Chapter 5; Grandma

It was already the sixth day since I've been here in the mansion, but everything seems normal. I didn't even once encounter grandma even once. Even though I had this really weird and uncomfortable feeling but nothing bad happened at all. Yes I wasn't treated as a princess here but it was still okay, even though I have to wake up early and work until eight o'clock it was still good.

Keiko had totally already forgot about her grandmother's stare at her that day and was already gotten used to the environment, even though she is still sad deep in her heart about her parents death she had decided to at least keep that to her self.

Keiko as usual was doing her work, in this time her work was to do the laundry and since it was already a modern time she only had to operate the washing machine. While waiting for it to be done she arrange the clothes remaining that is still to be washed. She separate the dress, clothes, bottoms, and the quilts and she didn't forgot to separate the colored ones and the white and black just as Emma instructed her that to make sure there's no loop holes she must separate the black ones too. Although at first she told Emma if it was really needed but Emma answer her confidently.

"Yes it is, so as you know we separate the white ones from colored ones as it was possible that it'll get tainted by the others. So think about it what if the black ones tainted the others it'll be our fault too and goodness this clothes are so precious as some of them worth a house, you get it?"

'Well, her logic is somewhat convincing...but if that was the case didn't we also have to separate the other colored ones each of their respective colors?... aren't that a big hassle?'

But Keiko didn't refute Emma's Logic anymore and just followed what she said to put her at ease. Anyway after the third day Keiko was already assigned by her schedule work to do so she only meet Emma when their schedule was the same and when they are already at their room.

And after an hour's later Keiko finally finished the laundry and all was already arrange in he basket waiting to be put in the dryer and this work was assigned on Jessa. Keiko was already waiting for Jessa to get this all to the dryer nextdoor as she still have tons of things to do. Then she saw Jessa to that seems to be exhausted and gasping for air desperately, Keiko wasn't sure why she looked tired and also a little terrified? Keiko snaps out of it and says to her self that she is over reacting and also besides running is the thing everyone avoid to do so afraid of tripping over something precious.

"What's wrong, sister Jess?"

"Huff...huff...you..hah..wait.le-t.me.huff.breath"

Then she tried to breathe and gasping more air to stable her self. Then when finally she seems more fine unlike lately she quickly grabbed both of my shoulder and shake me like she was trying to get a coin on a piggy bank.

"Listen, you are chosen by the madam to serve her dessert this time at the garden. No it's more like she is summoning you, I've already heard about you and her relationship...So listen carefully, you must not act carelessly and must make sure you didn't do anything wrong even just a little, a very little movement not even a little step too near or too far from madam. I know you're a smart kid so you have to think first before answering and don't make madam wait too long either. FOLLOW.WHAT.SHE.SAID.'HUFF'"

Jessa seems overstated it and also she just said all of that in one breath that's why she's gasping again right now. but the look of seriousness and worried look in her eyes is so genuine.

"Okay, okay, calm down now. I'll remember everything."

'I have already forgotten about that look in grandma's eyes that day, now that I had an opportunity to discover more I'll definitely will not let it go'

After Keiko had assure Jessa, she finally led Keiko to the garden. As they arrived at the garden's entrance she stopped there and remind Keiko again that don't forget what she said and then she left there and Keiko was escorted by one of the guard inside.

As they walked inside it Keiko was mesmerized by the beautiful view. The garden had tree's around it that is trimmed and arrange nicely, and there was also many different flowers around it and was all orderly arrange and it looked breathtaking and the smells of plants where everywhere it's really refreshing. Thinking about it the whole mansion itself was already breathtaking and elegant itself.

Thinking about it the mansion's design was that of the western 19th era and the modern era. By combining both different era design, it was more sophisticated.

'Thinking about it although all parts of the mansion was nicely decorated but the garden has more attention. It seems that grandma liked this garden so much, I bet that with those bodyguards outside the entrance no one must've enter this place uninvited.'

Only when Keiko heard the head maid's voice did she regain herself. The head maid lend her the cart that is filled with sweets.

"You can take this there yourself".

The maid pointed one pavilion that stand out dou to it's white color and red rose covering the pillar. After doing so she stepped aside letting her passed and the bodyguard who escorted her had already left. Taking a deep breath she carefully take a step forward making sure her step is not too load or too quite balancing everything just as Jessa said.

