The Confrontation part 2

Before Rose can respond, the shout comes again, closer this time, and her father appears at the end of the alley. He’s tall, his face set in a grimace of anger, his posture rigid with rage. His eyes lock onto Mahir first, and Rose can feel the wave of tension crashing between them.

Father:

His voice is a harsh growl as he steps forward, eyes narrowing in disgust as he looks Mahir up and down.

"What is this? What’s going on here, Rose? Who is this boy?"

His words are venomous, and Rose can feel the heat of his fury from where she stands. She tries to speak, to explain, but her father cuts her off with a sharp gesture, his gaze never leaving Mahir.

"You think I wouldn’t find out? You think I wouldn’t see you sneaking around with this... this stranger?"

His voice rises with each word, growing louder with every syllable.

Rose:

Her heart races, but she steps forward, her voice barely a whisper as she tries to keep her composure.

"Dad, please, just listen to me. Mahir and I—"

Father:

He scoffs, cutting her off with a dismissive gesture.

"Listen? You want me to listen to this?"

His eyes turn to Mahir, and his lip curls in disdain.

"Do you think I’ll just sit here and pretend like this is fine? You think I’ll accept you—"

He turns back to Rose, his voice seething with anger.

"You’re my daughter! You’re supposed to marry someone who shares our values, our faith. Not... not him!"

His eyes flicker with disgust as he glares at Mahir.

"You don’t belong together. This... this is an insult to everything our family stands for."

Rose:

Her heart cracks at his words, the hurt evident in her voice as she faces her father.

"Dad, I love him. I love Mahir. And I can’t just turn that off because you don’t approve."

Her voice trembles, but there’s a firmness to it now.

"You can’t make me stop loving him."

Father:

His face reddens with fury, and his hands ball into fists at his sides.

"You will stop seeing him. I won’t allow this. You’re not a child anymore, Rose. You have to understand—this is wrong. You can’t have both. You will choose."

His voice cracks with emotion as he turns to her one final time.

"Come home, Rose. Now. Or you can forget about ever being part of this family."

Rose:

Her eyes burn with unshed tears, but she doesn’t look away. She steps forward, standing tall, her heart pounding in her chest.

"No, Dad."

Her voice is clear, resolute, and despite the ache inside her, she knows there’s no going back now.

"I choose Mahir. And if that means losing you... then that’s what I’ll do."

Her words hang in the air, heavy and final.

Mahir:

He steps forward, gently placing his hand on her shoulder as a sign of solidarity. His voice is soft but unwavering.

"We love each other. That’s all that matters."

Father:

He stares at them both, disbelief and rage flashing in his eyes. But then, with a sharp, final motion, he turns away.

"You’re no longer my daughter."

His words hit like a slap, and Rose can’t breathe for a moment. He disappears into the darkness of the alley, his footsteps echoing like the end of something she never thought would end.

Rose:

She stands frozen, her body trembling with emotion. The finality of his words settles into her bones like ice. But Mahir is there, his arms around her, steady and warm.

"I’m so sorry, Rose," he whispers. "I never wanted this for you
