I'm done with Stage 1 of the Exams part 2

"What do you mean by I'm done with the first stage of my exams, and how did you know that I'm in the first stage of my exams?" Natsu said.

"You're more of a dummy than I thought" the head nurse replied as she continued, "Well if I know that this is stage one of your exams, doesn't it mean that I'm part of the system"

"Oh yeah, my bad!" Natsu said as he smiled and scratched his head awkwardly.

The instructor then came out from the side of the door and said, "Where do you think you're going, you moron?"

"Didn't your brain tell you that since there was a place where people are, in the forest, that would be your finishing point?" the instructor said.

"But you said the biggest tree in the forest, from what Yami told me before he lost consciousness" Natsu replied.

"That tree is an illusion to throw the enemies and outsiders off balance" the instructor said as he sighed and then continued speaking saying, "Anyways, the doctors are coming to check on both of you and the other contestants, to make sure you all are fit for the next stage of the exams"

"Oh, okay" Natsu said as he then continued, "But what happens if one of us isn't fit for the exams?"

"Well, you'll know once that time comes, so go and rest already, and don't even think of leaving this place. If not, you'll be disqualified" the instructor said.

Natsu kept quiet as he then nodded his head and went beside Yami to sit.

The instructor then left after Natsu sat down, but before he left, he told the head nurse to keep an eye on Natsu until the doctors arrived.

Natsu began to feel sleepy since he was now relaxed, and due to the fact that he hasn't rested for a while, he began loosing consciousness.

"Everything is becoming blurry. Am I starting to lose consciousness? Hmmm, maybe it's because I haven't rested for a while. I guess I can sleep a little, until the doctor gets here. That way, the pain I feel might subside" Natsu thought as he then lost consciousness.

A little time passed before the doctors arrived.

As the doctors arrived at the tree, one was a man and the other a woman, they met a guard who took them to the medical center.

As they arrived one of the nurses said, "Dr Mayumi you're here, it's an honour to be working with you!"

"Let's leave the formality, where are the patients?" Dr Mayumi said.

"Okay ma'am, two are over there, and we will tell the remaining contestants to come for a checkup" the head nurse replied.

"Okay that's good, take me to the two patients, and tell someone to tell the remaining contestants to get here quickly, I don't have all day you know" Dr Mayumi said.

The head nurse then instructed the nurses to call the instructor and for them to get the contestants.

"Someone should go get the instructor and the rest, go get the contestants and tell them to hurry down here quickly. We don't have all day, and start preparing everything we'll need for treatment" the head nurse said.

The nurses did as they were told and went to go call them. One of the nurses even used the call line to make an announcement saying, "The doctor has just arrived, so everyone should come to get their checkup now before she goes"

While a nurse was announcing it, the other nurses were moving around to get things prepared, as the male doctor was deep in his thoughts. "Why, why, why do they always ignore me, why do they always talk about Dr Mayumi, every time it's Dr Mayumi this Dr Mayumi that, the only thing she does is to check the patients, I'm the one who heals them, so why don't they recognize me, like why does this always happen anytime I'm around her, I don't get it, what's so special about her!" the doctor thought as he was getting angry and frustrated.

The doctor was a tall guy with light skin and thick black hair, which had some red lines on it.

"Gaps!!!"

"Natsu!!! What the hell is he doing here!" Dr Mayumi said.

Everyone was surprised as the instructor then entered the room saying, "So you know him, and how's that Dr Mayumi?"

"Idiot, he fought one of my best friends, plus I was the one that treated him when he was terribly injured" Dr Mayumi replied.

"So the rumors about him fighting Tetsuya are true then" the instructor said.

"Gildart, I've known this boy a long time before you knew him, and I can see that you are an instructor for this year entrance exam into the Hunters association, or is it the Adventurers guild. But still, don't tell me how to treat my patients, plus, I won't call that a fight since Tetsuya wasn't even warmed up yet" Dr Mayumi replied.

The instructor then laughed and said, "Fine you got me, but still, I'm sure you have known that I'll be an instructor this time around"

"So your name is Gildart" Kazuko said as she and the other examiners entered the room.

"Yes, that's my name" the instructor said.

The head nurse then looked at Dr Mayumi and said, "All the contestants are here ma'am, but if you don't mind, I'd like to request something"

"Okay, and what's that?" Dr Mayumi asked.

"Well, those two look seriously injured. Plus, I'm sure the kid sitting down is in serious pain, so I was wondering if you could attend to them first, then attend to the rest later" the head nurse said.

"No!" Dr Mayumi replied bluntly.

"Okay everyone, line up, boys to the left, girls to the right" Dr Mayumi said.

