It’s not that Björn did not love their child, from his actions and thoughts it’s so obvious that he was insanely happy, but he didn’t express it, and after the loss, he feared burdening her with his own grief. When I had a miscarriage, my husband also struggled to express his pain, when seeing me absolutely destroyed emotionally. Men suffer in silence. It’s just how it is. She was too young to understand that, and he was too fearful to not express himself.

I understood Bjorn, having to suppress his emotions because he is not good at expressing himself into words so he was misunderstood. However, i see character development for both of them.
