chapter4: Secrets

Ash smiled and said:" well your not wrong about that. I guess you can say im dead." Raven held eye contact with Ash saying:" So your a vampire?" Ash took a step back asking:" Scared yet?" Raven smiled:" Why would i be scared. If you wanted to do anything to me you would've along time ago. Not only that but i can feel that I'm safe with you." Ash's face glowed up by hearing those words but than said:" I wouldn't be so sure, im still trying to control myself. If you had a cut right now i don't think i would of been able to stop myself, after all your blood is even more pure than anyone else." Raven looked at Ash and felt a warming in her heart that's how she knew she could trust him. Ash could here her heart pounding and smiled by hearing that it was steady and calm. A moment went by until Raven and Ash started walking back to the house. Raven asked to know about the history of vampire and werewolfs so he started explaining:" As you know we are blood drinkers, we can make it a fun time for the person or a bitter and swor time. Some vampires make their target high like on a trip when piercing our fangs in a persone. So that way they're happy and were happy but others want to hear the screams and have a chase. When up against another vampire or  something we use our speed and strength to fight, or an easy way is to bite into their neck and release poison almost like a snake. Only way to survive the poison is by having another vampire sicking it out. Although there is a chance of draining the person of there blood. But with a werewolf it's different. If a vampire poison a wolf they wil first get a fever, then the mark will turn black and start moving through the vines. Only cure for that is the blood of the same vampire that bit him. Same goes for us if a werewolf bites us. We need their blood to heal it. Other than that we can be killed with silver blade to the heart, other wise we only heal of the struck. Sunlight is not really a problem unless you don't have a ring that was made by a witch for you. Oh and yes we do sleep at night and can eat human food. And thats about it i think." By this time Ash and Raven was in the house on the second floor:" And this door here is yours. I think thats enough story's for one night, I'll see you tomorrow morning." He turned and walked 3 doors away from her's and went into the last room on the floor. Raven opend her door and stepped inside. It was warm with bright cheerful colours, she had her own bathroom with a shower,  a study table, a book shelf, wardrobe and a dubble bed. Raven decided to take a warm shower. After she climbed into the bed, it was as soft as feathers. She almost immediately fell asleep.

The next morning Ace came downstairs and saw Blake sitting in the kitchen eating bacon and eggs. Ace looked around and asked:" Is Rave still sleeping ?" Blake looked at Ace and said in his morning voice:" That or she ran away." Ace clared at Blake in anger and said:" Because you love making jokes you will be the one waking her up." Blake looked at Ace and stood up with anger. He went to Ravens door and nocked 3 times. There was no answer. Blake stood there and closed his eyes. He could here Ravens heart beat and her breathing pattern. Only from that he knew she was safe and still sleeping. Blake went back to the kitchen and told Ace that Raven was still asleep. After a while Ash came downstairs and joined them in the kitchen. Ace started saying:" I won't be here today, have to help some people out of town. I leave the meeting Raven in your hands, make sure she's safe and be nice. Im talking to you Blake." Ace left the house and Blake rolled his eyes. Ash looked at him and said:" She's not that bad you know. You don't have to be friends with her just be polite." Blakes piercing cold eyes locked with Ash's and then he stood up and left saying:" I don't want anything to do with this. Btw she's awake." Ash sighed and started making breakfast. Soon Ravne came downstairs and sat in the kitchen. Ash gave her breakfast and she thanked him. Later on Raven went into the garden for fresh air. She sat at the river and watched as it flowed with fish swimming in it. She took a deep breath and felt the gentle wind againts her. Everything was still and calm. Raven lied back on the grass and dozed off. But suddenly she felt an un easy feeling forcing her to sit up straight. Coming from the woods was her mother looking beautiful as ever. Raven stood up and felt relieved until everything turned into nightfall and her mother grabbed onto her arms saying:" Find the truth i know you can. A baby bird always spread their wings." Her mother was torn from Ravens arms, Raven couldn't talk or scream no Matter how hard she tried. Suddenly she gave a big gasp as she sit up straight. Raven found her self in the garden by the river. Her heart was pounding crazy. She took deep breaths and felt a presence of someone. She turned around still shaking from the dream, in the tree she saw Blake standing and looking at her. Their eyes locked and it felt like he was staring into her soul. Suddenly Blake jumped out of the tree and walked towards the house without a word.

