You Never Loved Me
There's blood everywhere. I've never seen so much blood. It splattered onto the light tan carpet, laying underneath an oak brown coffee table, letting the murder weapon rest upon it. The blood... it's endless. The droplets were drilling slower and slower like the time before I was caught.
The more I try to think about what happened, the worse my mind scrambles to put piece by piece together. Like how I got here.
Should I run? Going through the front would be tricky—too many eyes lurking. The backdoor is unlocked, but I have evidence on my hands–blood. His blood.
His breathless body lay in a pool of it. How would I even clean this up? If I tried scrubbing the rug, it would leave a trail of blood behind in the light brown wooden flooring.
Before I could decide on what to do, the front door creaks. My thoughts vanished into a panic. "Oh please, no..! Don't come any closer.." I began to think but who would hear that?
"Hello? Is anyone in here? Lucia? James?"
The footsteps grew louder as they began to get to the living room. My body reacted too quickly for my comprehension. My hand grabbed the weapon as my legs began to sprint towards the backdoor, forgetting the blood I mistakenly left on the knob.
I didn't mean to do it. It wasn't my fault..! You never loved me but I wish I didn't kill you.
