It was a rainy night...
Alexander had come home early and was holding Lyon in his arms, his warm skin and prolonged kisses leaving him somewhat enamored. But moments later, a wave of anger surged, stirring the disdain in his heart.
Alexander let him go and went to the bathroom to shower. He had been gone only for a moment when the cell phone on the nightstand began to ring, and Lyon picked it up for him. A delicate Omega voice came from the phone.
"Alex, did you tell Lyon about us?"
Lyon froze in place, his mind going blank for a moment. He knew whose voice it was... Yonathan Lamer.
"Alex... it's thundering outside, I'm a little scared, can you come and keep me company? You used to keep me company like this, why didn't you come today, Alex, Alex?"
Perhaps realizing that the person who answered the cell phone was not Alexander, the Omega on the other end quickly hung up the phone.
Lyon rigidly placed Alexander's cell phone back in its original spot and lay back on the bed.
A moment later, Alexander came out of the shower. However, he didn't get into bed to continue sleeping, but sat on the sofa beside him and called him in a soft voice.
"Lyon."
"Hmmm."
"Let's get a divorce!"
In the dim light, Lyon's tears fell, but his voice had a touch of anticipated calm.
"Why?"
"Yonathan is pregnant, the child is mine."
Only seven words, and all of Lyon's defenses collapsed.
So, what Yonathan meant by "us" was this!
It felt as if someone had stabbed him deep in the heart with a knife; the pain made him tremble.
"When did this happen?"
"In February."
Lyon tried to suppress his sobs.
"Since when have you been cheating on me? How far along is he?"
A wave of emotion appeared on Alexander's handsome, indifferent face.
"This is my business; just give me the divorce."
"Why can't I ask? You slept with him, do you think I haven't been up to his standards? You dare to do it, but you can't stand me wanting to know since when?"
Alexander's gaze was incredibly sharp.
"Shut up! It's not like you think! He's 3 months along."
"So, how is it? We got married in January, you slept with him in February, and now it's only May and you want a divorce. Don't you think you're shameless?"
"I said it's not like you think! If I'm shameless, where does that leave you? Don't think I don't know what you were after when you married me!"
Lyon was filled with sadness and grief.
"What was I after?"
"You were aiming for my family's wealth and how to fill your pockets with money to give to your lover, trying to use our money to buy luxuries for your lover!"
"Is this what you think of me?"
Alexander's tone was cold and mocking.
"Or what? Are you in love with me?"
Lyon felt provoked by his tone, pretended he didn't care, and said angrily.
"How could that be possible? You're right, I married you for the money. As for you personally, there's nothing to love, your physique is okay, and you're just a tool Alpha who can warm my bed. We've been married for how long, and you don't go beyond hot kisses. Are you an impotent Alpha?"
Alexander, a prodigy Alpha, was belittled so harshly by an Omega for the first time.
Only good for keeping an Omega's bed warm? Impotent? He warned him coldly.
"Don't go too far, Lyon."
"You're the one who's gone too far, Alexander, sleeping with him when you married me. Do you have a conscience at all?"
"It's not your place as a gold digger to lecture me about conscience!"
"I am your husband right now. When you had an affair and fathered a child, it gave me the right to scold you."
"Not for much longer!"
As they argued, Alexander's cell phone rang again.
He looked at the caller ID and softened his brusque attitude to answer the call.
"Yonathan, what's wrong? Okay, I'm on my way." After hanging up, Alexander walked away without looking back.
Lyon was left alone in the room. He got under the covers and began to cry.
He wondered if he could ever see him, no matter how much he tried to love him or how much he tried to become a virtuous and gentle husband. He had only slept with him three months ago, and it was because of the heat. When dawn broke, Lyon was already in another room, and Alexander never spoke to him about it.
Lyon thought it wasn't necessary to talk about it, since they were husbands it was normal, there would be many nights they would continue to do so, but he realized that Alexander didn't go beyond hot kisses and would stop angrily when it was time to go further.
Does he think he's a gold digger and has lovers? Does he think he's after his family's property and fortune? When... did he ever ask him for a cent?
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
When Alexander arrived at Yonathan's villa, he was curled up on the sofa, covering his ears, trembling.
When he saw him, Yonathan's eyes lit up.
"Alexander, I'm so happy you came. With you here, I'm not afraid of the thunder outside."
Alexander nodded.
"It's late. Go up to bed."
Yonathan's voice softened.
"Alexander, aren't you coming upstairs with me? I'm still scared to sleep alone."
Alexander looked at him for a while, and finally said.
"I was extremely drunk and made a mistake that day. It won't happen again." Yonathan began to cry. "But I didn't mean anything by it. I'm really scared. I'm afraid of storms. My parents always kept me company. Alexander…"
Alexander knew he was really afraid of thunder. He clenched his fist and nodded.
"Alright, let's go upstairs."
Yonathan was euphoric, wiped his tears, and reached out to take Alexander's hand.
"I knew you were very kind to me, Alexander!"
Alexander avoided his hand, only reminding him.
"Watch your step."
Yonathan was surprised. He covered his belly and said.
"Alexander, support me. I'm afraid of falling."
Alexander closed his eyes briefly before stepping forward to hold his arm.
Once in the bedroom, Yonathan lay down, while Alexander sat on the nearby sofa, watching over him.
In the dim light, he asked.
"Yonathan, that night, did you notice who put something in our drinks?"
"I didn't notice. I was a victim too, Alexander." Yonathan's voice was full of complaints. "Can we not talk about it? I don't wish to remember."
"Alright, I won't mention it. You should sleep."
Outside the window, the storm was raging, with thunder and lightning repeatedly striking, as if punishing someone.
Alexander opened his cell phone, checked his messages, and focused on the last voice message.
He had listened to this message so many times that he didn't need to play it. He could remember the intermittent voice of the stranger and had memorized the face from the sent photo.
"Alexander, you probably don't know, but your Omega has a lover. The only person he cares about is this Alpha. All your money is for him, your husband wants your properties and your company."
In the photo, Lyon was embracing an Alpha. This was sent a day after the wedding.