Night time came and Raven was sitting on the couch watching a movie. The front door opened and Ace stepped in. He saw Raven on the couch and walked towards her asking:" May i sit and talk to you for a moment?" Ravens body went tense with anger but she agreed. Je sat beside her and started talking:" Tomorrow you will attend the same school as Blake and Ash. You will have a private teacher to help you with your classes. This school is designed for all supernatural beings. Thats why Blake and Ash will be there to protect you, because some of the students will want to harm you. But if you're not up to it than we can arrange for you to be homeschooled."Raven sighed and said;" I'll be fine. Now my turn to talk. Why did you leave and why are their people after me?" Ace sat back saying:" Our father wants to use you for a weapon and mothers death was because of him. I left to get stronger so that i can protect you." Raven fell silent with disbelief and softly asked:" Our father?"Raven never knew her father nor disyanyone talk about him. So hearing her saying what he said was a shock. Ace stood up and said:" I'll see you tomorrow morning, and thanks for hearing me out." Raven looked at Ace and replied:" I didn't do it for you, i did it for mom." Ace gave a fake half smile and went up stairs to his room. Short after Blake came in to tthe living room and said :" Give him a break. He did it for you." With that Blake went outside the house. Raven sat on the couch with mixed emotions and confusement. Suddenly she stood up and walked after Blake. She followed him until they reached the river. Blake turned around and Raven ask:" What did you mean by that?" Blake laughed sarcastically and said:" Are you really as stuped as you look?" Raven was offended by the statement:" Excuse you, how dare you call me stupid, you don't even fucking know me." Blake looked at her with anger and stepped closer:" I know more about you than you think. If you ise your head you would remember."

"Remember what?" Blake realized that Raven really don't know what he was talking about:" Wait you really don't remember?" Raven looked at him confused. Blake stared at Raven and finally said:" Forget it, you'll remember when the time is right." Blake pulled his hoodie's cap on his head and walked to the river. As Raven tried to follow him determined to find out what he meant, Blake jumped over to the other side of the river. The strength of the jump was so powerful that Raven stopped in her tracks. She couldn't figure out what he was. After a while she returned to her room. Just as she reached the door Ash came out of his room:" Hey where were you?" Raven told him the hall story of what Blake said and suddenly Ash's eyes darkened with anger, just then Blake came walking up the stairs. Ash grabbed him by his shoulders and pushed Blake against the wall so hard it mad a dent:" What the fuck is wrong with you? You just had to go and be a smart ass." Ash yeld at Blake and he pushed Ash away from him and pointed at Ash:" Touch me again and I'll make sure your dead for good you blood sucker. How the fuck was i suppose to know." Ash was about to attack Blake again but Ace came in between:" What the hell! Ash, my office now. Blake, go to your room." Blake and Ash looked like they wanted to cut each other necks but they did as Ace said. Ace glanced at Raven before going to the 3de floor were his office was. Raven was more confused than ever but shw decided to go to bed.

Meanwhile Blake was in his room angry as hell. He took a deep breath and sat on his bed. Blake took a framed photo from his bed side table and looked at it. In the picture was Blake when he was a little boy around 6 and standing beside him was a little girl, Raven.

Raven woke from her slumber, responding to her alarm going off. She rose from her bed and went for a shower to wake her up. Raven put on a black crop top with blue jeans and nike shoes. Her hair was in a messy bun with 1 thin braided hair string. Raven went downstairs and found Ace, Blake and Ash in the kitchen. Ash looked at her and smiled. Raven sat down beside Ace:" Good morning. Are you ready for the day?" Ace asked while Ash handed Raven a cup of steaming coffee:" As ready as i can be i gauss." Ace smiled and continued eating breakfast. Blake Ash and Raven made their way outside to a car and got in. The car drove deeper into the woods away from the house, Raven couldn't help but feel a little scared. Ash picked up that Raven's heart was racing and he put is hand on her shoulder:" No need to stress me and Blake will be their with you." He could hear her heart beating slower. Raven took a breath and relaxed. After a hour or two they arrived at a building looking like a haunted castle. They got out the car and made their way toward the office. Raven could see everyone was staring at her. At the office Raven met her mentor and from there Blake, Ash and Raven went in different directions. Raven learned about different witches and their powers. After they went out side the building on a field:" Here you will physically use your powers and grow with it. Today i want you to create a shield." The mentor showed Raven how to create a shield and so Raven started. She tried and tried but nothing. Blake was sitting under a tree observing Raven. After the 5th they took a 5min break. Raven was sweating from the striking sunlight on her. Blake walked towards Raven saying:" Struggling much?" Raven looked at Blake and said:" If your here just to talk shit than you can leave." Blake sighed:" Your trying to hard. You must feel the air around you. Try taking a breath and listen to your surroundings." Raven looked at Blake hesitantly but she took a deep breath and closed her eyes . Feeling the breeze against her skin and listening to the sound of the wind:" Now picture a void surrounding you, see the colour, listen to the sound it makes, feel it." Blake whispered into her ear. Raven opend her eyes and stretch her arm to the sides saying:" Spirit shielding." Her eyes started to glow as a pure white void started forming around her . The metor saw this and stood infront of Raven. After a few seconds the barrier disappeared and Raven fell to her knees trying to catch her breath. The mentor clapped her hand being impressed and said:" Good job, now we're going to do it one more time than after start working on its strength and how long it holds." Raven could feel her power was half drained, she turned around to thank Blake but he was no where to see.

As Raven was on her way to the car after school she felt uneasy. Suddenly she got hit from behind and almost fell over from dizziness but catched herself. Raven turned around and saw 2 guy's and one woman. She could feel the coldness of death from them but also the lust for blood.
