Chapter 10

The introduction was going smoothly and then Luca's turn came.

"Hello everyone, my name is Lucas, i like football, playing games  and...thats pretty much all. I hope we can get along."

Everyone was smiling and then looked towards the teacher.

"Well, i guess is my turn now, guys. Anyway as i said before i am quite young. I just finished university so im 21. I have a hobby-more like an everyday thing- I love taking pictures. I was a student here and the high school across. And for this year im gonna be your teacher. Please feel comfortable sharing with me whatever you want, i will take your secrets to my grave. Y-you can also skip the sir part, when we are in the classroom, no need for formalities here, its gonna be our safe space."

Eric got up and moved towards the whiteboard, he took his marker and wrote something.

"So guys, this is gonna be a small project, you can do it alone or with your deskmate. I want you to take your time and explore our school. You can write what you like or you dislike about it, if you feel like something is missing, anything you want. Also, Hope since you said you like pictures feel free to take as many as you want."

He gave her a warm smile and then sat on his chair. Hope was excited, it was a nice project and she could do what she loved, plus she could work with Lucas, since they are friends and deskmates.

"Hey Lucas do you want to work on this together?" She quitely asked him, hoping he would say yes.

"Oh my god, I was about to ask you. Sure i would love to, i also  want to see your pictures."

The classroom was filled with noise, but it was nice. The nervouness everyone felt when they first stepped inside vanished, the minute Eric spoke.

After a while the bell rang, and students started getting out of their classrooms. It was a big school so they didn't have a place to go. They were wandering around, exploring the place.

Hope and Lucas also got out of their classroom. They didn't go down though, they stayed on the first floor since everyone seemed eager to see the lower ground.

They walked and then they were in front of the library. It was kinda old but neat at the same time. It had all kinds of books, from different languages to different cultures of the world. Both of the them felt comfortable in there, it was quiet and no one seemed interesting in the library plus they were the only ones that had their class in the upper floor.

"It can be our secret place." Lucas said, waiting for an answer.

Hope was a little hesitant."Is it even allowed to be here? Though its kinda nice"

She walked in front of a self and took a book out.

"I must say that their library is the best. I have never seen so many interesting books."

Lucas chuckled.

" So you do want to be here huh? It's okay no one will come here."

She then turned to him with a smile and nodded happily. It was decided that this would be their "hideout" as Lucas said.
