Episode-11: Dark circles under his eyes made her worry for him

JADE GARDEN,

After drying Genesis' hair, Ethan went to the balcony as he got a call.

"I have frozen the cards and tell you what she again lent the card you gave her to her toyboy David and both of them this time got embarrassed because the card declined again and again. I saw the surveillance and saw their funny faces. That was hilarious!" Jordan said from the other side of the call.

Ethan did not say anything in reply. He did give her a card to spend because this was also a way of helping her and letting her enjoy what she wanted but maybe she would never come to know why he was doing everything.

Ethan did not think much of it. Diana is already past for him, and he has a bright future with his wife, Genesis.

She wants a normal relationship with her husband, who has eyes for her only, and he will make sure not to let her down.

It was his impulsiveness to marry her and now he will not shrink his responsibilities towards her.

"There is a project finalization discussion tomorrow. Will you come to attend?" Jordan tentatively asked.

Ethan is the youngest in his family and does not have to do anything, so he has been enjoying his life and working behind the screen without showing himself. He likes this kind of life where he does not have to work all the time or worry about money and can enjoy a peaceful time to enjoy life with his hobbies.

Aside from his family members, no one knows that the biggest shareholder of the biggest finance company is no one but, Ethan.

"I'll see if I can." After saying this he hung up the call and strode back to the room. The light was turned off; Genesis was lying on the bed, already asleep.

Ethan carefully lifted the quilt and got under the quilt, quietly lying on the left side of the bed.

He tried to close his eyes and sleep but the presence of someone lying beside him was more than enough to keep him awake.

After counting and so on numbers in his mind when he felt a little tired and thought sleepiness was coming, a soft hand suddenly wrapped around his chest. His eyes shot open as if electrocuted, he turned and saw Genesis very close to his body.

She was fast asleep quietly on the right side till now without any movement. How come she suddenly turned and reached out to hug me?

Ethan looked at her sleeping face and did not dare to move much. The night was very pleasant but for Ethan, it was wreaking havoc.

"Why do you have such dark circles under your eyes? Genesis came out of the bathroom, dressed in her simple yet elegant outfit when she saw Ethan sitting on the bed with dark circles under his eyes.

"I-"

Before he could say anything, Genesis was already standing close to him, her fingers brushing across the skin under his eye, leaving him stunned like a wooden plank.

"You did not sleep well last night, did you?" She asked looking at his haggard face.

"Ahem. It's not that bad."

Genesis felt a little guilty seeing his condition and said, "Just lie down first. I have an incense called Nanke, which helps me sleep. Just catch some sleep"

She pushed his shoulders down and fixed the quilt around him and slightly massaged his temples and brows.

Ethan also had a heavy head and sore eyes, so he did not say anything and went back to sleep.

Later, when he woke up from his sleep, it was already 1 at noon. He freshened up after a little workout in the room and made his way downstairs to have something when he paused seeing Genesis on the couch working on her computer.

"Why are you still here? Did you not go back to University?" He asked walking towards her.

She raised her head and put away the laptop before getting up and walking towards him.

"I was just a little worried about you. Mom and Dad left to sightseeing. Do you want to eat something light?"

"Sure" Suddenly a warm feeling emerged in his heart.

Ethan never felt like this before when he was still entangled with Diana. During their few days after knowing each other, Diana also brought some takeouts for him, but he never liked eating that food.

She was doing that because he helped her in the police station and helped her with the local hooligans, and she also saw that he was rich and had money, so she wanted to do something. It was quite simple, but Ethan never felt his heart warm.

Ethan walked towards the kitchen and sat on the chair across the kitchen slab while looking at Genesis.

It doesn't feel bad marrying someone as good as her.

He thought inwardly. At this time, Genesis' phone rang, and she directly put it on the speaker.

Emily's exciting voice came from the other side of the phone, "Gene, you are not busy with your husband today, are you? Come and have lunch with us. I have called Our little female CEO too. We want all the details of your marriage."

Ethan was startled when he suddenly heard this. Genesis gave him a look and slowly said while pouring the soup into her bowl.

"I am having lunch with my husband already. If you want to meet him just ask directly. The phone is on the speaker."

There was a brief silence before a polite sound of the same voice came through the phone, "Hello, brother-in-law; I am your second little sister-in-law and your wife's best friend, Emily."

"Hello." Ethan composed himself and said.

"Do you have time to come with your wife for dinner? Now you two are married, we should have dinner, don't you think so?" Emily cautiously said.

"Sure. We'll come." Ethan smiled and took the soup from Genesis before saying.

"Great!!! I'll send Gene the address. Make sure to tie her up and take her there. Once this girl stepped into the study or laboratory, she forgot that there were other places on this big planet."

Genesis helplessly chuckles, "I was thinking of making the Pamela pudding that you like to eat. Let's forget about this for the time being."

There was again a bride silence from the other side followed by a little slapping sound. Emily slapped her mouth and cursed in a slow voice.

"You are the best Gene. I was joking and highlighting your strong points. No need to send the pudding to me. Just tell me when it's ready, and I'll be there to eat. Bye, dear sister." she immediately hung up, fearing that she'd again say something which would threaten the pudding coming to her mouth.

Genesis did not pay her any mind and turned to look at him, "So, are you free?"

"I'll come even if I wasn't"

She smiled and said across her, "Let's eat then"

ANOTHER SIDE,

"You won't believe me, but Freya, our brother-in-law's voice, is just like those anime voice artists. So deep and main. Now I knew why Gene got married in such a hurry. She must have fallen in love with his voice." Emily munched on the chips and said.

"So, is his voice more charming than that of your Mr I?" Freya asked lifting her eyes.

"Ahem. I was just praising my Brother-in-law. No one can compare to Mr I in my heart. He is the best."

"As you say."

Knock

"Enter," Freya said.

The assistant walked inside, "CEO, Mr Hunter is here asking to see you."

Emily whistled and got up to leave, "Ok, your pursuer is here, so I am going back now. Bye"

Freya's mouth twitched. She sure runs fast.

"Let him in."
