A Special Journey of Love
A week after our last conversation, on the night of November 13, we talked until 1 AM while everyone else was asleep. The only fear I had at that moment was getting caught. I kept glancing at the clock on the wall while chatting with him. Our conversation was as normal as always, but suddenly, he told me that he had something important to say.
Curious, I asked him what it was. After a few minutes, he finally said, "Maybe after this, we won’t be able to talk like we usually do." I replied with a laugh, "Then don't tell me."
Aditya responded, "If I don't tell you now, I may never get the chance. I don’t want to waste your time or mine. Maybe, months from now, you won’t agree with me on this. And if you reject me outright, I’ll have to move on and find someone else."
At that moment, I knew exactly what he was about to say. I felt a wave of fear wash over me, and I instinctively looked at my sister, who was sleeping beside me.
Then, Aditya said, "I have loved you since the first time I saw you. You already know that from the way we talk. Now, I feel this is the right time to say it out loud. I know it's hard for you to accept, but it’s the truth. I need someone to take care of me, and if you agree, you can be that person. I promise to be with you until my last breath, to stand by you, and to support your dreams. The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?"
His message was long, heartfelt, and emotional. I hesitated before replying, "If my parents or my sister find out, they will kill me."
He reassured me, "Let's keep it a secret for now. We don’t have to tell them immediately. When the time feels right, we will."
After a few minutes, I said "yes." In response, he sent me a voice message, his voice soft yet filled with excitement:
"Oooo, I can't even explain how happy I am today!"
I could hear his happiness in his voice, and for a few moments, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
The Unexpected Trip
The next day, I told him that I was visiting his city with my parents and sister because she had cleared the NEET exam. We were going there to arrange her accommodation and complete the admission formalities.
Aditya seemed more excited than I expected. During the student introduction session, I felt bored and texted him.
Aditya: "I want to hear your voice. Can I call you?"
Me: "My father is sitting next to me. Do you want to talk to him?"
Realizing the risk, he quickly refused.
Aditya: "Ohh, okay, okay! I don't want to take that chance. I’ll talk to you later."
After the meeting, I explored the college campus with my cousin brother. I saw a field where some medical students were playing cricket. Later, we organized my sister’s new room and, after everything was settled, decided to stay at my aunt’s house for the night.
By 7 PM, we reached her home, relaxed, and I made a mini vlog introducing my family to Aditya. I sent it to him before watching anime with my cousin. Later, I went out with my little cousin brother to buy chips.
After such a long day, I sat on the couch with my cousins, reflecting on everything. I felt a strange sadness. I had been single my whole life, never receiving this much attention from anyone during my travels. Usually, I would listen to my favorite music, watch the scenery outside, and avoid unnecessary conversations. But this time was different—someone genuinely wanted to know about my experiences, what I ate, and how I felt. It was sweet but also overwhelming.
I told Aditya that I felt a little sad, not understanding why. He comforted me by saying, "Maybe you’re missing your big sister." Then he suggested, "Look at the night sky full of stars."
I love stars, and hearing this unexpectedly made me feel at peace. I smiled, feeling relieved.
Before going to sleep, I reminded myself that we had to leave early the next day since I had school, and my parents had work at home.
The Return and Unexpected Emotions
On the way home, I kept recalling everything that had happened—the conversations, the feelings, and the way Aditya made me feel special.
When I finally reached home and entered my room, an unexpected sadness hit me. The empty room felt lonelier than ever. A soft breeze touched my face, making me realize that I was, once again, alone in this space. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I sat on my bed, feeling overwhelmed.
Just then, my friend Jasmine texted me.
Jasmine: "Are you going to school today?"
Talking to her helped me feel a bit better. I got ready and went to school. As soon as I saw Jasmine, I told her how Aditya comforted me the night before. She seemed happy to hear about him.
The Day Before My Birthday
On November 22, the day before my birthday, Aditya and I were having a casual conversation.
He suddenly said, "I want to see you."
I refused immediately. "If any of my family members or cousins see me with you, they will kill me."
Understanding my situation, he agreed.
Then, I asked him, "Do you know I can’t wait till midnight today?" expecting him to remember my birthday.
To my disappointment, he replied, "Why do you want to stay up till 12? Is there something special?"
I was filled with anger—he had forgotten my birthday! I simply replied, "No," and said goodnight at 11:30 PM because I was too sleepy to stay awake.
At 12 AM, my sister called to wish me, but I was so tired that I couldn't open my eyes properly. I decided to call her back the next morning.
My Birthday
On November 23, I woke up around 7:30 AM, feeling a bit sick, so I skipped school.
When I checked my phone, I saw that Aditya had sent me a long message, wishing me at 12 AM. I felt a little guilty for not replying immediately.
He also told me that he had received a new laptop from his parents.
Aditya: "It’s your birthday, but I got the gift!"
I replied, "What difference does it make whether the gift is for you or me? We are the same."
This simple message made him feel incredibly special. It was a proud moment for a boy who truly loved his girl.
Conclusion
Looking back, these moments made me realize how much love and attention can change a person. From being someone who enjoyed solitude, music, and window-gazing to experiencing warmth, care, and deep emotions—this journey with Aditya was something I never expected but deeply cherished.
