Maeve follows Xander to his office.

"Take a seat." Xander says, pointing at the chair in front of his desk with his hand. Maeve did as told, still with embarrassment in her eyes. "S-sir... I'm really sorry for being disrespectful before, I thought you are a new worker and I didn't even bow..." Maeve says hesitantly with her head down. "I told you before, it's fine. I called you here for some new files to work on." Xander says, putting 2 thick files on his desk. Maeve let out a sigh of relief, turns out Maeve have been holding her breath unknowingly since she sits down.

Maeve herself always cares about her works. She never made a mistake before and is always kind to her workmates. Even tho she secretly hates some of them, but she didn't want to cause any trouble.

"Is everything fine?" Xander words snaps Maeve back to reality. The whole time, Maeve was wandering in her thoughts and didn't respond to Xander. "Y-yes, sir. I'll work on the files now." She says, grabbing the files on his desk. "Good. You may leave." Xander says, leaning back on his chair. "Okay... Thank you sir." Maeve says, standing up and walking towards the door before getting out of Xander's office, closing the door carefully behind her.

The second Maeve gets out of Xander's office, she feels way lighter and quickly takes some breaths. It feels too tense, narrow and congested that it took her breath away.

Maeve went back to her desk feeling light. Upon arriving at her desk, she leans back against the chair and sigh while putting the files on her desk. "Gurll... What happened? Did he ask you out? Did you guys start dating?!" Wynter's questions make Maeve narrow her eyes, her face showing signs that she's annoyed. "Stop with those weird and nonsense questions, I swear. He gave me 2 more files to work on, that's all."

"Ohhh…" And Wynter just laugh it off as if it was nothing.

Just like that, they continue with their own works.

Maeve stands up from her desk and stretch her arms, feeling tired. Wynter yawns and also stands up. "Today is Sir Alex's last day as our CEO… I'm going to miss him." Wynter nod in agreement with Maeve's statement. "I'm so damn tired". Maeve scoffs, "So am I".

"Anyway we have to attend the party. I heard there'll be pizzas and wines. Even beers! You're going to drink today, right?"

"Yea, probably. It's been a while since I drank." Maeve responds.

"Good, so Sir Xander can take care of you in case you're drunk." Wynter says, smirking in a teasing manner.

"WTH?!"

"Hey!! I'm not joking, I heard Sir Xander is also REALLY caring~ Besides, I ship you with him."

"I'm so done with you…." Maeve says, rolling her eyes.

Today's party is only for the seniors, since the junior workers have a huge project coming up. The junior workers will be getting gifts and pizzas at their cafeteria instead of a party.

Maeve saw the juniors lining up at their cafeteria for the gifts and pizzas, Maeve gags, noticing how many pizzas and gifts is there.

The seniors are lining up to go out of the office building, The party will be arranged at a huge 4-Star Michelin restaurant that can fit all the senior workers.

"Maeve, aren't you proud? You're the first one to interact personally with Sir Xander~"

"Oh shut up!"

Wynter just responds with a chuckle. Honestly as an introvert, Wynter is 24/7 calm and barely interacts with people. But... When it comes to shipping her besties, she's always active.

All the seniors finally arrived. They're all separated by the floor, because of the huge amount of worker. Just like a supportive bestie, the universe seem to also ship Maeve x Xander. Yes, Maeve got to sit at the SAME TABLE with her new CEO, Xander. At that table, there's only Xander, Alex, Maeve, Wynter, and 2 more workmates. The expensive pizzas have finally arrived, the workers devour them in a matter of minutes. It's time for the thing that the workers have been waiting for, beer and wine. Especially Wynter, because she's a heavy drinker. Maeve don't know why, but she can feel her heart pounding when she accidentally made eye contact with Xander while holding her glass of wine. Her eyes is wandering at Xander's attractive hand, that's also holding a glass of wine in a somewhat attractive way with metal and silver rings wrapped around his fingers. Maeve know damn well Xander is not married yet, he use rings just as a style purpose. Maeve know Xander have amazing taste in style, because his metal jewelries goes so well with his formal and cool pants and tie.
