Melanie's POV

I was so scared because his angry voice could cut deep into your inner soul and those red eyes were engulfing me in their darkness.

"Sorry " I said stammering. "Just be careful of how you address me " He replied with that terrifying voice. "Please I just want to go home" I pleaded.

Knock Knock. " Mr Lonan please we beg you let's see our daughter"Andry said outside.

"Come in " He replied. Then the door knob was turned and I saw my father and mother rum inside rushing towards me and embracing me in a big bear hug.

"Mel we are so sorry how are you, are you hurt" Andry said rolling me in a three sixty degree checking my body. " Mom dad how could you use me as a bait in a contract, how. Could you" I said in anger and in disappointment. "Mel we are so sorry we didn't expect this" Thompson said to me. I looked at the red eyed man as he looked at us like he was watching an opera. " Butterberry you know how much we love you please forgive us" Andry said. "Okay I will forgive both of you only if you make sure to annul that contract because I can't live with him" I said. "Mel we are sorry but we can't annul the contract it's a death contract". Thompson said. I was stunned , why would they sign the contract if it was a death contract. So I would live with the red eyed stranger for how long?.

I looked at both of my parents like they were fools because I felt like they were really fools. How would they sign a death contract.

" Why would you guys agree to sell me to a man who would kill you, if you breach the contract and you both still breached the contract" I said giving them a complicated look. " Mel we believed even if we did die you are there to take over everything and we did all this for you, our company was really going down the drain. We are so sorry we didn't think this through" Thompson said. " Do you guys want to make me an orphan?"I asked in hurt and bitterness. " Silence!" The red eyed stranger suddenly said. I was terrified by the sudden warning. My parents and I snapped our heads towards him and shut our mouths.

"Mr Lonan can we please sort this out" My father, Thompson said. "Okay, ten minutes"he answered. "So Mel you have to stay with Me Lonan for six months, and after six months the contract is null. You are free, it is just six months" Thompson said so nonchalantly like it was easy. " Six months!!!" I retorted amazed.

"That's half a year with a stranger" I said in anger and exclamation. I was going to stay six months with this stranger. This red eyed man. I couldn't believe it. " Mel you will be fine , he won't hurt you it's in the contract" Andry said trying to comfort and assure me.

" Mother, Mrs Andry Tate you want me to live with a red eyed stranger for half a year". I said carelessly. "Watch your mouth" he scolded me. My parents and I were trembling due to the effects of his terrifying majestic voice. "Mel we love you bye" both my parents said and left. I just looked mouth wide opened at the door through which they left. I turned and looked at the man seated on the couch. His eyes and mine met and I immediately averted my gaze.His eyes glowed like blood, they showed danger and gave out vibes that would make you run away from him. The aura emanating from his body intimidating and suffocating. " So welcome to your new home, Melanie , follow me to your room" he said. "What are you saying" I asked in anger.

"Officially, my name is Michael Lonan, welcome to your new home"he said. I looked at him in amazement. I thought he was just an arrogant speaking jerk. So he could speak like a normal human. I almost thought he wasn't so bad but I couldn't rule out the fact that he kidnapped me.

"Hello mister Michael I was not invited here but forcefully brought here from my wedding" I said to him with boldness. My boldness would probably get me in trouble one day, I thought to myself. " Were you happy getting married today , if you think carefully I actually saved from living a loveless life" he said arrogantly. He was making some sense, I didn't care. I just wanted to go home. But I knew that the earlier I accepted that I wasn't living here until after 6 months the better it would be for me. " Whatever" I said nonchalantly. "Anyways just follow me " he said and stood up walking upstairs. I looked at his broad back and hissed, I just followed out of curiosity to see the room he prepared for me. After we got to a place upstairs he opened the door and I was dumbstruck by the breathtaking view. It was so big and beautifully decorated and arranged.There was different clothes and a closet. Over to the left was a big rack filled with heels and shoes of different types and brands , channel, Dior, Celine, Burberry. It was as if he was preparing for my arrival ages ago. I spotted some rarely seen brand of shoes that were highly sought after in the fashion world. I looked at him and looked at the room. He was looking at me in expectation of what I would say.By the right there was silvery door it was the bathroom of course. Then in another corner stood a huge mirror with different skincare products neatly arranged on the huge marble high shelf. Though my room back home was beautiful, it was nothing compared to these. This suited my taste in every way. I wanted to thank him but I was just so surprised I could not say a thing. I looked at him, is he really not that bad. " Got anything to say?" he asked as he folded his hands and looked intently at him. "It is beautiful" I said.
