It happened by mistake—perhaps a cruel joke by the universe. A rift opened between the two realms, causing Azel and Lyra to collide in a dark space between their domains. Both reached for a stray soul that did not belong to either realm, only to find themselves face-to-face.
Azel regarded Lyra with a cold, calculating gaze. Her fiery hair fell like rivers of molten lava, and her eyes blazed like twin suns caught in eclipse. She looked dangerous. Beautiful, but dangerous.
Lyra smirked. “I didn’t think the Underworld God ever left his dusty gates.”
“And I didn’t think Hell needed a queen to keep its chaos in check,” Azel retorted, his voice low and smooth like a whispering shadow.
For a moment, neither spoke. They were opposites in every sense—fire and night, chaos and silence. And yet, in that shared moment, something shifted. An invisible thread pulled them closer, though neither dared admit it aloud.
