In the dark attic, Eleanor was rummaging through her old stuff when the door suddenly got locked. Eleanor gasped, rushed to the door and banged on it. "Argh, Katrina! Rupert! Let me out! This is the 27th time you've done this to me!"
Katrina and Rupert, outside the door, just laughed and ran away, leaving their adopted sister behind. Eleanor was already used to this but she's just upset that she'll have to wait another 2 hours before their Mother comes back home from her work and gets her out of there. To satisfy her boredom, she looked around and saw a big box. She has never seen that box before, probably because she wasn't really paying attention, so curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box. As she peeked inside, she saw the amount of pictures of a beautiful girl who seemed to be a celebrity based on the pictures. She then saw that in each picture, the same name is written on it.
"Celine Janesville...?" Eleanor mumbled to herself. She looked at the golden bracelet on her wrist. "We are both Janesville, who is she?"
She looked at more and more of it and one specific picture caught her attention. "February 25, 2011, Celine Janesville's date of death at the raw age of 13? What? But that's my birthday."
The door suddenly opened and there was Julia, she picked up Eleanor and brought her to her bedroom. "Honey, I'm so sorry your siblings always lock you in the attic, I'll make it up to you, I promise." Before Eleanor could even speak, Julia already turned off the lights and left the room. As soon as she did, she frowned at her biological children and screamed at them.
"What has gotten into your minds to even think about locking up your sister like that countless times!?"
"But Mom, we were just fooling around!" Katrina pleaded.
Julia's blood boiled as she heard that excuse. "Fooling around? Locking up your sister until I come back home is called fooling around!? Well, let me show you what is fooling around! Go to your room and don't leave until I say so!"
Katrina was about to yell back but Rupert patted her shoulder, calming her and just went inside their room. As they got inside, Katrina sat on her bed and sobbed. "I really hate that Mom has to love Eleanor more than us. Why does she have to do this? Doesn't she care for us?"
Rupert sighed. "I don't know, Kat, but we have to do something about it."
They both thought for a while until Katrina stood up with a wicked grin on her face. "What if we set her up and make up a fake story to tell Mom about? That way, Mom would hate Eleanor and love us instead."
"What? No, Katrina! Yes, I'm envious of the amount of love and care Eleanor receives from Mom but I would never actually do anything to make Mom hate her just so she would give us more love and care than she usually does!" Rupert said back.
Meanwhile, Julia opened Eleanor's bedroom door and got inside. She smiled sweetly at the child. "How are you, my darling?"
"I'm good, Mom." Eleanor smiled. "I just have a question." She added.
"Oh? Sure, what is it that you want to know, sweetheart?"
"Who is Celine Janesville?"
Julia paused as soon as she heard that. She looked away. "Well, she was a worldwide famous Ice Skater Celebrity back in the 2000s-2010s. She was really famous and successful until she passed away, sadly, in 2011 due to an unknown reason. Why are you asking me this?"
"Mom, why does she look like me? Why do we have the same surname? Who is she, really?"
"I don't know, hon, maybe it's just a coincidence." Julia smiled awkwardly as she tucked Eleanor back to bed. "Make sure to get a lot of sleep, my dear Lea."
"Of course, I love you."
"I love you more."
Julia closed the door and as soon as she made sure that Eleanor was already sleeping, she dialed a number with her cellphone, put the phone in her ear and muttered the words "She already knows about her Mother."
