Journey to Egypt

" But I don't understand why you need to visit Egypt? " Jungwon's mother asked again the same question.

" Mom you don't realize my addiction towards Amarna. I won't be able to sleep if I didn't get my answers. There's so many things to find out and I have already talked with Professor K.L Aya. She has find out a structure where she and her team has found an earing which is of the same era as Amarna Kingdom. It could be King Taehyung's resting place! Their could be something more than  that too. She with her team are finding more clues. She allowed me to visit that place so I'm leaving. " Jungwon replied the same answer again while packing as fast as he can.

" OMG I still don't understand why are you doing this." Mrs. Jisa said while helping him pack.

" Mom I still don't know who framed Queen and what exactly happened with the King, who was Seokjin? , who was the mastermind behind all of this? , What did the Queen even did to get such a treatment from her own people? and so much more! My brain will explode if I don't reach to some conclusion. And I haven't even reached dead end yet. There are places where I can find my answers. I'm not giving up. I'll bring light to their story which everyone tried to hide. They didn't deserve that ending at all. It hurts so much to think that the man who devoted all his life for his kingdom lost his wife and spend his whole life as a captive. " Jungwon said with teary eyes. Since The day he read that book, he felt another connection with them. He decided that he won't abandon them the way everyone in their era did.

"Fine fine just come back safely and don't do anything which will risk your life. You are our only son, baby. " Mrs. Jisa said kissing his forehead. 

" Ok ok bye! I love you."

(After reaching Egypt)

" Ms. Aya? Hi, I'm Jungwon "

Aya looked ahead to find a young man and instantly recognised him. " Hi Jungwon! Welcome to Egypt. "

Jungwon passed a sweet smile to her and looked around.

" So how did Amarna captured your interest? " Aya questioned while taking him towards the site.

" I read their book and since then I'm feeling restless. I can't help but think about them all day long. Theirs too many questions and no one to answer. It's still baffling to me how theirs almost nothing about such an enigmatic kingdom. King Taehyung didn't deserved this. " Jungwon said while looking keenly at everyone.

" By the way, what are they doing? If you don't mind me asking? " Jungwon pointed at a group of people gathered together around a map.

" Oh we are guessing that maybe this isn't the only place where we can find something related to King. We still don't know where Queen's body is resting. So maybe if he stayed in this area then somewhere around here only queen's final resting place might be. So we are figuring out the possibilities. "  Aya explained him. She's impressed with Jungwon. Amarna isn't a topic people should choose for their final year research project as it's so risky. She herself didn't had the guts to do it.

" By the way why do you think that people tried to intentionally hide about King Taehyung? " Aya inquired

" What else could be the reason for having almost nothing about them in the pages of history? King Taehyung is a major part of Amarna Kingdom, his dad ruled the kingdom first then he and later on his younger brother. There's plenty of evidences, portraits about the first and last ruler but about King Taehyung and his Queen, how come their's not a single portrait of them? Scholars of ancient era surely played dirty and destroyed all evidences of them. It's like they never existed when King Taehyung was the one behind all the success of Amarna." Jungwon explained his guesses with a constant frown adoring his forehead.

" Maybe that could be their punishment for betraying the kingdom? " Aya suggested but Jungwon immediately disagreed with her. " Their's no way that couple can betray Amarna. The people of Amarna were dumb to believe those ministers or god knows who! "

" Chill kiddo. Kings and Queens weren't that clean how you think. Amarna was a big kingdom, you really think they achieved all that without dirtying their hands?

You're new so I'll guide you. It's not good for you to get attached with your topics. It certainly leads to you being biased for them. What if later on you really got to know that they were betrayers? Will you be able to handle that blow? Will you be able to criticise them? Have an open mind and be always on alert. " Aya explained him like her younger brother. She can see talent in him but that hot blood of young adults isn't meant for this profession. The sooner he understands will be better for him.

Jungwon was ready to oppose her but she beat him to that.

" We're here! "

Jungwon looked up and instantly felt his heart racing. He feels different kind of energy radiating from this place but when he looks around, it's like he's the only one who can feel it. Everyone else seems pretty normal.

" how could such a big structure be hidden from everyone for so many years? " Jungwon asked

" We're in the middle of the forest Jungwon. And it used to be much more bigger than what's in front of our eyes. This place could be King's secret hideout? Because there's no way he build this on his own after running away from Amarna. Go and look inside."

" He didn't ran away, he left or more precisely abandoned Amarna because what exactly thos people ever did for him?" Jungwon said showing his displeasure from the conversation and left without listening her reply.

He took a long breath to control his heart and stepped forward. No matter how old this place is, it still looks beautiful in his eyes.

He took his time and looked around everywhere, every brick and when he entered inside, this wasn't what he was expecting.

"This....is the Queen resting...here? " Jungwon said with confusion filled mind. His mind is too foggy since he came here.

" Not possible. We checked. You see that place near the tree? That's where we found that earing after digging for long. Could be King's or Queen's. " Aya's assistant said.

" Hi, I'm Robert! Ms. Aya's assistant. "

They shook their hands while Jungwon introduced himself to him.

" You know it's very saddening that such a good Queen is resting somewhere in this forest. " Robert said trying to start a conversation with him.

Jungwon sighed while saying " Atleast he had King by his side when he died. What about the King? Does he even have a resting place? He must be so lonely and depressed in his final stages of life. What did they even did to him? "

Robert glanced at Jungwon for few seconds before saying " You're too attached with his character. Even though Ms. Aya and we are studying about Amarna kingdom for 2 years, we haven't gotten attached with them. I just want to know what happened but you....you want to change what happened. Isn't it right? "

Jungwon didn't meet his eyes before simply shaking his head in negative.

" Where's the earing? Can I see it? "

" Sure! Follow me." Robert then guide Jungwon to one of the tents and took out the earing from the locker.

" I'm sorry to interrupt Mr. Robert but we need you here for a minute. " Daisy said and with that Robert left.

Jungwon was staring at the earing without blinking.

" Why is that blue pearl glowing? "

Jungwon brought his hand forward to touch it but the moment he touched,

he fainted.
