ETERNAL MOON

In the velvet night where shadows sigh,

Your light still lingers, though faded, awry.

A tender glow, once radiant, now dim,

I search for solace in memories of him.

Oh my moon, you wore a crown of stars,

The whispers of love, now echoing scars.

When laughter danced on silken beams,

We wove our dreams upon the seams.

But time, that thief, with hands of fate,

Unraveled our tapestry, whispered of hate.

The beauty we cherished turned to ash,

As fragments of promise fell, a broken clash.

Each crater on your face, a story untold,

Of love that once burned, of hearts growing cold.

In the shrouded dusk, where shadows blend,

I wander through memories, seeking to mend.

You were my solace, my midnight sun,

In every heartbeat, you were the one.

Yet storms rolled in with thunderous might,

Cyclones of sorrow eclipsed our light.

I chase the glimmers, those remnants of day,

A flickering hope that won’t drift away.

Yet tears trace paths down cheeks, like rain,

As I cradle the echoes of bittersweet pain.

Your laughter, a melody, haunting my core,

Each note a reminder of what was before.

I dream of moments, soft whispers in dark,

When love was a fire, igniting the spark.

But the moon is a mirror of light and despair,

Reflecting the love that vanished in air.

A heart that once soared now tethered to earth,

In the silence, you’re gone, yet you linger in mirth.

How do I gaze at the skies without grieving,

When your gentle presence feels so deceiving?

Each glance up above, a reminder of loss,

A reminder of love, and the heart’s heavy cost.

So here I stand, in the moon’s silent glow,

Embracing the sorrow, letting the heart know,

That even in darkness, a flicker persists,

A belief that your love might still somehow exist.

I cradle the hopes that twinkle in night,
