The beginning

"Yuzu, wake up!

Do you wanna be late again? "

"I'm awake!"

I screamed breathlessly right after opening my eyes.

"Oh... just another dream of mom..."

I sat on the bed running my hands through my hair. I turned left only to see my digital clock displaying;

'5AM'

"Another day... " I mumbled before getting out of the bed and heading towards the bathroom.

I did the morning routine like talking shower, brushing my teeth, washing my face and applying various skincare products. After doing that, I made myself a cup of coffee.

I took the cup of steamy coffee to my bedroom and placed it on the nightstand. I went near the window to draw the curtains to let the morning sunlight enter my room. I stared outside the window for few minutes thinking about the how quite the street is in the morning.

I, then picked up my android phone which was laying on my bed, to check any updates for the day.

"What!!! Why's there so many messages... "

I stared at the screen for few moments before going through the messages one-by-one.

The first message read;

"Happy 18th birthday my dear daughter"

It was from my mother.

"Ohh... Today's my birthday, I forgot. How did I even forget about my special day.. "

I chuckled.

The rest of the message was from my dad, brother and my friends, wishing my birthday.

But the final message was from my boyfriend.

It read;

"Happy 18th birthday my dear Yuzu. Meet me at our favorite place, I have something for you. And don't keep me waiting for too long darling"

I replied to his text saying,

"I'll be there in few moments"

"Our favorite place... " I echoed. Placing my phone back on the bed, I started to get changed into a comfortable black baggy outfit with a black sneaker shoe.

I locked the door of the house and went to 'Our favorite place'. It was a twenty minutes walk to reach 'Our favorite place', I have to go through the street to reach that place. Finally I reached 'Our favorite place'. It's far from the the noisy street, a place surrounded by cherry blossom trees, where no outsider can really see, and a brown painted bench which still stands facing the beautiful view of the forest.

I looked around before laying my eyes on a man standing in a black pant and a white collar shirt whose back was turned to me. He was facing the view of the beautiful forest, enjoying every second of it.

Suddenly the man turned to me, his gaze meeting mine.

'Those beautiful green eyes, which was still the same, which never lied, which was always comforting in any kinds of situation...'

The man was my boyfriend who was waiting for me to come.

"Yuzu, finally... "

he exclaimed, his voice deep as always, and then smiled at me.

The very cute smile, which only I get to see and the comforting one.

"Lucas.... "

I whispered his name
