Episode 6

Mrs. Romlah cooked a lot today because someone was coming to visit. She was one of Mrs. Romlah's distant nieces, Purnama. Mrs. Laras, Purnama's mother, was still Mrs. Romlah's cousin, so automatically Purnama was her niece. Even though they were not close relatives, their relationship was quite close to each other.

Today, she said she wanted to come because she missed Mrs. Romlah's cooking, which was indeed very delicious. She also knew everything about Purnama, so she sometimes warned her children not to speak carelessly. Novan and his younger sister were also not naughty, in fact, his younger sister was close to that woman.

Norma always wanted to be close to Purnama because she admired her. Her relationship with Purnama could be said to be cousins because Purnama was the niece of her mother, Mrs. Romlah. Coincidentally, today Purnama came alone without inviting her husband so it was easier to talk with the beautiful Purnama.

Zidan, Purnama's husband, was also a good person, but she felt awkward because he was a fairly religious person. Even his title in the village was an ustad, while Norma was still not wearing a hijab so there was a sense of shame in the girl's heart. Luckily he didn't come today.

"Eat a lot, later Auntie will wrap some for your husband too," said Mrs. Romlah very happy.

"If I could cook this taro stem, I wouldn't bother you, Auntie!" Purnama said while chewing.

"Mom's cooking is the best, Sis! That's why you often ask her to cook," Norma also joined in eating.

"You're just lazy to cook, that's why you often use my name as an opportunity." Purnama pointed at Norma with a spoon.

"Yes, right. Look, if she hears that you're coming, she'll definitely cook all kinds of things." Norma stared at the table full of food.

"Yes, you see what she brings when she comes, one car full of that she borrows." Mrs. Romlah pulled her daughter's ear.

Purnama just laughed while enjoying the very delicious food, of course, she did not come empty-handed because she had bothered people, she brought various groceries for her aunt as a thank you for being willing to cook for her who was lazy to cook.

"Where's Novan, Auntie?" asked Purnama because she hadn't seen him since earlier.

"He's always like that, he just got back from the city so he must be visiting Diana!" Mrs. Romlah got annoyed again.

"Who's Diana?" Purnama was confused.

"Novan has a girlfriend named Diana, whatever she asks for is always given, even when the rice is harvested, more is given to his girlfriend's family," Norma said excitedly.

"I've advised him not to spend too much on his girlfriend, if necessary just marry her so that all her needs are covered by Novan because it's already his responsibility," Mrs. Romlah was really annoyed.

"Sis, just wait and see, when Mas Novan comes home, he'll be like he's under a spell," Norma said.

"Yes, honey! Maybe Novan is really under a spell by that girl, how come he always gives everything she asks for." Mrs. Romlah was already very uncomfortable with her son's relationship.

It turned out that Novan came home after meeting Diana, a smile bloomed on his lips because he was very happy to have made his lover happy, he would do anything so that Diana could be happy and not ask to break up. He was really afraid of losing the beautiful girl, even though this village was not short of girls.

"Oh, there's Sis." Novan didn't know Purnama had arrived.

"Yes, I just arrived," Purnama nodded, staring intently at Novan.

"Well, then just eat, I want to take a shower first," Novan excused himself.

The young man hurried into the room because it was almost Maghrib, the call to prayer would be heard soon so he quickly took a shower to cleanse himself. Purnama had seen him and she felt that the young man's body was clean, there was nothing wrong with it.

"Have you seen it?" Mrs. Romlah asked impatiently.

"There's nothing wrong with his body," Purnama answered honestly.

"Really, Sis? But why does he love Diana so much!" Norma didn't believe it.

"Yes, it could be that it's Novan who is very passionate about loving his partner, it doesn't mean he's under a spell by that girl," Purnama explained.

"Auntie also wouldn't mind if he had a relationship with anyone, but why is it that he wants to give everything to Diana," Mrs. Romlah complained.

Purnama still seemed to be thinking and she didn't see anything strange in Novan's body at all, but why did he look so whipped in the stories of his mother and sister, maybe it was really just his love that was so big and sincere for the beautiful girl that he was willing to sacrifice anything for her.

...****************...

Clang!

Deni was angry and threw the glass he had just used to drink from when Diana came home at eleven o'clock at night, escorted by someone else, not Novan, her boyfriend whom she had been dating for a long time. It could even be said that almost seventy percent of Novan's wealth had been taken by his younger sister.

"What the hell is this, Sis?!" Diana was a bit scared now seeing Deni's anger, even Mrs. Hasnah was shaking.

"Are you crazy, Diana! Who is that man who took you home this late?" Deni stared at Nadia very angrily.

"He's my friend, we went out earlier and he wanted to take me home," Diana replied.

"Where's Novan, does he know that you were escorted by that man?!" Deni, as a man, of course knew how it felt to have his lover escorted by another man.

"He... he..."

"You can't answer, can you?! You must be cheating on him with that man, you shameless whore!" Deni snapped in fury.

"Deni, watch your mouth!" Mrs. Hasnah certainly didn't want Deni to curse her sister like that.

"Mother, stay out of it! Diana has crossed the line, after she spent all of Novan's money, now she's cheating on him with someone else," Deni said angrily.

Mrs. Hasnah approached her daughter who didn't move due to fear of Deni's extraordinary anger. This was the first time Deni had gotten this angry.

"Is it true that you're cheating on Novan with that man, Diana?" Mrs. Hasnah approached her daughter.

"I-I was just hanging out with him, Mom," Diana stammered.

"Please take care of my behavior, Diana! Our family would be so embarrassed if you cheated on Novan," Mrs. Hasnah pleaded earnestly.

Deni's eyes suddenly caught sight of the cellphone in his sister's hand, at a glance he knew it was an expensive item and Diana certainly wouldn't have the money to buy it.
