LEO:

(worried) Perth, I don't think you should go. It's too risky.

PERTH:

(determined) I have to, Leo. I need to know what's going on.

LEO:

(firmly) Then I'm coming with you.

PERTH:

(hesitant) No, Leo. He said come alone.

LEO:

(emphatically) I don't care what he said. I'm not letting you go alone.

Perth smiles, grateful for Leo's loyalty.

PERTH:

(resolute) Alright then. Let's do this.

As night falls, they make their way to the old oak tree in the park, their hearts pounding with anticipation and fear.

FADE OUT.

PERTH:

(firmly) Leo, I need you to stay back and watch from a distance. I can't risk anything happening to you.

LEO:

(reluctantly) Fine, but if anything goes wrong, I'm coming in.

Perth nods and heads towards the old oak tree, his heart racing with anticipation. Leo watches from a distance, his eyes fixed on Perth's figure.

As Perth approaches the tree, Arises steps out of the shadows, a mysterious smile spreading across his face.

ARISES:

(leaning against the tree) Well done, Perth. You're brave to come alone.

PERTH:

(calmly) What do you want from me?

ARISES:

(eyes gleaming) Oh, I think you know. You're starting to figure it out, aren't you?

Perth's eyes narrow, his mind racing with questions.

FADE OUT.

ARISES:

(sneering) Ah, Leo. The loyal friend. How touching.

Leo's eyes are wide with fear as he's unable to move, suspended in mid-air by Arises' magic.

PERTH:

(desperate) Please, Arises, don't hurt him! He has nothing to do with this.

ARISES:

(amused) Oh, but he does. You see, Perth, you two are connected in ways you can't even imagine.

Perth's eyes plead with Arises as he takes a step forward, his hands raised in a calming gesture.

PERTH:

(imploring) Whatever it is, just tell me. Don't hurt Leo.

ARISES:

(leaning in) Very well. The truth is...you two are twin souls. And I'm the one who's been searching for you.

Leo's eyes widen in shock as Arises' magic releases him, and he falls to the ground, gasping for breath.

PERTH:

(stunned) Twin souls? What does that even mean?

ARISES:

(serious) It means you two are destined for something greater. Something that could change the course of history.

FADE OUT.

ARISES:

(walking closer)

Perth, Perth, Perth...didn't you realize? You've only known Leo for a month, and yet you feel a connection with him that's stronger than most people experience in a lifetime. Don't you think that's a little...unusual?

PERTH:

(hesitant)

I...I guess so. But I can't explain it. It just feels...right.

ARISES:

(nodding)

Exactly! And that's because your connection with Leo goes far beyond this lifetime. You two have a history that spans centuries.

LEO:

(incredulous)

Centuries?! You mean like...past lives?

ARISES:

(smiling)

Perth and Leo exchange a look, both thinking the same thing: this is getting crazier by the minute.
