook nodded, his eyes shining with a warm smile.

" I'll always be here to protect you. No matter what happens, I'll be here to catch you when you fall, taetae" Jungkook said, hugging the younger.

Taehyung looked up at Jungkook with puppy eyes. "Pinky promise?" he asked, holding out his little finger.

Jungkook smiled and wrapped his pinky finger around Taehyung's. "Pinky promise!" he replied, smiling.

Taehyung's face brightened, and he wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck.

"I love you, hyungie" Taehyung whispered, his voice filled with adoration.

Jungkook's heart swelled with love and protectiveness towards him.

"I love you too, Taetae" he replied, hugging Taehyung tightly.

Jungkook opened his eyes and his hand instinctively reached for his phone on the night stand , scrolling through it until his fingers paused on a photo.

Jungkook's eyes filled with tears as his heart swelled with emotions. He let out a sad sigh, remembering the last words Taehyung said to him .

"I hate you, Hyung"

The words echoed through his mind like a haunting memory, bringing back the pain of that day.

Jungkook closed his eyes, the memory of Taehyung's angry face and sad eyes etched vividly in his mind.

"I hate you too, kim Taehyung " he whispered ,opening his eyes.

Fu*king lie..

Another sleepless night stretched before Jungkook, filled with the memories of him and Taehyung.

He tried to hate him...he tried everything to forget him.

But nothing could erase the innocent face of the beautiful boy who is still living in Jungkook's heart.

He remembered the way Taehyung's eyes sparkled when he laughed, the way his silky hair dance with the breeze, and the way his smile could light up an entire village.

As the darkness of the night closed in around him, Jungkook felt his heart ache with longing.

He missed him, missed the way things used to be between them.

Jungkook's voice was barely audible as he whispered the words to himself, a futile attempt to convince his own heart.

"I hate you..........Kim Taehyung."
