Episode-8: Either she is faking or got her first love

Genesis opened the door and stepped inside the apartment. She turned on the lights and handed over the slippers to Ethan. Ethan bent and wore it before walking inside.

The apartment wasn't too small or too extravagant; it was just perfect, very similar to its owner.

Classy, elegant and peaceful just like her.

"Have this tea. I'll go and pack my clothes. I don't have much to take, so the packing will be done soon. You won't have to wait too long." Genesis handed over the cup to him and said.

"Should I also help you with something?" Ethan took the teacup and asked.

He did not come here just to sit and drink tea and let her do everything on her own. That's too ungentlemanly.

"Finish the tea, and then you can help me with my books in the study", Genesis said and walked away to her bedroom.

Ethan sat on the couch while glancing around the living room and kitchen. The living room has some of her pictures with her friends and family.

In one of them, she is smiling like a flower, probably her teenage picture. It's just the background seems a little familiar to him, but he doesn't remember where he saw it.

In another picture, she is bandaging a small kitten. A candid picture was most likely taken by her friend.

In another one, she is with her parents, smiling and hugging both of them.

Genesis glanced at her phone and picked up, "Hello"

"Gene, I don't have any night shift tonight. Will you come for some hotpot and dim sum? My treat tonight."

Why everyone is calling her for dinner tonight when she has to go back to her husband's home with him and have dinner with him there?

A perfect example of, everyone will remember you when you have something important to do.

"Emily, Let's meet tomorrow. I remember your leave should be three days, right? I have another dinner appointment."

"Eh? Another dinner date? With whom you are eating? The date your sister introduced you to?" Emily teased her while eating her chips lying on her bed on her stomach and hugging the pillow.

"No,", Genesis said and glanced outside at the man's figure before saying, "I am married. I need to be with my husband. Bye, single soul." She hung up after saying her part not wanting to engage in gossip.

Genesis turned only to see Ethan standing there at the door.

"Should I now help you with the books?"

"Yes. Let me show you."

At Café,

"What did she say? Is she coming?"

Emily looked at her phone and then at Freya, who was drinking her espresso with a nonchalant face.

I am the most human one among these two aliens. One is too calm and collected, and the other is cold as a mountain, but both are my right and left hand; I can't leave anyone but choose to beat all my life. Huff!!

Poor me!

"She isn't coming. She's saying that she got married and will be having dinner with her husband. She did not even invite me to her wedding. Humph, what a white wolf-eyed friend I have raised?" Poking the straw in her drinks, Emily said, looking with her eyes narrowed.

Freya stopped herself, saying, you did not contribute a penny to raise her. So why be dramatic now?

"Hey, tell me Yaya, I don't eat that much, do I? Then why did she not call me?"

"......" Brutally honest! Bad for health!!

"What do you think about her marriage? Who can be our brother-in-law?" Emily leaned closer as if asking a national secret.

Freya put down her mug, turning her attention to Emily, "Either she is faking this marriage or has got her first love"

Emily gasped hearing this, "Then what we need to do now?"

"What, what? She isn't available tonight, not every night. She said that she'll come tomorrow. We'll ask her that then. I also have a meeting so I am going there. See you tomorrow." Freya stood up, put on her sunglasses and strode out of the café.

"Sigh"

"Let me treat myself a treat tonight. Good work Emily." She parted her shoulder and cheered up before finding a good restaurant and ordering a big meal for herself.

Meanwhile,

"Diana, why don't you call Ethan and ask him about the problem with the card? It was given by him and he should be responsible for the problems concerning the card, should not he?" David said while cutting the steak.

"You are right He should give me an explanation for this." Diana put down her fork and dialed Ethan's number but the call was not picked up.

She furrows her brows before dialling his number, but the call is not picked up again.

"Fúck him. What's with this stunt now?" She harshly put down the phone on the table and leaned back in irritation.

How dare he not to pick up my call? Is he still showing his tantrums because I did not go to see him at the marriage registration office?

"He did not pick up?" David asked looking at her pissed face.

"He'll call back himself after cooling off a little. He asked me to go marriage registration office today, did you forget? Maybe he waited too long and is a little upset about this. I'll go to see him and ask him about the card."

David immediately gripped the fork a little tightly. What if Ethan stopped giving her money? What will he do then? Although Diana is from the Gomez family, she did not have much money on herself. Her allowance is not that high. I still need to for my office.

What will I do if Ethan seriously gets angry this time and is serious about not giving her any more money? Shit man! Why can't this woman handle a man who is a big money tree? I'll take some of his favourite pastries with him to see him. Isn't this just a marriage? Why is he making such a fuss over nothing? He never does something like freezing the cards but now he has done this. I'll just go and coax him first before confronting him to not embarrass me like today.

After packing up the luggage, Ethan called for another car and sent back all her stuff to the Jade Garden; meanwhile, he took her back with him in another car.

On their way to Jade Garden, Genesis asked him to stop the car at the nearest supermarket as she wanted to buy some groceries to cook dinner tonight by herself.

Ethan doesn't want her to tire herself, but she does not listen by saying, "This is the day we got married; a dinner cooked by me can be considered celebrating. Let me cook tonight. I don't usually cook as I am often busy with my research"

Ethan has to give her, the least he can do is to help her with the dinner.

I also got married, not just her, so I also ought to do something for her. She wants a real relationship and I want to move on in my life.
