They forget me

Today is the first day of summer vacation . I woke up from bed getting the alarm . I switched it off and ran to downstairs . Granny was sitting on the couch piling the beans .

" Granny when will they gonna come " I said all excitedly .

" Hahaha .. you are all excited to meet them .. my little Faith "

" Yes .. last summer they didn't came to visit us . I spend it all alone " I said pouting my lips .

" Hope they'll come soon "granny replied and I nodded. I sat beside granny resting my head on her shoulder .

Every summer my family and uncle Abel's family visits us . That's the best time for me because those few days I get to spend my days with my brothers , Emily and Ewan , uncle Abel's children . We spend the whole summer with lots of fun... Me , Emily , Blake (my friend) , Noah , Nick and Ewan . We go for fishing , horse riding and also to the forest . Well we used to go because since last 3 years only Nick , Emily and Noah came to visit but Ewan , he didn't came . And Blake was in Australia for his study .

I live in a small town Perry with my granny . Perry is a very beautiful place .. though this doesn't provides you all the luxurious facilities like big cities can but it is a beautiful place and I love this so much .

My dad and my aunt who is my mom's sister and also the wife of my dad lives in the city. I also have two brothers Nick and Noah . I never saw my mom . Granny told me she died during giving me birth .My dad also turned his face from me . I never get the love of my dad and not to mention my mom . I don't know how it is to be loved by a mother . I believe if she was alive she would never abandoned me like dad did. Though I never blamed dad for this.. I was the reason he lost her wife . I love my granny the most . She is the person to whom I can be myself .. I can ask everything without any guilt .

When I was a kid I used to plead to live with my dad and brothers in the city . Here I was so alone . but he told me that my granny needs me and I can't stay with them .Here I had only one friend Blake who is now in Australia for his study. I remember I cried alot when he left me . He promised he will return soon but it's been 4 years now . Sigh ! Everyone breaks their promises ... My mom left me then my dad abandoned me then Blake and now Ewan he is also turning his back .

" Granny do you think Ewan will come this time ?" I asked granny .

" Yes sweetie he will "

" I don't think so . I think Ewan doesn't like to come here anymore that's why he didn't visited us last 3 years "

" No dear .. may be he was busy with his study and you know he also joined business "

" May be .. "

From childhood I always liked Ewan . He is 4 years older than me . When Nick and Noah used to bully me and Emily he always supported us . Emily is also at my age .

I remember one summer we all went to the lake for fishing . Nick and Noah played a prank on me . They throw a fake snake on me and in fear I accidentally fell in the lake . I didn't knew swimming . But Ewan jumped into the lake and saved me . I lost consciousness and when I woke up I was in bed . Emily told me that Ewan gave me mouth to mouth . My face reddened just thinking about it .

Emily knows that I always have a crush on him and she always supported that .

But last 3 summer he didn't visited at all . When I asked Emily why he didn't came with them she told me that he is busy .

What's so importent than us ?

I wait for the whole day but they didn't came . It was evening and I was seating on my balcony watching the sunset with a sad face ." I think this year none of them gonna come . They forget me " . A tear dropped from my eyes and I wiped it away .

I don't know when granny came and sat beside me .

" What happened Faith ? "

" Granny they forget me .. "

" No baby .. may be something happened "

" No .. granny .."

" Leave them .. I have made apple pie "

" I don't want to eat it " I said . Though pie is my favorite .. I didn't had the mood to eat it .

" Awe .. I made it with so much love .. only for you ." She said and I felt bad .

" Sorry granny .. let's go and eat " I said with a small smile .

I was seating on the living room and enjoying the pie . Suddenly the lane phone ringed and Granny picked it up .