The older woman who was sitting in the pavilion and is sipping her tea patiently. She looked like she's still in her middle age, her face didn't have that much wrinkles only two in her cheeks near the lips but it makes her more elegant. Black hair and that turquoise colored eyes, pale white skin, superior and cold aura, and plus that emotionless face of her everything screams perfection.

'Grandma must've been so beautiful in her younger days.... taking a look at grandma, she seems lonely I guess.'

"What?...what are you still standing there for?..."

"Ahh I'm sorry -" I didn't know what to call her so I just bowed and then quickly but leisurely put every sweet in the table.

Souzeit calmly took one piece of cake and then eat it diligently. After taking three bites she picked up the tissue and wipes her mouth. Souzeit glance at Keiko and looked up and down.

"So Kieko's your name huh?."

"Yeah"

"If I'm not wrong, it must've mean something like 'adorned or favored child's right?."

"Yeah, something like that."

"Hah...O don't think this name suits you.."

Keiko was taken a back by how her grandmother just scoffed at her and said that her name doesn't suit her and also with a sarcastic tone.

"But anyway, this way by the time this very name of yours will be the very reason for giving you more 'salt'"

'What did grandma mean by that, is she saying something?.

"Ahh but anyway this way it'll make me remember that your connected by 'that' woman, just like your mother. It reminded me where you both belongs."

'Who is 'that' woman grandma is talking about. And what's wrong by my name, does grandma hates Japan language, and also by saying this things grandma seems to had hated me more.'

"Tsk...I really hate this face..."

Grandma looked at me with those eyes again. It was only full of hatred and resentment.

Souzeit stand up and walked towards the standing little Keiko who's looking at her with those pure colored amethyst like eyes that looks like sparkling. And with the tied up dark purple colored hair that is like a beautiful night sky.

"I... really, really hate this face..."

'Slapped'

As little Keiko was slapped hardly and unexpectedly she fell down on the ground hardly scratching her white and pale skin and her poor cheek was red dou to the slapped but her thought is only full of confusion.

'Why did she slapped me and what does she means about hating my face. I didn't even do anything wrong to her, is it possible that she hated mom. But mom's her daughter, is it also connected by that woman?'

"Hateful, really hateful..."

"Grandma..." Keiko unconsciously called out to Souzeit.

'Slapped'

"Shut up...you are not allowed to call be that. Your not my relative and will never be...!"

Souzeit full range grab little Keiko's hair pulling it up making Keiko groan in pain.

"Listen you worthless and useless kid, know your place."

Then Souzeit let go of her grip from Kieko's hair harshly and order something to the head maid before leaving. After the head maid received the order she quickly approach little Keiko who was having a hard time standing up. Then the head maid quickly order one of the bodyguard to carry Keiko and lead the way.

Kieko in this time can't help faint by this sudden event. Even though Kieko was already more intelligence than her peers but she was just after all a kid and eight years old kid. So Kieko was taken away unconsciously.

Souzeit before entering the room strictly told the butler that one one should step in this floor today. And then after that she entered and lock the door and after the hall outside was already so quiet she walked up to the wall and open the secret room and after entering she closed it and then she stands there motionless facing the black curtain that is covering something.

Then she walked up to it and uncovered it a little showing only a little part that is covered. After Souzeit uncovered it two portrait of two different woman was shown. It was clear that the two woman in the two portrait was not someone dear to her as there was a mark of dart's holes.

Souzeit took a box full of darts in a drawer near by and started shooting at the two portrait, cursing and shouting.

"It's all your fault!"

"Both of you is at fault"

"You're the one's who ruined my life"

"It's you both mother and daughter's fault"

"D***Ed you two...you both must be in hell"

"Huff...huff..ha, hahaha "

"You both must've escape from me already"

"But she wouldn't"

"I wouldn't allow it!"

"I wouldn't let my mistake happened again by letting that kid take someone who's also important to me"

"Did both of you see that?. I wasn't even beginning yet."

"Hahaha...."

A loud laughing and cursing voice echoed in the hallway and from the silence in it since no one is in the hallway it all looks so creepy and anyone who's going to witness this atmosphere would get a deja Vu feeling and some would even faint.
