Stage 2 of the Exams

"We're here" Gildart says as he continues, "This is where Stage 2 of the exams is going to commence"

"Wow, the place is so big" the contestants said as they were amazed by the wonderful site of the building.

"Let's go in, we don't have much time" Gildart said as he walked into the building.

"Wow, the inside is massive!" a contestant said.

"Yeah, what do you think is inside?" Another continues as the rest starts making guesses.

On the other hand, Kazuko, Mitsuki, and Asahu were listening in on Yami and Natsu's conversation.

"What do you think is inside?" Yami asked.

"Well Yami, I think we are going to be fighting powerful beasts" Natsu said.

"And why did you say that?"

"Well it's simple really, why else would they make a facility this big?"

"Hmmm, that makes sense, because this hall is way too big for only humans"

"Exactly, that's why I think we would be fighting gigantic beasts" Natsu said in sadness.

The instructor then stopped and faced the contestants saying.

"Everyone gather round, for Stage 2, you all would be fighting beasts. You would be split into two groups, the first group are those who are aspiring to become Adventurers, and the second are those who are aspiring to be Hunters" he says as they all came together and started moving to the place the exams would hold.

"Now, as you all know, Adventurers are people who find valuable things and bring them back, either to sell them, or keep them for themselves. Most adventurers move in groups that they call party, due to the fact that most of them are not that strong when it comes to fighting beasts. And sometimes the Adventurers recruit a few Hunters to make the group strong"

"Meanwhile, Hunters are those people who battle monsters, their major jobs are to fight and kill beasts, and most times they move on their own. Only a few Hunters have a group and unlike the Adventurers, they most times protect people from beasts"

"Just so you know, Adventurers are explorers who discovers new things, and Hunters are fighters who protect the people from beasts, it's that simple"

"So for this exams, you all are going to play the role of the profession you want to become"

"For the Adventurers, your job is to find valuable items or things that may look new to you, in other words, we have placed artifacts for you to find in a limited amount of time. Oh and by the way, some items are protected by beasts and some are just very hard to find. Now your mission is to find those items and carry them to the safe zone, again, in a limited amount of time, so you have to be quick about it"

"Sir please, how much time do we have to find the items?" one of the contestants asked interrupting Gildart.

"Can you let me finish my explanation at least" Gildart replies him with a face full of rage.

"As I was saying, the Adventurers will all enter at the same time, in other words, you're competing with each other to find a limited amount of items in a limited time"

"And for the Hunters, your exams will be different. Normally you all are to start a few minutes later, after the Adventurers have finished, but we don't have time for that"

Immediately Gildart said this, they all looked at him with a strange face as they all thought the same thing, "He always says that and it's starting to get annoying"

Gildart didn't notice their facial expression as he continued speaking, "Since we don't have enough time for that, you all would start the exams at the same time. Oh and before I forget, you Hunters are going to be fighting the beasts solo"

"What!!!" The contestants screams.

"Let me finish before you make any comments, if not your disqualified!" Gildart says angrily while bending his head a little to his side and looking back, giving them a deadly look as they were moving.

"As I was saying, you Hunters are going to be fighting a beast as you would try to save people from dying and all the rest, and also keep them in a safe zone. Just so you know, if five percent of people you are to save dies, you would be disqualified, and if ten percent of people have fatal injuries from the beasts, you have failed and if twenty percent of the people you are to save looses there properties thanks to you, you have failed"

All the contestants mouths were wide open in shock as it sounded impossible to win.

"Oh and one more thing, as for all of you, we have a limited amount of time to be here, and you should all know that if you waist any time, you would be disqualified. I hope I mentioned that the Adventurers are competing with themselves in other to find the items hidden, plus, the Hunters will be doing there exams solo. And as for you Natsu, you'll have to be fast with the Adventurers exams if you want to make it to the Hunters own, because I'm sure most of the Hunters would be done before the Adventurers would. If the hunters are done with their exams and you haven't arrived, I won't come back for you to retake your exams while saying that it is because you were doing an adventurers exam, so be careful and manage your time wisely"

"Okay sir" Natsu replies.

"He's ruthless, what kind of instructor did they give us" the contestants thought as frustration came upon them.

"Hey, are you going to be okay?" Yami asked Natsu.

"I guess so, but one thing is certain, this exam is way tougher than before" Natsu replies.

"I don't really think so"

"Why do you say that?"

"Let's be realistic, last time, we fought different kinds of beast, plus, we had obstacles to pass. If we are being realistic, that's way tougher than fighting a beast"

"Yeah but don't forget, you will have to protect people and their properties"

"You're just making the exam sound too difficult, the truth is that they expect us to beat the beast before it makes it near the civilians" Yami says while smiling.

