"what is this?"

The picnic had come to an end, and everyone was heading back to the bus. The atmosphere was lighter, with everyone still chatting and laughing, but Jungkook felt a growing tension in the air. Something had been bugging him ever since he’d seen Taehyung and Yuna talking. It wasn’t a big deal, or at least it shouldn’t have been, but Jungkook couldn’t shake off the feeling.

He’d always been fine with Taehyung talking to anyone, but seeing him with Yuna was different. They were laughing together, and Jungkook couldn’t deny the jealousy that started creeping up on him. He didn’t understand why it bothered him so much, but there it was.

Taehyung, noticing how off Jungkook seemed, decided it was time to address it. He wasn’t the type to let things slide, especially when it came to Jungkook. So, he casually walked up to him, then grabbed his waist, pulling him gently out of the group and into a quieter corner away from the others.

Jungkook was surprised by the sudden contact but didn’t resist. "What’s up?" Taehyung asked, his voice low, teasing, but with a hint of concern. He could tell something was off.

Jungkook, trying to brush it off, shrugged and looked away. "Nothing. Just tired," he mumbled, but Taehyung wasn’t convinced.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, giving him a knowing look. "Really? You sure?" His voice dropped to a more serious tone, but his hand stayed on Jungkook’s waist, keeping him in place.

Jungkook sighed, but there was no denying the frustration that bubbled in his chest. "It’s just... you and Yuna," he muttered, not looking Taehyung in the eye.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing wider. "What about me and Yuna?"

Jungkook swallowed, trying to act like it didn’t bother him. "Nothing," he said quickly, but his voice gave him away. There was no mistaking it—he was jealous, and it was obvious.

Taehyung, amused by the admission, leaned in closer, his face just inches from Jungkook’s. "Ah, I see," he said softly, a teasing grin playing at the corner of his lips. "You jealous?"

Jungkook froze, his heart skipping a beat at the proximity, but he quickly forced a smirk. "I’m not jealous," he said, trying to play it off, but his voice betrayed him.

Taehyung chuckled, leaning back slightly but still holding his gaze. "Sure you’re not," he said with a wink. "You know, you’re pretty cute when you’re all flustered."

Jungkook’s face flushed, and he stepped back, his usual confidence slipping for a moment. "Whatever," he muttered, turning away as if to hide his embarrassment.

Taehyung smiled to himself, enjoying the playful tension between them. "Don’t worry, Kook. I won’t bite," he teased, but deep down, he felt a surge of something else. Something more than just teasing.

Jungkook walked away quickly, still trying to act like it didn’t bother him, but his flushed face and awkward gait said otherwise. Taehyung watched him go, a small smirk still on his face.

There was something shifting between them, and Taehyung couldn’t help but feel intrigued by it. Jungkook wasn’t ready to admit it, but Taehyung could sense that this was just the beginning of something more. Something neither of them had expected.
