The New Babysitter

Andrew couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease after dinner conversation.

As he lay in bed, just then his phone buzzed. A text from max:

“Hey man don’t think about anything, just get a good damn sleep, I will come visit you very early tomorrow morning.”

Andrew smiled grateful for Max’s support.

The next morning, Andrew mood hadn’t improved. He was still fuming from the previous night’s conversation, one of the maid assist him to his wheelchair and wheeled into the living room, he found his mom sipping coffee and ready for work,

“Good morning, Andrew,” Mrs Allen said, her voice cheerful

Andrew’s response was curt. “Morning”

“Are you still angry about last night at the dining table, am doing this for your safety”

“Who is ivy?” He asked

Mrs. Allen's expression turned cautious. "Ivy Thompson is a wonderful girl from a reputable family. She's kind, intelligent, and beautiful."

Andrew's eyes narrowed. "And you've already arranged our marriage, haven't you?"

Mrs. Allen's voice remained calm. "Andrew, I've told you. This union will secure CTY's future and protect you from... unpleasantness."

Andrew's frustration boiled over. "Unpleasantness? You mean about my disability?"

Mrs. Allen's eyes flashed, but she regained composure. "That's not what I meant."

Andrew's voice rose. "You're hiding something, Mother."

Just then, Max arrived, his presence a welcome distraction.

"Hey, man! Morning, Mrs. Allen," Max said, his tone light.

Mrs. Allen smiled, relieved. "Good morning, Max. I'll leave you two to catch up. I have a meeting, and Andrew I already got you a new babysitter, she should come this afternoon”

“Always she, am sick and tired of female can’t you just find a male and moreover why afternoon?”

“She is a part time babysitter not full time?”

“Who will assist me this morning?” He asked

“Max should be able to assist you with that, am going, love you son”Mrs Allen said taking her bag and left.

“Why does she always employ a female for me” Andrew wandered

“Sounds good for me, I wonder who is your new babysitter this time, I just hope she is pretty just like the girl I saw yesterday” Max smiled

“What a womaniser” Andrew said.

SOME HOURS LATER

“Am accepting to marry her only because of CTY but who the hell is Ivy Thompson”Andrew said frustrated

“Well your wife to be”Max teased

Andrew shot Max a mock glare “Not funny dude”He said

Max chuckled, settling into the plush couch

“I heard she is a socialite, a very famous model and also the heiresses of her uncle five star hotel and also she is pretty”he said but just then his phone buzzed

Juliana’s name flashed on the screen and he pick it

“Hey” He said

“Mr Max could you please come to my school, The principal wants to see you”She said with a shaken voice

“You cause trouble again don’t you?”Max ask

“No it wasn’t my fault this time”Juliana said to him before hanging up

“I should have just left her in the village”Max whispered

“You should go, She is waiting for you isn’t she?”Andrew ask Max who relaxed back on the couch

“What about you?”

“My babysitter should be here anytime soon, just go and come back”Andrew said to him

“Alright bro, take care”

“My regards to your girlfriend”

“For the last time she is not my girlfriend”

“Then is she a guy that is your friend?”Andrew smirked

“Fuck you man” Max said and left the building, just when he left, A taxi parked in front of the mansion and a girl came out of it.....

AT MONTANA HIGH SCHOOL

Juliana was at the school yard waiting for Max with injuries all over her face with her leg also, soon Max appeared at her front she was damn happy to see him

As Max approached Juliana his expression remained natural

“Didn’t I told you not to call me whenever you get beaten up by your classmate, if you can’t handle this yourself just quit schooling and head back to your aunt”Max scold her making tears drop from her eyes

“I...I..I...I..am so..rry for bothering you but about me quitting school is never going to happen and am never going back to that aunt of mine not until I achieve my dreams” She said cleaning her tears with her hands

Max’s expression eased, his gaze lingering on Juliana’s determined face.

“Seat”He command which Juliana obeyed and he brought out some ointment he got at the school clinic, then he rub it slowly on her bruises face, Juliana was filled with excitement and didn’t know when she bust out laugh

“Don’t be too happy, am only doing this in order for my parent not to get disappointed at me for not treating you well” He said to her

“What did the principal say?”Juliana ask

“Let’s go” He said to her after he was done and they both left the school courtyard

BACK AT THE BLUE MANSION

“Wow, what a big building, it my first time being in a house as big and beautiful as this”She examines the house as the maid direct her inside

“Young Master you have a guest” The maid knocks at Andrew door

“Let her in”He response
