Quietly ......I miss you more than words can say. But I promise, I’ll make you proud. I’ll raise our children to remember your love, your strength… and one day, I’ll see you again. Until then, wait for me, my love.
He stood up, took a deep breath, and looked over at his children. Each one held a part of her in them, and he realized that they were his purpose now, his reason to keep going.
As he gathered his family, holding Yuria’s small hand in his, he felt a faint sense of peace. Mrs. Kim’s spirit would always be with them, guiding them, and reminding him that even in loss, there was love
Kim Family Home – Late Night, One Month Later]
It had been a month since Mrs. Kim’s passing. The days were long, and nights felt even longer. Yuria’s room was softly lit by a small nightlight, casting a warm glow, but even that couldn’t keep the nightmares away.
Inside Yuria’s Room
Yuria tossed and turned, her tiny body tense, her face twisted in distress as she relived the accident in her dreams. Suddenly, she jolted awake, gasping, her heart racing.

Whispering as he opened the door Yuria? Are you okay?
Yuria looked up to see her oldest brother standing by the door, worry etched on his face. Behind him were Se-hwan and Tae-sung, rubbing their sleepy eyes but ready to comfort her.

Trying to hide her tears I… I had another nightmare. Mommy… she… she was…
She couldn’t finish the sentence as her voice broke

The brothers made sure to be there whenever Yuria needed them. On nights like these, they would even sleep in her room, quietly keeping watch over her.
Living Room – The Next Morning]
Mr. Kim watched his children from the doorway as they sat together, Yuria nestled between her brothers. He knew how much they missed their mother, and he could see the pain each one was carrying in their own way. But he also saw their resilience, and how they found strength in one another.

To himself She’d be so proud of them… of how they’re taking care of each other.
[After Breakfast]
As the kids prepared to go about their day, Mr. Kim knelt down by Yuria, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Gently Yuria, I know it’s hard without Mommy here. But remember, you have us. And anytime you feel scared, we’re all right here
Yuria nodded, looking up at him with big, hopeful eyes.

Yuria managed a small smile, feeling a little lighter knowing her family was by her side.
[Later That Night – Yuria’s Room]
As Yuria climbed into bed, she glanced at the door and saw her brothers peeking in, ready to keep her company if she needed them. With a brave nod, she lay back, feeling safer knowing they were there.
Slowly, the Kim family began to heal, drawing closer each day. Though the pain of losing Mrs. Kim lingered, they found comfort in one another, learning to live with the memories that kept her spirit alive within them.
[Kim Family Home – A Quiet Afternoon]
The sun filtered through the curtains, casting soft shadows across the living room where Yuria sat on the floor, surrounded by toys.
looking at bracelet and necklace and thinking about yun-soo
A familiar name tugged at her heart—Yun-soo. She could almost picture his smile, but the details felt like wisps of smoke, slipping further from her grasp.

Murmuring to herself Yun-soo… where are you?
The thought made her frown. She loved Yun-soo, her first friend, but the memories of him were fading, replaced by the ache of loss she felt for her mother.
[Living Room – Later That Day]
Yuria wandered into the kitchen where Mr. Kim was busy preparing lunch. The aroma of simmering vegetables filled the air, a reminder of Mrs. Kim’s cooking. She hesitated, watching her father as he chopped and stirred, lost in his own thoughts

Timidly Daddy, do you think Yun-soo will come back?

… I don’t know, sweetheart. Sometimes things change, and people can move away. But you have your brothers and me. We’re here for you.
Yuria nodded but felt a pang of disappointment. She missed Yun-soo but didn’t know how to hold onto that feeling. It was easier to think about her brothers, who were always around.
[As Days Passed]
Days turned into weeks, and Yuria stopped asking about Yun-soo. She could still remember some moments—playing at the park, sharing ice cream—but those memories felt more like dreams now, blurring at the edges. The laughter and joy they once shared faded like echoes in the wind.
[Mr. Kim’s New Routine]
Meanwhile, Mr. Kim juggled managing the restaurant, keeping it running smoothly while also taking care of his children. He had stepped into his wife’s role with determination, ensuring that the restaurant maintained its reputation
People still came to reminisce about Mrs. Kim’s cooking, and he tried to keep her recipes alive

Talking to a regular customer I’m glad you’re enjoying the food. My wife always believed that love was the secret ingredient.
The customer nodded, eyes glistening with nostalgia
Despite the praises, Mr. Kim often found himself overwhelmed. Balancing the restaurant with his children’s needs proved challenging, but he managed to find a caring caretaker to help him.
[Introducing the Caretaker]
