Emily followed Ryan to a small café on the outskirts of town. They had been walking for hours, and Emily was starting to feel the effects of the long day.

"I see," she said finally. "And you think this note might be connected to the project?"

Ryan nodded. "I do. The project was top-secret, and only a handful of people knew about it."

Samantha's eyes met Ryan's, and Emily could sense the tension building between them.

"I think I can help you," Samantha said finally. "But I need to know more about the project."

Ryan hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal.

"I'll tell you what I can," he said finally. "But you have to promise to keep it confidential."

Samantha nodded, her eyes locked on Ryan's.

"I promise," she said.
