continuation...
The tension in the room was rising fast. While Taehyung and Jungkook stood face to face, their fists clenched, ready for another round, Jimin and Yoongi’s argument continued, growing louder with each word.
“Why can’t you just let go for once?” Jimin shot back, his playful demeanor slipping into something sharper.
“Not everything needs to be so serious all the time. What’s the point in always holding yourself back?”
Yoongi crossed his arms, his expression hardening.
“And what do you know about holding back? You’re too busy pretending everything’s fine. You think I don’t see through it?” Jimin’s eyes narrowed, and for a moment, he looked like he might snap back with something biting. But instead, he turned his back, shaking his head.
“Whatever, Yoongi. Do whatever you want. You’ve always got your own way of doing things.” . The tension between them was a bit deeper, more complicated than either of them was willing to admit.
Meanwhile, Taehyung, was glaring at Jungkook. He had never been hit like that before—not by someone so young, someone so seemingly quiet. But there was something about the way Jungkook stood there, unflinching, that made him question himself.
“You’re a real piece of work,” Taehyung muttered, though the anger in his voice had lessened. He wasn’t going to back down, but something had shifted. Jungkook smirked, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“Takes one to know one, doesn’t it?” His voice was low, cool—like he didn’t even care that he’d just punched someone.
For a few seconds, the two stood, staring at each other, the atmosphere thick with unspoken words. It felt like something had cracked open between them, but neither of them knew what to make of it. A voice broke through the silence. “Are you two done being idiots?”
It was Jimin, stepping between the two, his arms raised.
“We’re at a party, not in some fighting ring.” Taehyung and Jungkook glanced at him, their expressions guarded. Taehyung scoffed, muttering something under his breath, while Jungkook just shrugged, his gaze moving past Jimin. Yoongi, who had been watching the scene unfold from the edge of the room, finally spoke up.
“You two need to calm down,” he said, his voice cold and sharp. He was still irritated with Jimin, but this was a different matter entirely. Jimin shot him a look.
“You’re one to talk, Yoongi. Maybe you should stop acting like you’ve got everything under control. It’s getting old.” But before Yoongi could retort, Jimin turned back to the two younger boys.
“Look, you’re not going to solve anything by punching each other’s faces ” he said, his tone a little less harsh than before.
“We’re here to have fun. If you can’t handle that, then leave.” The words seemed to hang in the air, and for a moment, everyone stood in an uneasy silence. The music seemed louder now, almost mocking them, but no one moved. And then, without another word, Jimin turned and walked off, his back straight, eyes set on something else—anything else. He didn’t look back. Taehyung watched him go, his jaw tightening, before looking back at Jungkook.
“You’re lucky I don’t hit you back,” he muttered, turning away.
Jungkook didn’t say a word. He didn’t care about the fight anymore. The night felt heavier now, filled with a strange unease. It wasn’t just the tension between him and Taehyung—it was everything. The lingering hostility with Yoongi, the distance between him and Jimin, the sense that things were shifting, but no one knew how to handle it. As the night wore on, the party continued, but for Taehyung, Yoongi, Jungkook, and Jimin...
it wasn’t about fun anymore. It was about something deeper-something unspoken that tugged at them, something none of them were ready to face.
For now, they could pretend everything was fine, but deep down, they all knew the truth: nothing would ever be the same again.
