A Betrayal Is Served Sweet
Chapter 1
What was the biggest dream for an orphan? To have a home. I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world when my parents found me and took me back. But things took a different turn when I saw a girl of my age dressed like a princess, standing at the front door waiting for my parents and calling them daddy and mummy.
It's been over 16 years since then, I had thought I had won, that I would finally be... happy?. But it seemed like God had other plans for me, because since the day I arrived here, I have felt nothing but suffering and betrayal from the ones who were meant to be my family.
And today was no different...or so I thought
Eve
Hey! Sheena, come over here"
I was in mine and my husband's bedroom, laying down on the bed reading a book, when I heard my 'sister' call for me. At first, I didn't want to answer nor talk to her. But I knew my husband would be angry at it.
Sheena
So with the needed amount of energy I responded with a "Yes!?"
Eve
"You should learn how to respond on time pig! Now come here!"
She sounded mad for whatever reason, it was not too far off from her usual self.
Taking in a deep breath, I closed the book that I had been reading, putting on the table next to the bed. I slowly remove the blankets, sitting on the side of the bed stretching my arms before I get up and put on my indoor shoes.
I began walking towards the door, making my way to the kitchen, where she had called me from.
But for some reason I had this uneasy feeling, like my life would end if I continue?
But I laid off the thoughts, thinking it might just be my imagination of me not liking her.
Entering the kitchen, I saw my husband Andrew and... her Eve, both were standing opposite of each other. With Andrew standing by the window, drinking a cup of tea? Maybe it was coffee? I couldn't see it well.
Eve on the other hand, was standing by the fridge With her back against it, her arms crossed. with a smile on her face, in a mocking way.
Feeling a bit uneasy on what to say, I asked them
Sheena
You guys wanted something?
The silence that followed was suffocating, it felt like I would be killed if I answered wrongly. I was standing awkwardly at the door waiting For Either of them to respond to me, but nothing. for a few minutes, we stood like that, with no one saying anything. Feeling as if I was called for no reason, I decided to excuse myself
Sheena
Well, if you both have nothing to say then, I'll go back to my bedroo-
Eve
"Shut it pig! That will no longer be your bedroom from today onwards"
Eve who had been silent this whole time, spoke up in an angry voice. It wouldn't be the first time I have heard it, but I still Hadn't expected her to be this angry. had I done something to offend her?
Sheena
"What do You mean by that Eve? you know that bedroom is mine and Andrew's right"
Eve
"didn't You hear me when I said it the first time? you need me to repeat it for you to understand? Andrew is no longer yours, He has decided to divorce you and married me~"
Sheena
"What…. no.. You're lying! Andrew would never do that!! Right Andrew!? You love me right..."
Andrew
".... It's True Sheena, I have decided to leave you for Eve. It's nothing personal, I just never truly loved you nor will I ever will "
Every word he said broke my heart by peace, it was as if it was being torn apart from the inside out. with that, I fell to the floor, my legs that carried me throughout my hardships couldn't' support me anymore, it felt like the weight of the world was on my back. I wanted to cry, but I knew I couldn't. With this baby I was carrying...

Andrew
"What do you mean by that?"
He seemed so calm about it, like none of this matter to him
Sheena
Why do you always favor her over me! Was I really not enough for you? Am I a toy for you to use and throw out when you are done with it?"
I sounded like a lost dog looking for its owner, the stress of it all was starting to get to me, My eyes felt heavy, as it they wanted to go for a long nap
Looking around, I couldn't find Eve anywhere, it was just me and Andrew. Had she left? But to where?
Andrew
Huh, you couldn't have put it anymore perfectly then that
Andrew
Shut up, I never said you could speak did I? "
Andrew
Good, now do yourself a favor and disappear"
Before I could even respond to what he said, I felt something hard hit me on the back of My head. My vision started becoming blurry, I could barely see Andrew in front of me. And the blood flowing down my neck.
Those were the only things I could remember, before I black out.
It was hours later when I finally woke up in an alleyway, I barely had any energy to move let alone stand up. I stayed there for hours on end,, and in that time period, I examined myself, and found out I had been tortured to some degree, with bruises all over my body.
I had already lost the Will to live, so for two whole days I stayed there without moving, people didn't even stop to see if I were okay or not, thinking I was another homeless person on the streets. I couldn't blame them for thinking so, for I was one of them now and soon I'll meet my end... until
