Episode 4

My name is Alisa Garcia, I live with my aunt Clara because my parents live in a dangerous area and they couldn't have me with them to avoid putting me at risk. Since I was little, my aunt Clara has told me stories of sorcerers, vampires, and wolves. The latter greatly attracts my attention; I think that if they were real, they would be extraordinary creatures. As I grew up, my aunt taught me hand-to-hand combat, saying that a woman should know about self-defense to prevent a man from taking advantage of her.

I studied architecture. I love drawing and designing houses and buildings. I dream of designing and building my house where I would live with my aunt and my parents. I know I have siblings, but I can't see them because in that place, women are attacked too much, and that was another reason why I only live with my aunt. She is an excellent person; she taught me everything I know. Since I have memory, she made me learn a somewhat strange phrase, but every day she makes me repeat it so I don't forget it. Lately, I see her more tired, and no matter how much I ask her, she tells me that she is fine, but I know that she is not. She works in a pharmacy. For my part, I also looked for a job in a cafeteria because of my school schedule; it is a good place. I have been working here for 3 years. I have a friend named Pilar, she is a veterinarian. I met her in the cafeteria; she went every day, so we became friends. I introduced her to my aunt, and whenever we have the opportunity, we get together for coffee or I invite her home since my aunt does not allow me to visit other houses or sleep outside the house. Apart from helping my aunt with the expenses in the apartment, I have saved, and with Pili's help, I acquired a small house in the forest. I don't know why I love the forest, although my aunt doesn't let me go there, but I want a home. I love those kinds of places, although I am very sensitive to the cold, and that little house is in a fairly cold area. There is nothing that a good fireplace and a hot chocolate can't fix to warm up. I am a few months away from turning 21, and in that time I plan to tell my aunt about the little house that I am still paying for but to which I want to move. I know it is further away from the city, but as time goes by, something calls me to the forest.

I haven't told my aunt, but for months I have had the same dream every day. I am in the forest and in the distance I see a tall, strong man with brown hair. He turns to see me, but when I try to see his face, a huge wolf appears with honey-colored eyes and black fur. He doesn't scare me, but he just watches me and when I want to get closer he disappears, then I wake up. Every day that passes is the same dream, only I see them closer and closer to me.

Today I am going to an interview at an important construction company, so after my dream every day I say to myself

Alisa - Come on wolfie, what does it cost you to let me caress that fur?

I sigh and get out of bed to take a bath, then I realize that I forgot to buy clothes for the interview I have today, so I chose to wear black dress pants and a white blouse. It was a gift from my aunt a couple of months ago for my graduation. Once ready, I leave the room and see my aunt in the kitchen, but she is staggering. I run over.

Alisa - Aunt, are you okay?

Clara - Yes, yes, honey, just a dizzy spell.

Alisa - Let's go to the doctor, Aunt.

Clara - It is not necessary, honey, go and have breakfast or you will be late for your interview.

Alisa - But Aunt....

Clara - Go ahead, stop grumbling.

Alisa - Aunt, tell me what's wrong.

Clara - I'm fine, honey, go have breakfast, this will get cold and you need to get to the interview on time.

Alisa - Okay, but when I get back we will go to the doctor.

I started to have breakfast. When I finished, I went to brush my teeth and left the apartment. I walked a few blocks and took a bus that dropped me off at the corner of the company. The truth is that I was too nervous. I took several breaths and entered. I arrived at the reception and they sent me to the top floor. When I got out of the elevator, I saw several girls, all in dresses but somewhat vulgar. I took a seat when I received a message. It was Pili

"Good morning friend, what plans do you have for today?"

"Hello Pili, I am waiting for my turn for the interview at the construction company that I told you about."

"Tell me you didn't go to the Gerard construction company."

"Well yes Pili, it is a great company and an opportunity to grow."

"Grow? I already told you the fame that the owner has Alisa, be careful I will go with Aunt Clara I will wait for you there."

"Okay, see you there."

"Careful Alisa"

Something worried me and I felt a look on me, I looked up and there was a man, he was handsome but something in his eyes gave me chills, I saw how he smiled and entered an office, God that was the owner, my whole body reacted, Pili was right this was not right, when I got up to leave the secretary told me to enter the office I hesitated to enter but the girl said it again so I sighed and entered, the instant I was in that office my body did not stop having chills, he introduced himself so I did the same, I did not like the way he took my hand so I immediately withdrew it, he began to tell me what he could offer for the job I was answering when he stood up and stood behind me, he approached and asked me another question, I felt more chills and how my body tensed, he touched my brea#ts and immediately I stood up but he held my arm, being so close I gave him a knee and ran out of there, the available elevator was the staff's so I took it and went down, once down I ran out of there, luckily a taxi was stopping to drop off a passenger and I got in I took my hand to my chest and told him where to take me, after a while I received a message from Pili

"Alisa is your interview over?"

"I am on my way home in a taxi Pili"

"Tell him to take you to the central hospital"

"Hospital?, but what happened are you okay?"

"I am, it is Aunt Clara here I will wait for you"

God, but what had happened, I told the driver about the change of route and after a few more minutes we arrived, I paid and got out, I ran in and saw Pili in the middle of the hall.

Alisa - Pili, what happened to my aunt?

Pili - I don't know, when I got to your house she was on the floor so I called an ambulance, they have already admitted her and they are evaluating her.

Alisa - God, I should have brought her in the morning instead of going to that interview.

Pili - What happened? Did you get the job?

Alisa - You were right Pili, the owner is an exploiter, he touched my brea#ts.

Pili - What? You son of a bitch, if you want we will report him.

Alisa - And what evidence do I present? It is my word against his, besides I hit him.

Pili - What did you do what?

Alisa - He wouldn't let me leave the office so I kneed him and ran out.

Pili - Well done friend

Alisa - It's not something I'm proud of, but he deserved it.

Pili hugged me and we waited together for news of my aunt Clara.