"But ma'am" the head nurse said as she was then interrupted by Dr Mayumi, "I have my reasons, so please just follow orders, okay"

The head nurse didn't say anything as she later told all the other nurses, "Let's do our best to treat all the patients, okay"

"Yes ma'am!" the nurses replied.

"I want you all to tell me where it hurts once it's your turn, okay" Dr Mayumi said.

The students all nodded as she started checking them one by one.

She checked them in an orderly manner, she started with a girl, and then moved to a boy, and later a girl, just like that until she reached Kazuko, who was the last person.

Once she checks someone, she would tell the other doctor, Dr Erin, to heal them, as she would point out the place to focus on mostly.

"I don't have any place that's hurting" Kazuko said.

"Don't think you can fool me kid. Your hands are strained, plus your whole muscles are aching" Dr Mayumi said.

"It's nothing" Kazuko replied.

"Don't try to act tough because Yami's awake or is it because of Natsu" Dr Mayumi said.

"Dr Erin, just heal her already, plus I have to go check on Yami before I enter our troublemaker Natsu" Dr Mayumi said as she went towards Yami and continued, "Okay Yami let's see, you mostly have broken bones, plus, you strained your muscles, that shouldn't be a problem"

"Yeah, for me at least. I have already lost enough magic powers, and once I'm done with this girl, I'll also have to heal that boy. Plus there is still one more. I know, I'll make her heal that kid with bandages, then they'll see how useless she truly is" Dr Erin said in his mind as he then had a wicked smile on his face.

"Hey, Dr Mayumi, with the way that boy's diagnosed, I don't think I'll be able to heal the other one" Dr Erin said as Dr Mayumi turned towards Natsu and looked at his injuries with consign, as he then had a wicked smile on his face.

"Oh, that's not a problem. I was already planning on handling Natsu myself, so just heal the boy already and leave. Besides, you don't have enough magic energy to heal his kind of injuries" Dr Mayumi said.

"Damn that witch, she thinks she can get rid of me that easily, I'll make her pay" Dr Erin thought as he then replied, "Okay ma'am" and stood up to heal Yami since he was done with Kazuko.

Once he finished with Yami, he said, "Dr Mayumi, I'm done with him"

"Okay, all of you should leave including you Yami, I know you're already awake, so don't act like you're sleeping" Dr Mayumi said.

"But ma, what if anything happens, you might need help or assistance with something" the head nurse asked.

"If I need anyone's help I'll call, now, everyone should get out of here already" Dr Mayumi said.

"I'm not going anywhere" Gildart replied as he then continued, "I'm in charge of him so I can't just leave him with you without anyone be-in here Dr Mayumi"

"Don't make this harder for me than it already is, Gildart" Dr Mayumi said.

"I'm so sorry for the intrusion, but if we want Natsu to be better, isn't it better we leave it to the professionals?" Yami asked.

"She can do what she wants here kid, but she's not, that means she's hiding something. It's also possible it's the enemy imitating her" Gildart replied.

"Fine then, if you all want to see me work, it's okay, but you'll regret this Gildart" Dr Mayumi said.

"Okay Natsu, let's see" Dr Mayumi said as she placed her hands on his chest and closed her eyes.

"Your injuries are almost as bad as before, I'm still wondering how you're still alive with the injuries you have" Dr Mayumi said.

She suddenly felt a grip on her hand that surprised her a little, as she heard a voice, "That's enough"

Natsu woke up from his sleep because as Dr Mayumi touched his chest, it caused him serious pains.

She opened her eyes and saw Natsu holding her hands.

"I'm fine, and besides, you don't have to tell everyone my condition" Natsu said.

"I know, I told them to leave but they refused, so it's not my fault" Dr Mayumi replied.

Gildart was shocked to hear this, but decided not to say anything.

"How long have I been unconscious?" Natsu asked.

"For about two hours" the head nurse replied.

Natsu tried to get up but stumbled a little and then touched his head due to the pain he was feeling.

"You're in no condition to be moving around Natsu, plus your in serious pain, you can't handle stage 2 of the exams like this, you need treatment" Dr Mayumi said.

"You aren't the judge of that" Natsu replied.

"Don't try to act tough! I believe you already know how my powers works right, so you can't act the way you want to, especially not around me, so just rest for now, I'll heal you later" Dr Mayumi replied.

"Sigh!!!"

"Fine, but for a little while, then I'm out of here. Besides, I'm only here for the exams and not to get treatment from you" Natsu replied.

"Trying to play tough are you, anyways, that won't work so just rest up already" Dr Mayumi replied.

Natsu had a bad experience with Dr Mayumi before he left the place he was to the city.

"Maybe I should cause him more pain to see if he would break" Dr Mayumi said in a very low tone.

"I heard you!" Natsu said as he gently sat down and looked at everyone who was looking at him strangely, as they had the same thought, "Who the hell is this kid?"
