CH 4 Bloody Darkness

It is pitch black as if all sides were submerged in black ink. Red blood was pouring down on the gloomy darkness that no one could not even see an inch ahead.

He stood on top of the puddle of blood that was spreading, staring at her crouched. The red blood flowing under her feet is not enough to cover her feet and flows long and long to form a river.

Mumbled. It sounded like animal eating meat. There was also the sound of crackling bones. Beneath her large body, It's droopy, black fingers swayed finely to the sound. She was overcome with intense fear, guilt, and sadness.

Emotions that couldn't be described in words swirled in her stomach. It's like being immersed in a swamp or trapped in a fire. She tried to move her lips, but the words that hit her throat don't come out as a sound. What were she trying to say? Did she try to scream? Were she trying to yell at him to please stop? He did not know.

While hesitating, he saw the blood that had pooled under her feet climbed up her skirt and stained her body. Now she is red too.

'I… .'

She slowly turned her head at the sound of a moan she barely vomited. The two eyes of the ghost, covered in blood from head to toe, glisten in the dark. The lips are wet with dark red spots. The pieces of meat scattered at the feet. He licked his lips as he held the gruesome corpse with a hole in his chest. But those words did not become sounds and do not reach her ears. She woke up

“Whoa… .”

Exhaling a cold breath up to her neck, Soru rubbed her eyelids like a habit. In a dark world, as if trapped in a black shroud, a hazy shadow shakes like a haze.Whether she was still trapped in a dream, she patted her sweaty face and hands and feet to check for a while.

'Recently, dreams have been wild.' Maybe something bad is about to happen again. Her hands and feet were as cold as ice at the premonition. She rubbed her stiff fingers.

After some times, and when she stood up as heavy as cotton in water, a snake-like thing crawled next to her hand on the mattress.

Soru shuddered at the frosty cold touch. From somewhere, as if laughing at her, she heard a giggle of laughter. Soru, who knew well that showing her agitated appearance would make them more energetic, pretended not to be heard, and sat up with a blank face and stand up and folded the mattress. The ghosts that had been loitering nearby clicked their tongues as if they weren't interested and walked away. Like that she muttered,

"I'm just being pressed down by the power of evil spirits," concentrating on driving the strange anxiety out of her chest.

'As long as I keep quiet in this place, nothing bad will happen anymore. Haven't it been quiet for the past few years?

'But no matter how much I try to calm down, my heart seldom calms down. '

As if piercing through such an anxious mind, the laughter of the ghosts grew deeper. She bit her lip and covered her head with both hands. Sometimes she would rather shut her ears. Calling her name and talking to her were all monsters anyway. All that is in this dark world is their cold breath, their venomous laughter, and all sorts of ugly ridicule. She had to sit and listen to that cold clamor all day like a general. It felt like her mind was going crazy. No, she couldn't figure out why she was still sane. She lived like a dead corpse for many years in this pitch-black darkness without a single ray of light.

Why can't she reach Lost in a deep sense of helplessness, Soru squatted on her knees. She can hardly keep her mind at ease.

So she crouched down in the corner of the shrine and was idly, but suddenly she heard a non-ghost sound not so far . At the sound of those slow, indifferent footsteps, she barely raised her head. It seemed that the made came to give her water and food to wash every morning. The sound of footsteps approaching slowly like three times a day and then quickly moving away.

Although no one came through the door or spoke to her, the presence of living people's sound always reassured her. Soru sat with her back facing the door, holding her breath, so as not to frighten them. However, for some reason, the person who would have just pushed things through the half-open door and walked away always, stood still in front of the door and kept her silence for a long time. She asked what was going on and slowly turned her head.

“…Your highness follow me you have a place to go.”

She didn't know if the maid was talking to her, so Soru lost her mind for an instant. human voice. It wasn't the whispers she could hear from far away, but the sound of human words walking towards her from not so far. She didn't understand it right away, and dazed for a moment. The new girl rushes her to work.

“Hurry up, please.”

At that cold voice, Soru got up from her seat, trembling without even asking what was going on. As soon as she followed the maid and went out the door, people waiting outside followed her, standing to her left and right. It looked as if they were performing a kidnap

'… Could it be that the king finally decided to killl me?'
