MOONLIGHT

While Alice and the old man were taking care of Kagumi.

We just stared at the moon while lying on the grass, watching and thinking about what happened tonight—a night full of laughter, teasing, and tragedy.

"Why does the moon continue to shine even though it knows people are already asleep at this early hour?" Dave asked while lying next to us on the grass while staring at the moon.

"What kind of question is that, like a child?" Hikaru replied.

"Ahahaha," we just laughed at the little things.

"The moon provides light because it wants to illuminate the dark night; it wants to show you the path you are walking on."

"That's how the moon is". They quietly listened to what I said while staring at the moon.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the monster began to rise, slowly following the drops of Kagumi's blood on the paths we had taken.

"Kagumi asked earlier if we would all survive. I said yes, but even I am not sure if we will survive,"

Hikaru said while looking at the moon.

"We'll survive, I'm sure of it". I held her cold hand and said to her.

and then; we heard a loud monster's growl from a distance.

We stood up, and Alice, the old man, and Kagumi were hiding behind the tree because Kagumi no longer had the strength to fight.

"It looks like he's getting closer!" I shouted while carrying a big piece of wood.

While Dave was carrying the metal pipe he used earlier.

We're just waiting for the monster to attack, because we will fight.

BECAUSE WE WANT TO LIVE!

We waited for a few minutes until the monster finally appeared; he's just staring at us from the side of the big tree.

Until it quickly attacked us and I hit it with the wood I was carrying.

The sound of metal clashing was clearly heard due to the silence around us while others watched us fighting the monster.

Dave hit the monster in the head, but it didn't budge; its movements became faster compared to before, and its attacks became even stronger.

"Yasu! It seems like none of our attacks have any effect on him!" Dave shouted at me while he was still fighting the monster.

"I think it's because of the moonlight". I shouted back at him.

When Dave stretched out the metal pipe he was carrying, the monster swung its sharp claws, hitting Dave deeply, causing him to fall.

When Dave fell, the monster looked at me and charged quickly, and with its incredible speed, I couldn't avoid its attack. I only saw the monster's hand pierce my heart.

As my vision slowly faded.

I only heard Hikaru's shout.

"Yasu!"

I fell onto the grass as my eyes slowly closed.

Is this the end for me? I saw a light coming from my mind and a voice that seemed to be calling! Here we go again. I've been hearing this voice for a long time.

He's saying, "Alpha Omega", "wake up!" a shout of a voice unfamiliar to my mind.

[PHASE TWO] FLASHBACK

After the crazy scientist completed his experiment Project-X, he seemed unsatisfied and conducted another experiment.

But it surpasses the capabilities of Project X, which has a combination of wolf cells, gorilla strength, cheetah speed, and bull toughness.

After the scientist did it, he took Project X and injected it into himself. But he didn't know that he couldn't control Project X, so he transformed into a terrifying monster.

Because he no longer has control over himself, a monster is now controlling his body.

Because of hunger, the monster roared loudly and then left the house.

and he didn't get to use his newly made experiment.

Because of that, a series of killings happened.

A wandering child saw a small wooden house in the middle of the forest, went to the front of the house, and shouted,

"Is anyone home?" "Is there anyone here?" shouted the boy with pale lips, due to thirst and hunger.

Because of the child's stomach ache, he went inside the house.

When he opened the door, he was greeted by old, dusty rooms filled with animal remains and spider webs, and if you think about it, it seemed like no one lived there anymore because the house was no longer being maintained.

Because of hunger, he didn't pay attention to them anymore, quickly took them, and even though they were raw, he ate them out of hunger.

Because of thirst, he drank the blue water at the top contained in the bottle.

There is still a piece of paper stuck here, covered in dust, with the words ALPHA-OMEGA written on it.

The child drank this out of thirst, unaware of what he was doing.

After he drank it, his vision slowly faded and he collapsed.

After a few hours, when the child regained consciousness, he slowly stood up, and you could clearly see the exhaustion on his face.

The child left the house and walked without knowing where he was going while feeling weak. As he exited the forest, he fell and lost consciousness.

Just in time, a couple passed by in their vehicle and saw what happened to the child.

The man stopped the car in front of the unconscious child, and the man's wife quickly got out, carried the child, and put him in the car.

While the boy sat unconscious in the back.

"I remember our deceased child in him, right, Albert"., said the woman looking at the child in the back of the car.

"That kid looks like he's just wandering around." Albert said while driving.

"What if we adopt him?, Albert" said the woman looking at Albert.

When the child's eyes slowly opened, "Albert! He was awake", the woman said to her husband while tapping him on the shoulder.

"Oh right, what kid, what's your name?" Albert asked.

"Ahhh, I don't know". The child's voice from the back, still tired while sitting.

"Where are you from?" The woman's question to the child while looking at him.

"I don't know," said the child in a soft voice.

"Do you have a family?" Albert said while looking at the road.

"What is a family?" The child asked in a soft voice.

The couple looked at each other, then both looked at the child.

"Ahhh, are you sure you don't know your name?" said the woman looking at the child.

"I can't remember anymore". said the child to them in a soft voice with closed eyes.

"Ahhh, we'll just give you a name."

"We will call you Yasu", the name of our deceased child.

"From now on, your name will be Yasu".

Albert said while turning the vehicle.
