INSIDE MRS ALLEN OFFICE

“I have no say to that, all I want is my son happiness and his recovery, but you make a good proposal and I will try to talk to him about it” Mrs Allen said

“Okay. How is Andrew doing now?, is he getting any better?” Mrs Thompson asked

“I wish so but he have been firing all the babysitter I employed for him, always finding a complain in them and am fed up about it, now I have to look for someone else”

“I think I might have someone who can introduce you to a physical therapy, if you don’t mind I can help you talk to her about it”

“Sure, I will be happy if you can get a good one for me”

“Alright then, I will be taking my leave now and by weekend your daughter in law would come and spend some time with you and her husband to be” She said carrying her bag and about to leave

“She is always welcomed” Mrs Allen said escorting her friend out of her office

LATER AT NIGHT

THE BLUE MANSION

AT THE DINING TABLE

Both Mr and Mrs Allen are at the dining table having dinner with Max and Andrew.

“So Max what are you planning on doing now that you are back from your hometown?” Mr Allen ask

“Am planning on opening a Gallery since am a professional artist and moreover that what i study for in school”

“That amazing unlike my son who depends on his parent for everything” Mr Allen said but Andrew didn’t say anything concentrating on his phone

“Andrew, do you wish to be matchmake?” Mrs Allen asked making Andrew and Max choked on their food

Andrew coughed nearly spitting out his food”Matchmake? Why do you think I should be matched make with someone?”

“Because you need it” His mom said not wanting to piss him up

“I don’t need it, I told you this morning I don’t need marriage”

“Well I guess you will need it if you don’t want the public to know about your accident, I can’t cover up for you forever, you might be the owner of CTY but that doesn’t means they can’t disqualified you, a guy on a wheelchair can’t run the industry” Mr Allen said to Andrew

“Dear if you can get married to Ivy Thompson she will help you, you won’t need to worry about you loosing the shareholders support and CTY can be fully yours and am very sure you and Ivy will make a good couples”Mrs Allen said

Andrew's face darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. "So this is about protecting the family's business, not my health?"

Mr Allen's expression remained stern. "It's about reality, Andrew. Your condition... it's a liability. Marrying Ivy Thompson will secure your position and CTY's future."

Andrew's voice rose. "You're using my disability as a bargaining chip? That's despicable."

Max intervened, trying to calm the tension. "Hey, let's not jump to conclusions. Andrew, hear them out."

Andrew's gaze turned icy. "No, Max. I won't be blackmailed into marriage."

Mrs. Allen's voice softened. "Andrew, dear, we just want what's best for you. Ivy can help you navigate the public eye and...."

"I don't need a wife or anyone else to fix me," Andrew snapped. "I can handle my own life." He said and left the dining table to his room using his electric wheelchair and slammed the door behind

“I will talk to him, am sure he will listen” Max said to them

“Please do” Mr Allen said said to Max before he finally left the dining table and enter Andrew room

"Hey man, calm down."

"They're suffocating me, Max. They don't care about how am going to recover"

Max sat on the bed. "I know they're pushing you, but maybe they just want what's best for you, this is also part of you getting well”

Andrew stopped pacing, his eyes flashing. "What's best for me? I don’t need marriage to get well”

The room fell silent, Andrew's anger simmering.

Max broke the silence. "You need to talk to them, Andrew. Make them understand."

Andrew sighed, defeated. "I'll try, Max. But I won't promise anything."

As the night wore on, Andrew's thoughts turned to his future.

Was marriage really the answer?

Or would it be his downfall?
