CHAPTER FIVE.

 Jason was stunned as he stared at the angry and fuming Alexander.

" Listen here you little bastard!" Alexander walked forward and stood in front of him " I was hesitant at first but now, you better watch your back! I'll make sure you swallow each and every one of your words in a week. I'll make this house a living hell for you!" He turned and walked towards the stairs.

" Fourth room to your left." Cain called from behind. Alexander walked up the stairs and into his room, shutting the door with a loud 'bang!'

" Jace give the kid a break." Cain sighed "He's just sixteen and he had a tough life. I saw the apartment he lives in and it's not a place to call home. Why are you angry? Did he do something?"

" Why would you suddenly bring home another kid? Who is he to you?" Jason asked in a deep, dark voice.

" Hold up! You think he's my illegitimate son?" Cain widened his eyes " What the hell is going through that brain of yours? I only ever had your mother as a companion and my love for her will never wither. You think I'll cheat on her?"

Jason went quiet and his expression eased up. It was foolish of him to speculate and jump to conclusions. He was usually a calm and collected person but when his father introduced Alexander, he lost it. Thinking about it now... It was plain stupid.

 " Sorry." Jason apologized sincerely.

" I understand, it's fine. But I'm not the one you should be apologizing to. Alex might seem tough on the outside but deep down, he is still a kid. It's a wall he built around himself to keep him safe. As an elder brother, you have to make him trust and look up to you."

" I understand." Jason casted his gaze low.

   Alexander kicked a box and his face scrunched up in pain. He cried out and held his right foot.

" Fuck why's the box so hard?!" he hopped on one leg and fell hard on the floor.

 After an hour of venting, cursing and kicking things, Alexander opened the closet door. His eyes widened as he stared at the huge walk in closet. It was filled to the brim with different clothes and shoes, all in his size. He snapped out of his trance and started unpacking. Most of the boxes were filled with books and stationary. He arranged everything and stacked the boxes together, shoving them under the queen size bed.

He walked to the other side of the room and opened the door a little. He peeked inside and almost went blind when he saw the blinding white bathroom. It had a bathtub and a private shower with tinted glass walls and door. The toilet was at the other side of the bathroom.

 Sighing with bliss, Alexander grabbed the white towel that was prepared for him in the bathroom, and walked towards the bathtub. After navigating his way with the taps, he settled in the bathtub filled with lukewarm water.

 Half an hour of soaking later, Alexander walked out with the towel loosely hanging on his waist.

 A knock resounded on the door. Thinking it was Cain or one of the servants, Alexander opened it without a second thought.

  Jason stood outside and his eyes flickered for a moment as he stared at the half naked Alexander.

" What the fuck!" Alexander was ready to shut the door, when a steady hand held it open.

" Hold on." Jason pushed the door open " I'm not here to pick a fight." Alexander opened the door a bit wider and stared at Jason with hostility. Jason took a deep breath and stared into Alexander's green eyes.

 " I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that and hurt your feelings."

  Alexander was stumped. Jason doesn't come off has someone who apologize to people even if he's the one in the wrong.

  How the fuck am I suppose to stay angry if you stare at me like that?! Only a psychopath will stay angry at that face...

" It's fine. Sorry about what I said. I was angry and lost my head for a moment." Alexander smiled. Jason nodded and held out his other hand.

" Here. For you. It's my last one." Jason said. Alexander looked down and saw a small slice of chocolate cake in a small bowl.

" Thanks." Alexander beamed and took it. He has a crazy sweet tooth, but he's not particularly fond of chocolates. Seeing Jason hand him his last slice, Alexander suddenly developed a likeness for chocolate. Probably because Jason smell like chocolate too. Even now with Jason standing in front of him, he can smell the faint scent of chocolate and spices. They blend so well.

  Jason nodded and walked off. Alexander closed the door and gobbled the cake. He licked his fingers and smiled, unbeknownst to him, the childish side of him that had being buried for years, was beginning to show and take root.

  Washing his hand, Alexander slipped on a pair of gray joggers and sweatshirt. He let down his hair and scurried down the stairs barefooted. It was dinnertime already and his stomach was grumbling but he almost got lost while trying to find the dining room. A butler probably noticed his dilemma and walked towards him, leading him into the dinning room.

Cain and Jason were waiting for him to arrive. The father and son duo, sat beside each other, their resemblance, uncanny.

 " Damn I almost got lost in this mansion of yours." Alexander grumbled and sat opposite them " they couldn't have gone with a medium size building?"

" You'll get used to it." Cain laughed, and the maids quickly walked in to set the table.

 Without as much as another word, the three of them started eating. Alexander cleared his plate and ate three servings! He usually ate can or frozen food and at times, he orders pizza. Getting to taste this kind of food, he lost all composure and ate everything.

" Slow down. You'll choke." Jason frowned.

Alexander raised his head and swallowed the food in his mouth.

" Hehe~ what a caring older brother." he laughed lightly.

Older brother? Ah! Our journey together has just begun...