"Ahhaa, now I get it, your right, the exam is way simpler than the first and with the setup, I guess we weren't expected to be giving medical attention" Natsu replies.

"Yup, that's why is going to be so easy, because we are all already in full strength" Yami replies as both him and Natsu began to laugh.

"Okay everyone as I said earlier, take care of yourself and please use your time wisely" Gildart says as he reaches out for the door that they were about to enter.

"Yes sir" they all said as they thought to themselves, "What is his problem with time?"

As he opened the door they all saw men who wore an all-white uniform as the supervisor said, "Welcome to Stage 2 of the exams"

"Okay everyone, let's get the exams started, we are wasting too much time like this. I have already explained everything for them, so just get everything ready let's start, and also the Hunters are fighting solo and they aren't waiting for the Adventurers to be done. Oh and I've prepare the beasts they would fight. Here is a list of the children and the kind of beast they would fight, wait, and if you don't have the beast I suggested, tell me so I'll pick another beast. No that's too long, take me to where the beasts are, I'll place them and pick the one some student will fight" Gildart said as the supervisor became angry with his yapping.

"How dare you interrupt me, and just listen to yourself, who do you think you are?" the supervisor who welcomed them says angrily.

"Back at you, do you want to fight?" Gildart says, giving the man a deadly expression.

"Hold on, let's not get way over ourselves, besides Gildart is their instructor so just let him have his way" Dr Mayumi pleaded.

"I'm sorry but I can't do that, the higher ups have already sent the pictures of the contestants and the beast they want them to fight. Plus, the stage has already been set for the Adventurers. The only thing I can do is to let you arrange the order in which the contestants would fight" the supervisor says as he continues angrily, "This facility is here because of the higher ups and not because of you Gildart! Plus you aren't their stage 2 instructor!"

"Okay fine, we get your point, so can we at least see the information" Dr Mayumi replies.

"I'm sorry but I can't do that, your job is to watch the exams, not control it" the man says looking at Gildart dreadfully.

"Okay fine, he wants to die!" Gildart says as he tries to attack while Dr Mayumi holds him back.

"WOW!!! I can't believe this, yeah me too" everyone heard as they began to wonder who was saying that.

Meanwhile, Gildart and Dr Mayumi already knew the people because of their voices.

"Where did those two brats go?" Gildart says as he begins to look around.

"Wow, what does this button do" Natsu asked Yami.

"Don't know but let's push it" Yami replies.

The supervisor then screamed as he turned towards the control area, "Don't press anything!"

Both of them pressed the red button they saw.

Suddenly all the contestants heard a voice saying, "Exams for both the Adventurers and Hunters has began, locking all places to avoid beasts from escaping" as the alarm was sounding.

"Wow, that was better than I thought, good job guys" Gildart says happily as he gave them a thumbs up.

"This is bad, if they don't make it in time, they would all fail" Dr Mayumi replies as she hit Gildart to show a little consign.

"Amazing job both of you, I'm proud of you" Gildart says as he continues smiling and gives them a double thumbs up.

"Yep it's certain, he wants to get rid of us" all the contestants thought.

"Why are you all standing there, get moving, unless you want to fail, and as for you two" Dr Mayumi says turning towards to Natsu and Yami.

"Hmmm, there gone" Dr Mayumi said as she was surprised.

"Oh, so you didn't notice, immediately you said they would all fail, Yami activated his magic and held Natsu as they raced towards the exam ground. Those two might be stupid but Natsu immediately looked at the map over there as Yami then took him and ran. I'm sure they will make it there on time, and as for the rest of you, well, we might see next year" Gildart says as he smiles and headed towards a big screen.

Mitsuki, Kazuko and Asahu became angry with Natsu and Yami as they immediately said, "You two are dead!"

Kazuko brought out a hurricane from her hands as her seal appeared in front it.

Mitsuki shouted, "Freeze!" and also stretched her hands as a seal came in front of her hands, summoning cold air.

Since Kazuko was already using her magic, it helped Mitsuki ice to be able to freeze the whole hallways as everyone in the hallway began to run for safety.

Yami and Natsu saw a white dust heading towards them as they screamed and ran faster.

Natsu then told Yami to enter into a room that he saw opened, as they did and closed the door immediately.

They both panted and screamed, "What was that about!!!"

Everyone was surprised to see that the whole place was frozen solid, like it was so surprising because even the air froze, and there was no space to pass.
