Violet's eyes locked onto Killian's, her mind racing with the implications. Incomplete memories? What did that even mean? "Explain," she demanded, her voice firm.
Killian's expression softened, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You don't remember everything, Violet. There are gaps in your past."
Violet's thoughts stuttered. Gaps? What gaps? Suddenly, Killian's face blurred, replaced by fragmented images. A luxurious penthouse, champagne toasts, and whispered promises. Killian's face, inches from hers, his lips brushing against her skin.
Memories flooded back, and Violet's cheeks flushed. She had slept with Killian, the powerful mafia boss.
"Violet," Killian said, his voice low and husky. "We need to discuss our arrangement."
Arrangement? Violet's mind reeled.
Alessandro stepped forward, handing Killian a folder. "The contract, sir."
Killian opened the folder, revealing a document with Violet's name on it.
"This is the marriage contract," Killian explained, his eyes locked onto hers. "You agreed to marry me, Violet. You're mine now."
Violet's world crashed. Marriage? Contract? She felt trapped.
"I...I don't remember," she stammered.
Killian's expression turned cold. "That's convenient. But the fact remains, Violet. You're mine. And soon, you'll be my wife."
Alessandro's eyes seemed to bore into her soul. "Sign the contract, Violet. It's the only way to ensure your safety."
Violet's heart sank. Trapped between the mafia's grasp and her fragmented memories, she had no choice.
Killian's gaze held her captive, his eyes burning with intensity. "You'll learn to obey me, Violet. You'll learn to love me."
Violet's skin crawled. Love? Obey? She felt a surge of defiance.
But Alessandro's warning glance silenced her.
The contract lay before her, a tangible reminder of her predicament.
Killian's voice dropped to a whisper. "Sign it, Violet. Seal your fate."
Violet's hand trembled, hovering over the contract.
The silence stretched out, heavy with anticipation.
Killian's eyes never left hers, his gaze piercing her very soul.
Alessandro's presence loomed, a constant reminder of the danger that lurked outside.
Violet's heart pounded, her thoughts racing with the consequences.
Would she sign?
Would she submit?
Or would she fight?
The outcome hung precariously in the balance.
Violet's hand trembled, hovering over the contract. The paper seemed to glow with an ominous light, sealing her fate.
Killian's voice dropped to a whisper. "Sign it, Violet. Seal your fate."
Alessandro's eyes narrowed, his gaze intensifying.
Violet's heart pounded, her thoughts racing with the consequences. She felt trapped, with no escape.
The contract's clauses blurred together, a jumbled mess of legalese. But one phrase stood out: "Irrevocable consent to marriage."
Irrevocable. No turning back.
Killian's fingers brushed against hers, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
"Sign," he urged, his voice low and husky.
Violet's hand hesitated, poised above the paper.
Alessandro stepped closer, his presence suffocating.
"Sign, Violet," Killian repeated, his voice growing firmer.
The contract seemed to expand, filling the room with its presence.
Violet's vision narrowed, focusing on the signature line.
Her hand moved, the pen trembling in her fingers.
She poised the pen above the paper, ready to seal her fate.
Would she sign?
The silence stretched out.
One year before the wedding,
Violet stumbled out of the hotel bar, her vision blurry. Too many drinks had dulled her senses.
She fumbled for her room key, but the numbers blurred together.
A gentle hand grasped her elbow.
"Need help?" a deep voice asked.
Violet turned, her gaze meeting piercing eyes.
"I...I think I lost my room," she slurred.
The stranger smiled.
"Let me help."
Together, they staggered down the hallway.
Violet's legs wobbled.
The stranger caught her.
"Whoa, easy," he whispered.
They stopped at a door.
"Is this...?" Violet began.
The stranger nodded.
They entered.
The room spun.
Violet collapsed onto the bed.
The stranger followed.
Their lips met.
Violet's world exploded.
She had never felt this way before.
It was her first time.
The stranger's touch ignited flames.
Their bodies entwined.
In the morning, Violet woke alone.
A pounding headache.
Regret washed over her.
What had she done?
No note.
No name.
Just a faint memory.
Of piercing eyes.
And a whispered promise.
"Until next time."
Little did she know.
That stranger would become her husband.
And their one-night stand would change everything.
Meanwhile, Killian struggled to recall.
A business meeting.
A drink.
A pill.
Everything blurred.
He remembered nothing.
Until Violet.
Their wedding vows.
Their marriage.
Alessandro's watchful gaze.
Killian's memories returned.
In fragments.
Violet's innocence.
Her beauty.
Their night.
He had been drugged.
She had been drunk.
A mistake.
A fatal mistake.
Their worlds collided.
Mafia politics.
Hidden agendas.
Forbidden desires.
The game.
